When enabling the touch scren the screen of the pc starts flickering
My pc started flickering when using internet explorer and showing some gray circles in the left and right corners. Some times you could see a pointer inside the circles. The flickering and trembling of the screen is not permanent, it comes and goes.
I've tried a lot of solutions on the web but non seem to work. I did hoewever determined that when I disable the touch screen in the Device Manager application, the problem goes away.
Is there a solution or I just lost my touch screen capabilities?

AMD Radeon HD 8650G driver keeps changing/updating
I've been having a difficult time keeping a fully functional driver in place for my AMD Radeon HD 8650G... The notebook is several years old and was originally configured with Win' 8 but, I upgraded to Win' 10 when it was offered by Microsoft. The problem is the driver keeps updating on it's own away from my preferred driver (15.2000.1055.0 dated 07.06.2015)
This is the only one which allows for manual adjustment of screen brightness for individual power schemes. I even tried downloading & installing the latest driver package directly from AMD's website to no avail, the slider at the bottom of the power options page as well as the individual sliders for battery& AC power schemes goes away & the only way that I can get them back is to do a manual driver update and then select the 15.2000.1055.0 driver from the list.
This works well for a few days and then without notice, when I start the system, I will see that the screen is once again operating at full brightness & I can no longer adjust the brightness down using the slider. I even invoked the device installation setting which specifies that drivers are not to be automatically updated, but that doesn't seem to have any affect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated... Steve

No HDMI port on spectre ac052na???
Hi All
I have no HDMI Port on my notebook, never tried to plug into it before, seems weird for a video/audio notebook i dont have one.
When I Google my model number it shows as having one. All I have is the USB 3 on the left and 2 micro ports on the right. Is this correct.
If so can I still hook the notebook up to the Tv and if yes, how?

Graphics Card Upgrade
- I have the following Notebook:
HP Pavillion dv6 Notebook PC, Intel Core Processor i3 CPU 64 bit. It came with Windows OS 7 but I upgraded to OS 10.
My question is that I want to see if I can upgrade my video card so I can use software like AutoCAD, Revit and Chief Architect. Right now, I can download the software but I can't use it because the message says I don't have the right video card. I don't particularly want to buy a new laptop so I am trying to see what my options are. And also, what solid core driver should I purchase to change on the same computer.
Below are the requirements that the software programs require in order to use them:
- 2.4 GHz processor or Multi-Core Processor.
- Video Card: Dedicated Video Card with 512 MB memory, or Integrated Graphics (driver needs to be 2012 or newer)
- 5 GB of available hard disk space.
- Recommended: 8GB of Memory (64-bit), 50GB of available hard disk space, 2GB or 4GB gaming.

HP Pavilion 15 Gamer Laptop half of screen is slightly dim.
about 2/3 of my screen is slightly dim (Left side). Sometimes horizontal lines flicker at the top of the dimmed area on my screen as well. This just started happening and my laptop is still under warranty. What should I do?

CONFUSING AMD GRAPHICS DISPLAY IN 8460P
This is my first attempt into HP forum's ..
Recently days i bought HP Elitebook 8460p from the nearest computer shop.. once i bought i open dxdiag and what is saw is Graphics installed in laptop is 'AMD HD 7400m' after some days passing and i installed win 7 ultimate 64bit when i install drivers through autodriver it tells me 'AMD HD 6490m' installed, then i found HP site and download AMD CONTROL DRIVER sp64287 and its install CATALAYST after recheck through GPU-Z OR DXDIAG it tells me 'AMD HD 6470M' .... so what is right?
MY PROBLEM IS I CAN'T GETTING THE RIGHT DRIVER OR ABOUT MY GPU. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THE ANSWER..

HP Download Server is too slow
I have the exact same issue too but with a different driver download however, I've just tried that link and downloaded the entire file within a few seconds. It is definitely an HP server problem because, as we speak, the download speed just jumped from 300 KB/s to 2.1 MB! and I've just looked and it went down again to 52 KB/s

Possible heat damaged i5-2520 in an HP Elitebook 8460P
I let an HP Elitebook 8460P basically run non-stop as a desktop for about a year & a half. Sometimes I used it as a rendering machine so I know that makes the CPU and GPU get hot although I never got a single shutoff of the computer by the CPU or motherboard because of excessive heat. It has an Intel i5-2520 CPU and uses the integrated GPU with no discrete GPU at all.
Recently I bought a used HP Elitebook 8470P and I turned off the HP 8460P for a few days. Now when I turn it on the fan, indicator lights, and DVD run for about 4 seconds with no video and the computer cuts back off. It isn't a battery or power supply problem. I think that when the computer cooled completely down a solder somewhere broke and now the computer doesn't work, but I'm not sure that is what has happened.
The computer is otherwise in good shape. What can I do to fix it outside of this 'reflow' solution I read of? Will replacing the CPU likely fix it? I think an old i5-2520 probably could be bought cheap on eBay but I don't want to waste money on it if that's not going to fix it.
I guess I will start scheduling overnight shutdowns for my replacement HP 8470P laptop to avoid the same problem recurring.

Connect to HDMI monitor with USB Type C
I bought my new HP ENVY 13 laptop last week and wanted to connect it to my monitor - the HP Pavilion 22xi.
I bought a USB Type C to HDMI adapter and used this to connect an HDMI cable from my laptop to the computer.
However, nothing happened, repeatedly - tried restarting the computer and turning off the monitor, unplugging, trying a different USB C port and trying to detect a display but nothing worked.
I used the adapter with my macbook's USB C port and it worked perfectly.
So what's the issue with my laptop that it can't connect to my HDMI monitor? This feels like a pretty basic thing.

hp laptop core i3 touch screen 15.6 won't exit sleep mode issue
So I'm having an issue with my laptop and for some reason if I close my laptop it won't respond dispite that the lights are still on, and if I have it in sleep mode then it won't respsond to that either. And I would like help to reslove this issue.

Alps touchpad not working after login to Windows 10
I've a problem with the touchpad.
It doesn't work after login to Windows 10 (64 bit), before login the touchpad works.
The issue concern about the driver Alps HID Mouse Driver
I've this problem only after installation of the Alps driver, if remove it the pointer go well (without the driver options obviouslly)
I've tried these two driver versions:

but the problem is the same.
Any of you af some suggestions?
