so - half the keys do not respond on keyboard and touch pad also doesnt work - the caps lock is, locked on - and also the mute button is locked on.

I recently purchased a HP OMEN 17-W102na from a re-seller. I found the laptop to be useful but the Nvidia display drivers would consistently crash (ranging anywhere between every 20mins to every few hours) and display an artifacted/with many lines and distorted colours. Temperatures idle at 52oc and this crash tends never to occur when actually playing demanding titles where the temperature may increase.
I have attempted to fix this already by
- using two different Nvidia driver versions : 390.65 (Lastest driver as of this post) and an earlier driver - reinstalling multiple times.
- I have completely wiped the entire computer using windows reset
- I have also used HP's own recovery software to reinstall the OS.
- Testing for video memory - fast check sees nothing wrong with the GPU.
- adding TdrDelay in the registry to change the timeout time - did not fix, but reduced the longevity of the crashes.
I have discovered that the warranty for the laptop has ran out - so what are my support options at this stage and would anyone know any solutions to the above if it isn't a dying GPU? HP's website is rather unclear about it. Should I return this laptop?

hulpprogramma's (KB...etc) van Microsoft gedownload, doch lukt niet. Gaarne uw advies om e.e.a.
werkend te krijgen om video's te bewerken om dan op DVD te zetten. Ik wil niet opwaarderen naar
Windows 10. Het moet toch ook onder Windows 7 kunnen?

After I have updated to the most recent BIOS, the colours (saturation wise) have become default. I have intel hd 620 and nvidia geforce mx150 graphics cards in my laptop and in the Intel Graphics Settings application there used to be a saturation option bar which would increase the saturation of my display. This was very helpful in particular for games.
Now, after the bios update, both the HUE and SATURATION features in the display panel have dissapeared, and im now left with only Brightness,contrast and Colour Accuracy options which are of practical no use for the desired applications I use increased saturation for.
I have updated the drivers several times, and now left with no more options.
I was gaming for about 20 minutes and the fans starting running real fast and then the computer crashed and shut down and will not turn on or show that it is chraging, however when I put my gaming headset in the laptop they still light up. I just got this laptop 2 months ago and is under warranty, should I try to get a replacement?
The webcam resolution is stuck at 640x360. The Windows Camera app does not show any other available resolutions. What do I need to do to increase the resolution to the 720p that is promised by the specification here?

I have a Pavilion dv7-4285dx and I upgraded the OS to Windows 10.
after it, I can't use my HDMI output and some programs doesn't run. As an example, the architecture program Sketchup 2017 doesn't run and says
"The following errors were found when launching SketchUp:
- Your "Intel(R) HD Graphics" graphics card's OpenGL version is 2.1. SketchUp requires a graphics card that supports OpenGL 3.0 or better.
Unfortunately, these errors will prevent SketchUp from running. Updating your graphics card drivers might fix the problem."
But if I go to device Manager and try to update the driver, there's no updates available. HP website doesn't have any support page to my product, but it did exist. Seems like my offboard graphic card ATI Radeon HD 6370 is not working.
Can somebody help me?

My built in webcam is not showing up under the device manager and I cannot see any camera blocking issues with McAfee. I have no idea what happen since i did not remove the software. tried to restore the system back to when i last used it, but that bore nothing.

Although I just purchased this computer, it obviously is an old model. I only figured this out when I tried to play a Blu-ray (this is 2018), and it wouldn't load. That's because it is only equipped with a SuperMulti DVD burner.
What do I have to do to replace it with a Blu-Ray burner?

Hey, it's me again, the guy stupidly trying to install Windows 7 on a machine for which HP only offers Windows 10 drivers. When last we left our hero, he had gotten rid of all the yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager. Good news, but now the brightness function keys on the laptop are nonfunctional (predictably). No settings in display options or the control panel can change this setting. I think this is because Windows is using a "Generic PnP" monitor driver which technically works but provides no display options. (The usual locations one would find brightness controls on Windows 7 (such as "power options") are similarly devoid of settings. Am I correct that the Generic PnP monitor driver is to blame?
I just purchased this computer over the holidays and the computer is ok, but the screen color is washed out. Brightness adjustment did not help nor did the calibrate display function. Any help would be welcomed as I had planned to use this computer to edit and process photos.

I recentedly purchased this laptop, and need some help with an FPS dropping issue.
While gaming (DOTA 2, Dark Souls 3), my frames suddenly drop from the usual 80fps to 10 to 12 fps, and return to normal after a couple of seconds. After looking at the task manager, I saw that my GPU usage was spiking to 100% when this occurred. Regardless of the changes I do in the nvidia control panel, as well as running my games on low settings, my fps still drops randomly. Both DOTA 2 and Dark Souls 3 ran without issues on my previous laptop, which had a worse graphics card, as well as less RAM.
Furthermore, using CPUID HWmoniter, I was able to track the temperature of my graphics card. As soon as it reaches 60 degrees, GPU usage spikes, resulting in the frame drop, and once frames return to normal, GPU usage as well as temperature drops. So to me, it seems that there is something preventing my graphics card from going past 60 degrees celsius, causing the fps drops.
Is this an intentional feature? If it is, is there anyway for me to disable it, given that graphics cards are usually fine at much higher temperatures?

I have a fairly new 25er screen (couple of months) and it is plugged into a similar aged spectre 13 notebook. I have been finding, from fairly soon after I bought them, that the 25er screen just goes completely black for a few seconds, maybe 5 or so, before returning to displaying the previous contents of the screen. My laptop is next to it and so I can see that the display on the laptop is still working fine and nothing changed there. It seems to be just the 25er screen. Any suggestions what might be causing this and how to rectify it please?

I searched the web and also the HP website for the compatibility of my PC with the HP pens.
Seems that the HP Pen (Microsoft) (1CP24AV / Y0C43AV) is compatible with My PC, however it seems also that it may be compatible also the HP Tilt Pen (Microsoft) (1SC98AV / 1TD47AV) with a generic "*".
Please, if possible, avoid a "political" answer saying that the compatibility is shown at the link ... ... I already checked it, in my opinion the information are not so clear (or at least, the only thing clear is that the HP Pen must work).
