Vertical lines on screen after startup - Pavilion dv6 Notebook LTO69AV
Hello,
I am using Windows 7, and whenever I turn on my computer, an initial gray screen appears, which then fades into a variety of colored vertical lines (mainly white, with a large black bar near the middle). Originally after this happened, I was able to connect the computer to my TV and the display would work fine on the TV. I could use the TV as my monitor. But then, after reading some advice, I decided to try and boot my computer in safe mode. I opened the "System Configuration" window, selected "Diagnostic Startup" under the "General" tab, and "Safe Boot" under the "Boot" tab. I then clicked OK, and restarted my computer. This time, the lines still appeared (although they looked a bit different than usual), but now nothing would even display on the TV screen. I rebooted the computer, but still no display on the TV screen. Is there anyway I can reboot in normal mode WITHOUT the use of my computer screen (such as a keyboard shortcut or something)? It seems that booting in safe mode is causing me to not be able to use the TV as a screen.
And more generally, does anybody have any idea what is wrong with my computer, or how I can fix it? I have not downloaded or changed anything on my computer recently. Everything was working fine, and then suddenly my screen stopped working.

Black screen on start-up
My daughter has a HP2000-329wm running windows 7 home premium. Her 7 yr old son was playing some game on Kizi.com and brought the computer to mother with garbage characters on the screen. She tried to work with it but ended
up having to remove the battery to shut the computer down. On restarting it boots up to a black screen with a cursor that is movable. I have run all the tests available on F2 System Diagnostics with no errors found, one even over 3 hrs to run thru. Bios F.43 is current on System Information, F10 BIOS Setup would not update but would reset t F.30.
We do not really want to run Recovery as she has info just recently added she wishes not to lose.
I think it has something to do with video settings but don't know how to fix with no desktop access.

Problem with loading desktop
My laptop froze and I couldn't turn it off so I had to unplug the A/C cord or whatever it's called. My battery isn't work and will get a new one soon. Anyways, when I tried to turn it on again I accidentally pressed on the option which will restore startup or something like that instead of "Run in normal mode" and then I tripped on the A/C chord causing my laptop to turn off and I think the restore startup mode or whatever wasn't done yet when it happened. I plugged in my laptop and turned it on and tried to start my laptop in normal mode but after I logged in with my password I just go a black screen. Unable to use GPU in laptop, HP Pavilion G6-1005SQ
Hi. I have a problem with my laptop. It's a HP Pavilion G6-1005SQ, Core i3-380M, 3GB RAM, Intel HD 3000 + Radeon HD 6470M 1GB graphics. I recently got a BSOD after which Windows recovered and i was able to boot it without any obvious issues. However, i decided to do a fresh install on Windows 7 64-bit, just in case (because i wasn't present when the BSOD occured so i cannot tell you what went wrong and what the proper error code or details were). After the install (fresh, having formatted the OS partition) i cannot properly install the GPU drivers, neither the Intel graphics nor the Radeon. In Device Manager i get two generic graphic adapters, one of which says Code 10: device cannot start. I tried installing the graphics drivers from HP, Intel Graphics (which do not recognize my laptop) and AMD (Catalyst installs but does not start at boot, and device name does not change in Device Manager from "generic etc."). The screen resolution can be set to native (1366 x 784, while getting a Generic Monitor as a display in the resolution screen), but Windows Aero does not start, anything gaming related like Solitaire gives me a "hardware acceleration is disabled" error, and movies play, but the video resolution is really low somehow, normal framerate, but kind of pixelated, i can't explain it better . I couldn't find any GPU toggles in BIOS, or anythig related to GPU there. My warranty expired a few months back, so i keep hoping its software related, and not something fried, like ventilation issues leading to overcooked GPU or something. In retrospect, i wish i checked if the GPU worked properly after the original crash, i never played any games or watched any movies before reinstalling Windows but i distinctly remember Aero was working at that time, so i would assume hardware acceleration/drivers/gpu were ok. Any help would be apreciated, and sorry for the wall of text.

Cyberlink YouCam - one minute there the next minute gone!

I have a HP Pavilion g6-2334sa.
I bought it just over a week ago now and the system for using the webcam which i believe is called Cyberlink YouCam was working fine, then HP Support Assistance asked me to do some upgrades and now i cannot find YouCam anywhere, as if it's been deleted. When i go on the list of programs in my control pannel it is noth there yet in my documents in pictures there is a short cut to it. When i click on this short cut nothing happens!
I have looked on the cyberlink website and cannot download the software again as it is somthing i would have to pay for and I'm a student still libving with my parents and would like to avoid paying for software that was initially pre-installed if possible.
Please help me, i want my webcam back!!

Unable to update Graphics Driver

Support Assistant says my graphics driver is oudated (and it causes me being unable to use MS Moviemaker). I have tried numerous times to upgrade via SA, but it fails.
Then I tried HP site which identifies everything and when I try to install it says something like not the right specs.
Yesterday I decided to try from Intel site. I did update the driver, but it still does not work properly, since it is generic and not HP specific.
This is an old problem and I only managed to sort out a SA problem a few days ago which allowed me to reach this point,. So I would really appreciate help

Its switchable graphics
but if I changed the game sittings to high performance in ccc manager
the game stay working by intel hd 4000 graphic
not working with ati card
and the games working very slowly
like games (max payne3 , pes 2013 , fifa 2013 , etc )
how can I fix this problem

I had to reinstall my windows XP, and now my video and audio boards don`t work properly. I tried to install the files provided in HP site, but it didn`t work. They seem to be just fix/enhancer drivers; not installing drivers. Can anyone help me out? My note book is a pavillion dv9000

HP g62-a40sp HDMI blue screen
Hi there
I have a g62-a40sp for arround 3/4 years, and always used an external monitor to use the laptop.
One day, i turn off the computer and the next day when i turn on the PC he gives Blue screen when i connect to ANY monitor with ANY cable.
I've tried 7 diferent monitors including my friend's stuff and cables and always gave the blue screen

Intel widi not compatible
Hi,
I recently formatted my laptop and installed windows 8,
Then i've tried to download and instal intel widi from hp drivers' page, but it results that this software is not compatible.
So i'd like to know if it is true or i missed to install something or i did something wrong.
My laptop is a Pavilion dv6-7090 with: intel i7 3610-qm and broadcom wireless lan adapter.

graphic card problem with my pavillion
I have a HP Dv6-6135dx.
It has a A8-3500M APU with radeaon hd graphics... That won't update either, I get an error can't rewrite catalyst/mobility/ATIMMcDnald.MSI
It has a switchable graphics AMD 6620G and an AMD 6750M. I realized my games were really struggling. So I went to check the graphics properties by left clicking and finding it on Catalyst Control Center. Every time I do that it says that the my computer doesn't have a proper AMD driver or that I don't have the graphic adapter on my computer. Control panel sees both, recognizes both, and says both are running fine. I checked the performance on the two cards, nothing is going through the 6750m. I tried to update it and I install the mobility suite and I go to install it and again it says ATI Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware/software on you computer. your computer does not contain a proper graphics adapter.
Both my graphics card are updated so why am I having this problem? Need help please!
I went to HP and they had a BIOS update... Did that, didn't change anything.
Uninstalled, installed, no change.
Any ideas?

HP Envy 15-3040NR Graphics Driver
I'm posting this here because I can't seem to find an email for HP customer support, which is sort of lame. I'm looking to see if HP will ever update the graphics driver for the HP Envy 15-3040NR. The one current Windows 8 driver on the support page is dated 10-18-2012, which was a week before Windows 8 was released. This driver doesn't work properly. I had to make some adjustments to my registry to bring back brightness control, and the AMD catylist control center has ceased to work since I "upgraded" to Windows 8.
Will HP EVER release an update for this graphics driver, or do I need to settle with my work around and be left out in the cold by another giant corporation that has too many products to provide proper support?
Sure wish I could email my concern to someone :(

HP Pavilion dv6-3160us ATI RADEON 5650 video card problems
So I'm trying to play DOTA2 or whatever video game. But the graphics glitched out, having weird lines and stuff. This is with any game i play that requires 3D graphics. So I've installed every driver under the sun. Now I have this 13.6 beta 2 driver from AMD but the backlight won't come on the laptop. But however will display on my HDTV. I've been trying and trying. Now if I default back to the driver on the HP site the backlight won't come on? But with another driver the backlight will come on but moving windows/opening sites lag a lot. Any help? Thanks!!1

HP HDX18 -1180US intermittent dimming gray and flickering screen
HDX 18 - 1180US Laptop, Vista OS, 64 bit.
On booting up the screen flickers in black and then shades of gray - even constant gray with icons/emails seen through it, but hard to read. Sometimes the screen will click into full brightness and operates properly for hours. When in gray/dimmed mode, I can sometimes even move the screen lid a little or even just touch it and the nice bright screen appears. Doesn't always stay that way though. If I manually lower the screen brightness via fn key and f7, the screen begins flickering. Then raise the brightness via f8 key and no more flickering.
What is the problem? Anyone have the same experience? The computer is only 4 years old. Out of warranty.
