My laptop doesn't have a VGA port so I ordered a HDMI GOLD MALE TO VGA HD-15 MALE Cable 6FT 1080P, and tried connecting to my Dell 2200MP projector but the projector is not recognizing the laptop and I just see a blue screen.
Do I need to change any settings on my laptop before being able to project? Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks!
I have been having problems with my HP Envy M4 notebook. The display is blinking. So I call the support people on Monday, July 01.
1. First teh representative was kind and took the unit information and told me that a supervisor would verify and then order to fix will be placed. After about 20 minutes, a so-called-supervisor answered and apparently, this person seems to be from a third party service.
2. I was feeling relieved that this is going to be over, then he tells me that for an additional fee, my unit will be shipped QUICKLY. I said i DO NOT want to pay. For another 15 minutes, there was explaination of terms and conditions.
3. I was told to make a copy of the files. I was requesting for instructions for creating a backup. The rep told me that it would not be possible and all the data will be WIPED off. How Painful!
4. After all that, i thought my ticket is created and I will see a box for the laptop to be shipped. Nothing.
5. I saw an an email on 7/3 (2 days after!) which said TWO contradictory sentences: A. if the address is right do nothing. B. If the unit is right, send a reply with shipping address.
6. Immediately I went to see the status of the ticket and found that the ticket says "Awaiting customer input". I have replied to the above email saying the address is right and the unit is under warranty.
It is really disappointing! I hope the unit gets attended soon!

Hi,
I have a Hpg6-1108sa in the office that refuses to work with any external monitors. When plugged in via VGA cable the monitor and laptop both flash, as though it's about to show something, then the monitor displays "No Signal"
In the Device Manager the laptop recognises the monitor's correct name and the new device sound plays when it's plugged in and likewise when it's unplugged it makes a sound.
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 (Driver Version: 8.900.7.1000)
Monitor: Acer V193GQV
(Also Tried a Toshiba Tv and an AOC e2250)
Any ideas would be great!
Thanks!
Hi Guys,
I have a Compaq F500 whose motherboard failed, and after going to the local notebook shop was "turned into" a Pavillion DV6000. At least that is what the BIOS now says at boot.
So now, since Id lie to continue running Windows XP, I am left withoiut the video drivers for this machine. I can only find Windows 7 drivers for it. Under XP I can only use the defauylt Windows driver that is very slow and does not provide full resolution.
Can someone point me to the corect video drivers for the Pavillion DV6000 that will work with Windows XP SP3?
Thanks,
Bruno
I have used a vga cable to connect to my tv with my old hp laptop and it worked just fine. Now I'm trying to connect with my newer laptop (hp pavilion dm4-2180us) and all I get is horizontal static (lines). Is there a setting I need to change?
I have a compaq CQ61-420US Notebook running Windows 7 Home Premium. I am having trouble with an internet screen display. It appears as if it is wrapping around. Very similar to a printer, when the output is greater than the printer can print. IE, it prints one page with the left side of the print and then prints the right side on the next page.
The screen is displaying part of the screen on top, and then underneath is the other part with some of the screen display trucated.
I have gone to a different notebook and ran the url and it displayed ok. Their is some little nuance that is alluding me.
Can anyone help?
I have a 4525S running Windows 7 pro.
I tuned it on today and no video.
I can hear the drive reading something.
I don't hear any beep codes.
I attached an external monitor, no video there either.
It's out of warranty now.
How would you troubleshoot this problem?
Hi All
I Have HP G62 A22SE And I Have Windows 8 64 Bit
Since I Installed It The Screen Brihtness Is Zero And I Cant See Anything From It But When I Connect The Laptop With An External Monitor It Works + I Cant Enable My Intel Graphics Card Driver ! :(
PLEASE GUYS HELP !!
To HP: You simply suck because ignoring me and many of us and you don't do nothing!
You probably don't realize if you let down / fail one costumer, you fail many many more!
When people will stop buying your products because of your laziness to update drivers it will be too late to get their trust back. Remember that. You have lost mine completely!
My latest graphic card drivers ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5059553#N514 ) are from 2011-06-03!!
ARE YOU F* SERIOUS?!?
For a notebook HP Envy 17-2080en that costed more then 1500€ you can afford to IGNORE costumers??
You probably update drivers for notebooks (low-mid range 400-600€) because with those you have more costumers (quantity) but you ignore us "high-end" buyers!
EPIC F* FAIL!!
And don't you dare articulate on AMD/ATI because this is yours problem, we have figured that out in more than a year believe me.
i have compaq cq60-230ev.if the laptop power on the screen is dead do not show enithing.the backlight work the screen is soft white , not completely WHITE this mean the inverter is ok.Replace the lcd with one original same type but i have same problem.with the other lcd screen not same (not wide screen) the laptop work.wattr is the problem????.
So I have a HP Pavilion 15-b150 with AMD Radeon HD 7400G and I was wondering if there is any way to update the graphics drivers (on Win8)? The ones I have are the same ones as on the product page on the HP site and they are pretty old. I tried using the Catalyst updater from the AMD site, but it told me it was incompatible due to hardware/software? Surely there must be some way to update it.
I recently purchased a new HP Pavilion G6-2276sa. I like to connect a monitor and have it in a portrait view. I cannot seem to be able to rotate the screen on this new laptop as I did on my previous laptop, where I used the shortcut ctrl+alt+left arrow key to rotate the screen. This doesn't work and there doesn't seem to be a rotate screen option in the display settings.
Please can somebody advise me on how to rotate the screen?
I have had this laptop for few months now and gaming never was a big deal for me.
This has changed now and upon trying dozens of new releases ( Metro, Arma III etc. ) and the bottleneck effect is becoming a real issue.
Not long ago I had to format my computer, mainly 'cause I disliked Windows 8, and installed Windows 7 64-bit system.
When opening Dxdiag it shows Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 - Shouldn't it say AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series?
Under Device Manager I can see both Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 and AMD Radeon HD 7600M Series under Display Adapters.
I have LITERALLY tried every single beta, pre-beta, alpha and finished AMD Drivers but I just can't get this working.
After restarting the laptop I get following error: "Could not find AMD Driver" or something close to that.
What could be the issue? Missing drivers? Incompatibility with Windows 7? Plain bottleneck issue in regards of CPU & GPU?
Hoping to get this resolved asap, even if it means I'll have to buy better laptop :)
Serial: Edited the serial out as someone has stated on another topic.
Product: C8D56EA#UUW
Model: HP Pavilion G7-2200eo

EDIT: I unistalled and re-installed the AMD driver directly from HP site from this link: Driver - Graphics
I got following error after install + when trying to open CCC.
No AMD GRaphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD Driver appropriate for your AMD Hardware.
I've tried probably 15 different AMD and ATI drivers and none of them are working. I ran Driver Sweeper or whatever it was called and removed what was left of the old drivers, then I installed the new drivers again, and nothing happens. Someone told me that I had to use HP drivers only, so I tried that too but it's still the same. I updated BIOS and all the other drivers, and it's all working except for the screen driver. I do have a suspicion that the chipset driver isn't working like it should, because I get an exclamation mark next to the HD 4250 in the device manager and as far as I could find out the M880G chipset and 4250 drivers came in one package. Not sure if that is correct though.
I have 1hz in Windows, it's running in vgasave mode, and I have to disable the HD 4250 and keep only the HD 5400 chip enabled, or else I will get a black screen after the splash screen. When uninstalling the cards in the device manager they will be removed, and then the computer will install whichever drivers Win 7 have lying around, and they install, telling me they work, but they do not. I also have a code 43 which I assume is because of the missing driver.
Just a few minutes ago I installed an old driver for the 5400 that *seems* to be working, and for the first time in a week I'm able to start the computer with both graphics cards enabled; I still have an exclamation card next to the 4250 card, but at least the computer turns on without the screen going black on me.
Not sure what else to tell you - just ask questions and I'll answer.
Edit: Oh, and the device manager on longer tells me it's a Radeon 5470, it just says 5400 series. I guess the driver I installed is some kind of generic driver or something.
