New laptop's battery life not last long
Hi,
Good day. I just bought a new HP laptop 3 days ago, model is HP Envy 13-AD100TX.
From the official HP website, this model's battery can up to 14 hours.
However I tested it yesterday, I just normal use, no gaming, no photoshop, no movie, no heavy use at all, only use for surfing web and do some document, but it only last for 4 hours.
The power mode I select is default (balance mode). So I am not sure is battery have issue or anything caused this?

Screen freeze!
I dropped my laptop a week ago and ever since, it hasn’t worked. I can turn it on and enter my passcode and it unlocks and everything loads normally, but then after a minute it will freeze completely. The cursor freezes and I can’t use touchscreen either. This happens everytime I try to turn it on. Please help me ![Smiley Sad]( "Smiley Sad")
I tried to do a factory reset by clicking F11 while it turned on but it didn’t work, it just sent me to the passcode screen.

Dual sceen issue with Docking VGA and HDMI port on laptop
Hello when connection a VGA monitor though the docking while having anoter monitor on the HDMI port of my laptop I cannot drive both at the same time.
Anyone has a solution please

Screen not displaying when connecting to TV screen with HDMI cable. Works ok for colleagues
I previously was connecting to screens before - wondering if an update has impacted, but now I can't connect to TV screens with HDMI cable. Colleagues can connect ok )they have different laptops). I use a docking station port replicator and I can connect to a screen that way on my desktop

HP Envy 6 - Webcam suddenly stopped working
Why is it that whenever someone posts that they need a specific driver, the hp expert never gives a direct link to it?
I need the truevision driver so that my imaging device stops auto-installing a camera driver.
No, reinstalling Cyberlink doesn't work. No, the firmware isn't the problem. No, HP Assistant isn't fixing this.

Where's the direct link for the driver I need? That's what I need.

Pixelated Screen
Having issues with the screen becoming partially pixelated and mouse won't respond in those areas. Does not occur all the time but when it does, it's such a pain! Was told it was not the video card because an external monitor was hooked up and it did not occur. Was told to obtain a new screen. I don't trust the source as they did not accomplish the fix I had taken the laptop to them for. Anyone have this kind of problem and how did you resolve it.

i can't find imaging device in my device manager,recently my cam stopped working..
i did search for ways in google but it seems it doesn't work at all..what i did was just follows the steps in videos and site on how to fix ,but it seems it doesn't work at all. i have windows 8 hp Stream

Niedawno kupiłem nowy laptop (około 4 dni temu), a od kupiłem mam problem z FPS, ponieważ laptop powinien być w stanie obsłużyć LOL. Kiedy zaczynam grę działa na 120 FPS, a następnie 3-15 FPS a potem znów będzie skakał po dobrych obrotach, a chwilę później znowu drastyczny spadek i nie wiem, czy jest to defekt systemów czy wyposażenia.

Windows Are Getting Cut Off Halfway
My programs on my screen are getting cut off halfway down the screen. I'm not getting an error message and all my settings are at the recommended options, so I don't know what is causing this.
EDIT: It turns out this phenomena only happens when scaling is set to 150%, which is the default.
Here's a couple examples of what I'm seeing, any ideas to fix this are welcomed.

X5P15AV lost it's Synaptics touch pad driver after creators update
After installing the fall creators update, I noticed that the synaptics driver is missing from the sys tray.
I was using this driver to toggle the touch pad on and off when I was typing for long stretches, and now it's gone.
The HP Support Assistant insists I am 100% up to date.
Do I reinstall the driver from August found here on the HP site? Is that even compatible with the Creators update? It doesn't say.
Side note/rant: And by the way, it still sucks that you can't get an official HP power adapter for this laptop here in the united states that works, and the crappy travel port relicator broke after a few months because of the lousy flat cable design, as expected.

Screen does not turn on after hibernate
I've had this issue for the last three weeks or so. Usually when I'm done with my laptop, I'll shut the lid and let it go to sleep, but lately when I open the lid to use it again, no matter the length of time, the computer wakes, but the screen stays black and does not turn on.
Last week I did a full refresh of the computer, and it was fine for a few days, but now I'm having this issue again, but only when the Computer goes to hibernate. If it is just closed and sleeping for a little bit, it turns back on with no problem.
Has anyone else had this issue, or know of any solutions floating around?
