HP Spectre x360 Webcam

Webcam not working with skype anymore, nor will my facial recognition work on windows hello to log on. Had this problem yesterday and updated everything, completely uninstalled and reinstalled skype, and shut off and reset windows hello. The problem went away and lasted maybe 12 hours till this morning. The IR lights dont even come on during windows hello, just says "looking for you." Also skype sasy another app is using webcam but task manager is completely empty. I provided all details I could thinkof because I read through previous forums yesterday.

HI,

     I am having an issue with HP 15-f211wm Display screen. I need to change it. I couldn't find the same screen for this Laptop. Can anyone tell me which are the compatible display models suit with this screen?

The notebook is approx 8 months old, and during this time whenever at work, I have it connected to a large ACER monitor via an HDMI Lead.

 

This morning all was working fine as usual, I left my desk for 10mins but when I returned I had the message on the second screen "Input Not Supported"

 

The Notebook screen was still working OK - this is setup to act as the secondary screen, & the large screen as the master.

 

If the HDMI lead is unplugged the notebook screen reverts to the master as it should.

When the lead is re-connected the note book screen again shows the secondary info, but the large screen gives the error.

 

 

It is NOT the Screen or Lead as they work fine if I plug in a different notebook.

 

When I take the notebook to an identical Acer screen then I get the same error - so this issue is with the notebook.

 

I have checked the drivers - neither have been updated recently - tried roll backs - Re-boots etc.

 

 

Minor issue I have for checking monitor is that the large screen is setup to be the primary display, so I can not check any of the display settings whilst this is plugged in, as the notebook screen reverts to the secondary, so I know can not see the Adater setting window, as it is now shown on the primary display, which is only showing the error message.

and you dont have any multiple screen options available without the second screen attached.....

Screen brightness change fn keys not working (OMEN by HP - 15-ce009ur)

Hi,

The keyboard keys fn+f1 and fn+f2 do not work for changing the brightness under Windows 10 Enterprise. Other fn keys, like for changing the volume - works good. 

 

I already found advice for the simillar request, but it's not aplicable to my situation. Anyway I updated BIOS using firmware from official product web-page. I also tried to find some userfull update via HP SoftPaq Download Manager, but there is no such model as HP OMEN 15 ce009ur and such OS variant as Windows 10 Enterprise.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

HID-compliant touch screen missing

Where can I find, reset or install the touch screen driver called the  HID-compliant touch screen? I've been searching and looking all around and have only found temporary fixes.  Trying the hardware and device troubleshooting does nothing. When I search up PC info it says  "No pen or touch imput is available". My Touch screen capabilities constanty fade in and out at seemingly random times a few minutes after booting up my laptop.

As you can see from the image I added there simply is no HID compliance anything, and I know that it's meant to be somewhere on my computer as someone I know has anoher computer idenitical to my computer, and they have everything that should be there, actually there.

 

Is there anywhere I can find these drivers or reset my computer to a point where I had them without losing everything on my PC preferably?

USB-C to HDMI via hub

I am trying to get video to display on an external monitor from the USB-C port on my notebook. I am connecting via a generic USB-C hub to an HDMI input on my monitor. No luck Smiley Sad

 

Confirmed that hub does work by plugging into android phone with USB-C. Video immediately appears on monitor. All other peripherials work via hub.

 

From notebook specs: "1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer up to 5 Gb/s, DP1.4, HP Sleep and Charge); 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (1 HP Sleep and Charge); 1 HDMI v2.0b; 1 headphone/microphone combo"

 

Fixes tried:

 

Various HDMI cables (current gen)

Various USB-C cables (current gen)

Various monitor inputs

Update all drivers both via Windows update and through HP support website

Update BIOS

Checked for area within BIOS to enable DP1.4 (couldn't find anything)

Disable HUB drivers then reenable (after various actions- restart, hard restart, both with and without hub attached)

Uninstall HUB drivers then allow automatic reinstall (after various actions- restart, hard restart, both with and without hub attached)

Fiddled with every Windows and AMD display setting I could find Smiley Happy

Did support chat with HP and after 30-45 minutes was told I needed to call HP Smart Friend service and pay a fee for additional support. Called Smart Friend and asked why a fee for new notebook support and was told becasue it was a "software issue." I asked how they knew and they couldn't say. Did not continue.

 

Hub seems to be recognized when attached under "Devices and Printers" Both USB 2.0 Billboard and USB 3.0 Hub appear and are illuminated.

 

Only sign that something is not working [other than video not working Smiley Wink ] is the following under the "Events" tab from the device manager:

 

Device USB\VID_2109&PID_0210\6&1956eb22&1&5 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.

HP Envy x360 - 15m-bp112dx active pen

Just bought the HP Envy x360 - 15m-bp112dx and am trying to find an active pen that works properly with Windows Ink. The two that I have tried so far will sync with the bluetooth and the active buttons will pull up the assigned app, but the pen is not recognized by the screen and when I try to install the appropriate drivers, I get an error message that reads "A supported tablet is not recognized". When I look for active pens that are compatible, all of the descriptions include HP Envy x360 - 15-bp000 but no HP Envy x360 - 15m-bp112dx (none of them have the M listed). Any suggestions on how to find out what will work correctly?


Screen is all horizontal lines after updates were pushed to my machine.

When  first purchased my machine, anytime the machine would go into hibernate mode the screen would then display all horizontal lines.  I called support and they fixed it.  The machine ran updates and rebooted and now it's happening it again.  PLEASE HELP!!! The only way to fix it is to hard boot the machine!

Hey,
I recently bought a new laptop (about 4 days ago), since I bought I have a problem with FPS, because the laptop should be able to handle LOL. When I start the game, it runs on 120 FPS, then 3-15 FPS and then it will jump again after good revs, and then again a drastic decline and I do not know if it is a defect in the time of service or equipment.

Touch screen issue

I just installed Windows 10 and after letting windows update install all the drivers and restarting the pc I was trying to use the touch screen of the notebook witch is a feature of this notebook and it didn't work after that I was trying to find the driver but there's not someting like a touch screen driver for this pc   

ZBook G3 Workstation does not wake up properly

My ZBook 17.3" G3 mobile workstation does not wakup normally. Once the system goes into sleep mode, it will not wake up normally by pressing any key.  

 

The only way to wake up the system is restart the system.

 

Windows 10 (64-bits)

Memory: 16GB

Disk: 512GB SSD and 1 TB HD.

 

Does anyone have same issue?

Any fix?

HDMI PORT NOT WORKING

My HMDI port isn't working, and it worked in the past. It never worked that great, but i bought a new hdmi cable hoping that resolve the issue, but it did not. The hdmi cables worked on my xbox one, but when i plug them into my computer the screen flickers to black the whole time like it recognizes that something is there, and it doesn't show anything on my tv. I have not damaged the port as far as I know, and I looked at it. It does not appear to be damaged, but for whatever reason it isn't working.

Screen Display Dark Shadow ..

I see a dark shadow at the right corner of my screen display?.

Is it a hardware problem or my notebook needs a repair or a change of  its screen.? 

( Please note that my pc is running very well with no problem and no damages 

and I get the same dark shadow of display even if I connect it to other monitor or a TV..)

HP Notebook 17-x116dx and an Acer k272HL. Monitor works fine with another laptop and same HDMI cable, so it must be the HP.

Have tried everything, including resetting the PC back to factory settings to no avail....any help?

I have had my laptop for about 14 months, and about one month after the warrenty expired, it started acting up. Whenever my laptop in sitting normal, the volume "display" (the display in the top left corner of the screen that tells you your volume when you change it) is always there instead of fading away, and is always at 100. I know the actual speakers are fine because when I hold the volume down button, I can hear the volume lowering, however when I let go, the volume goes all the way back up by itself. Now, when I convert the laptop over to tablet mode, I get the opposite problem. insteead of being at 100, the volume is at 0. My laptop will also not let me switch windows using the taskbar. Lately I have been having problems with microsoft word. It seems to be getting worse and worst as time goes by and I have a nice laptop. Is there anything I can do? Please help.

Bubbles in touch screen (8 months old)

Having issues with my ENVY. Purchased 8 months ago and I noticed a few weeks ago that there were bubbles in my screen. It is now capturing my courser and not allowing me to move it or click on any other items on my desktop. Is this a software issue and shoud it be under warranty. It was purchased at Best Buy.

dv7-2180us is stuck in a low resolution display

My laptop has recently reverted to a lower resolution than normal and the options for higher resolution are no longer available.  The highest resolution that it will permit me is 1152x864, but it is recommending that I use 1024x768.  The only other choice is 800x600.  It's been a while, but I think this was originally 1920x1200 or something similar.

 

It is using a "Microsoft Basic Display Driver" which under Events is reporting:

Under "Monitor Settings", the only choice for Screen refresh rate is 64 Hertz.

 

This seems to me to be a software configuration issue, but apart from updates that occur automatically, I don't know of anything that was recently installed that could have been to blame.

 

The device manager reports that it uses the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 which has a driver version 22.19.128.0 updated 2017/07/25.

 

The device adapter reports that I'm using a Generic PnP Monitor and claims that it is operating properly.  Under events, it also reports this having a migrated device event: DISPLAY\LGD01DD\1&8713bca&0&UID0.  Whatever that means.

 

 

Touchscreen glitching on HP Spectre Notebook

Help, My touchscreen is glitching. It is intermittent when I am using it but always seems to happen if the machine is left for a few minutes. What happens is a small square starts flashing in the bottom left hand side of the screen ( almost like someone is continuously touching it - when they aren't - stopping me fron doing The only way to resolve it everytime it happens is to turn the machine's power off and then back on again.

 

Is the machine faulty ?

I can't find anything on the HP Support Assistant that helps in anyway and there doesn't seem to be any online help or phone number I can call to get any advice
