we got these tablets in at work and the pen stylus we got doesnt work. i searched online and saw the hp active pen works for this unit. it pairs but doesnt work. i have imaged the unit 2 times updated all drivers manualy and went on www.support.hp.com and got all the drivers for that unit downloaded but still dont work.
is there a patch or a different type of pen i need to get for this to work?

I have a 4k external monitor connected through an Insignia brand USB-C to HDMI adapter.
I also have my external speakers (2.1) connected to the back of my monitor and am sending my audio through HDMI.
The reason for this is because my speakers have a standard 3 ring connector and the laptop has a 4 ring hole (audio out and microphone in). But, the monitor has a 3 ring output connector on the back.
I'm getting horrible screen flickering!

I have had my HP Envy for just shy of 30 days, 2 days short to be exact. About a week ago, when I was watching a movie, I noticed that there seemed to be odd, thin, color stripes running vertically down the right-side of my screen. I had not dropped or damaged it in any way, as it's being treated like a new born at the moment and I'm very careful with it.
It was only noticeable when I was watching something and seemed to dissappear the rest of the time, so I've been ignoring it. However, when my laptop shut down last night, the stripes had grown to take up about an inch of space instead of the few stripes it had previously been.
I'm not sure if this is my LCD screen deteriorating or another issue, and as much as I don't want the hassle of returning the laptop, I also don't want this to be an issue further down the line after the warranty has expired. Is this an issue that might get worse?
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics informed me that the Extended Video Memory Test failed. Did not give me any error ID. How do I troubleshoot from here?
I have a cracked screen on my HP-Compaq PAVILION 14-N218US TOUCHSMART. HP apparently doesn't carry the part anymore and I can't seem to find a replacement online. I believe I have to replace both the glass and screen, but I'm not sure of that. But regardless, not having any luck with online retailers who are carrying this screen. Any one have any advice?

From windows 8.1 64bit , I upgraded my Pavilion g4-2202tx laptop to Windows 10 64 bit.
My problem is that I can't switch graphics from intel to AMD but it's installed on my device manager. And the "Render" tab which is located beside "Display" under DXDIAG is not available anymore.
I provided bellow the link I used to install my graphics driver. The supported OS was 8.1, 8, 7 (all 64bit).
I selected 8.1 64bit and installed it.

suddenly i have those black scratch on my pc , the first day it was 1 cm tall and thin, after few days it started increasing in size after one month it has become 3 cm tall and more wider, so i am asking how shall I fix this thing
I love the Zbook x2 -- but here is a deal killer:
The current HP software causes the DISPLAY SETTINGS to be locked when the kickstand is deployed (in use), and the mechanical keyboard is detached & also (very seriously) causes the ON-SCREEN TOUCH KIEYBOARD to not automatically popup. Furthermore, lowering and raising the kickstand makes the machine ask you if you want to go into or leave Tablet Mode. Even if i choose to stay in Tablet Mode, when deploying kickstand, the software PREVENT SCREEN ROTATION & PREVENTS THE ON-SCREEN TOUCH KEYBOARD.
Why is this important?
HP's software seems to ASSUME that if the kickstand is deployed, you are using the physical keyboard and that you want to leave tablet mode -- there is CLEARLY a sensor in the Kickstand that detects when kickstand is opened, PRESUMING you're using a physical keyboard -- this is insane. The kickstand is incredibly important for balancing the tablet in Tablet Mode. Furthermore, there is absolutely NO REASON that the kickstand should be the thing which chooses if i can use onscreen touch keyboard and have screen rotation or not. It also should NOT ask you if you want to switch from Tablet mode to regular mode, just because you deploy the kickstand. It should do this ONLY WHEN YOU ATTACH the physical keyboard. WHY DOES IT DO IT WHEN USING KICKSTAND!?!?!? Crazy and makes it very, very frustration.
HP must STOP the kickstand from controlling whether or not you can use Onscreen Touch Keyboard, and whether or not Screen Rotation is possible, and it needs to STOP asking you if you want to leave Tablet mode, when deploying the kickstand.
I am using the win 10 LATEST BIOS and Software updates. Direct from your HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT program.
Return control of our computers to us! The kickstand should absolute NEVER limit an artist!!! How offensive! I NEED TO USE THAT KICKSTAND WHILE IN TABLET MODE WITHOUT PHYSICAL KEYBOARD -- but it sucks that I can't use the onscreen keyboard if i do!!!
In the past I can turn the synaptic touchpad off because I want to use an USB mouse. But nowadays I can't turn the touchpad off anymore. Is there a solution to turn the touchpad off again?

Is anyone else experiencing graphic driver problems on a zbook g4? (Quadro M2200 )
There are a few programs, such as google chrome, that have very poor performance.
When a gpu is needed (ie. when playing a video on youtube) the video plays for 1-2 seconds, then 5 seconds freeze, then again 1-2 seconds play, 5 seconds freeze,.. this happens 3 or 4 times, after this the video plays fine. During the frozen frames, audio is fine.
When logging gpu usage, the gpu is active during playing, but drops to 0 during the freezes.
Things I tried to solve the problem:
-disable all extensions in chrome
-reinstall chrome
-disable hardware acceleration
-in the Nvidia control panel, try to select each graphics card as preferred processor.
-in the BIOS, disable external gpu, disable internal gpu, hybrid selection, automatic selection
-Reinstall windows 10
-roll back Nvidia drivers
-roll back integrated gpu drivers
-Try different internet connection
Fix: Running Chrome as administrator solves the problem. But this is anoying as the UAC poppup is there every time opening the program..
Current drivers are
-23.20.16.5018 for HD graphics 630
-391.25 for quadro M2200
A second problem I am experiencing is the one on the link below, is anyone aware for a solution on this?
My current solution is to restart the notebook every time, wich is not very efficient to work with.. As I have to do this every time I open or close the Lid.

When I purchased this laptop I scanned the barcode and saw that it had a backlit keyboard, but I not able to turn it on. I've tried all of the FN keys and it will not turn on. How do I turn this on? Below is what was in the description from the scan.

Suddenly a thin horizontal line has appeared across my screen. Sometimes it is red and other times its either pale green or lilac. Nothing seems to be affected and the laptop behaves normal. How can I get rid of it as it is very annoying. It is a very thin line about half way down the screen,there are no other lines of any kind just this one.

We are only using for Word and Outlook and drawings.

What special monitor connection do I need for the other port.?
What adapter do I need to convert these connections with.?
