Hi All,

 

Gaming for the last 4 / 5 months on my Omen laptop has worked a dream, games such as For Honor & Battlefield 1 have been smooth on high and ultra and I've had no complaints.

 

However, around a week ago after simply turning the laptop off and back on again at a later date, I'm scoring aruond 5 fps on every game played. Any reason why this could be?

 

I've updated and rolled back graphics drivers, flashed the BIOS, even restored the system back to it's factory default but I still have the same issues.

 

CPU score is 1235 and graphics score is on 870.

 

It's a 6gb GTX1060, i7 7700HQ - surely should be seeing better results then this? Graphics test 1 5.59 FPS test 2 5.05FPS and CPU test 4.15FPS on 3dmark 5.0.609.0.

 

Any suggestions?

I am trying to connect an HP x360 11.6" Convertible Laptop to an HP 24i monitor using HDMI (PC) to DVI (Monitor),

PC is unable to detect my monitor.  I have also tried unsuccessfully to connect HDMI to the Display Port on the monitor.

 

Can anyone advise if connection from this PC to an external monitor is possible or do I need to return this PC and by another brand like Acer ?

My system has an intel and AMD GPU switchable driver. The HP driver which has been working years for me has suddenly ceased to work .I have had to resort to using driver for Intel for the HD3000 graphic card which I downloaded from intel website.

I would appreciate it if someone would guide me on the appropriate drives for my laptop perhaps the drivers I downloaded is outdated.

Installation of the HP graphic driver is always failing during installation and when it succeeds, not all the drivers is installed and windows will not boot past the windows logo when restarting the laptop.

After update to windows 10 creators updated my laptop screen go's black. The driver for my display card 7400 M series is not working with windows creator update. It works with earlier verson of windows 10 pro. Need Help.

Hi,

 

i have hp spectre x360 laptop. its very nice lightweight laptop according to my needs. 

 

it works greate, but i would like to make it perfact, for that i would like to change some gesture settings.

 

I would like to change four finger multi virtual desktop swap to three finger, i read many posts but can not find proper answer.

 

first of all just want to know is it possible or not? if its possible then how can i do it.

 

Your response would be appreciate.

Hello,

 

The past few days, whenever I've signed into my laptop using Windows Hello facial recognition, the camera will stay active (two red lights blinking, white light on) for a minute or two after sign-on. Twice it's turned on with no prompting (i.e. randomly while using the computer). While the lights are on, I am unable to use the camera on any other applications because it says its in use elsewhere.  I've updated and reinstalled all camera drivers and all updates through HP Support Assistant.

 

What should my next steps be?

The text that I am typing is adding additional letters!  It is not happening to every letter.  But the same letters, sometimes before it or after it.  Like this:

 

t - bt

= - =[

y - ny

b - bt

n -ny

 

Also

Tab key - caps lock

 

strange how it is the exact same letters.

I have a HP laptop with a big black spot in the middle of the touchscreen display with black lines going out of it. Is this a failure of the LCD screen? Or the entire display?

After a long time I decided to use my laptop because I started university. Yesterday I turned it on and put it on charge and everything was fine until after I typed in my password.
The screen just turned blank and is not responding at all.
I tried to do hard reset, pressing esc',f11 etc.
I attached it to my tv through hdmi and it works fine. I tried to install the latest drivers but nothing seems to work.
Please help as I need to use it asap

I have had this laptop for 2 years and it has been doing this for a while. I load a game and like 30 seconds in the screen turns black. I can ctrl,alt,delete and the game is not running in the task manager. It also randomly turns black when im online. It has gotten slower logging into my laptop over time as well.

Recently, my genuine HP battery shows the message "plugged in but not charging".

I have followed a lot of the suggestions on this topic but nothing changed.

Battery test showed "replace"

 

I have bought 2 replacement batteries (one at a time - thinking first one was faulty) and have an interesting scenario I'm hoping to get help on.

 

In a nutshell:

 

Install new battery, run test on it and tests ok.

Charging

Boots ok after installing new battery (1st time).

Shut down and reboot

Computer starts but screen does not light up.

Force shut down

Remove power lead,

Remove battery

Replace power lead and battery

Reboot

Now screen works

Shut down and reboot, same problem.

 

Install old battery and screen works everytime but it has no charge and computer shuts down immediately if power is pulled.

 

Just a bit of further info if it matters, these are non-genuine batteries and they both did the same thing.

My keyboard and mouse just randomly stopped working and can not figure out how to get it to work. I ran troubleshooting on it and it says that nothing on it needs to be updated or worked on just want to know what I can do to fix the problem with my keyboard and mouse.

Recently my Spectre X360 developed a "dead zone" that won't read input from my stylus.  There's about a 1/2 inch tall strip that runs the whole width of the screen about 3 inches below the top bezel.  I contacted support and they updated the BIOS as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the pen and touchscreen, but this did not help.  Attached is a picture of what the issue looks like.
