Rotation Lock greyed out
My Rotation Lock is greyed out, when i turn on Tablet Mode, my keyboard is still responsive and it does not auto rotate when i flip my laptop. The last time it was working fine was when i purchased it about a year back and hadnt used it for some time until now.
I have updated both my software and hardware, and also had performed a troubleshoot. Restarted my laptop multiple times
I have tried turning to tent mode and portrait mode, the Rotation Lock in the Action Center is still greyed out. Under Settings->System->Display, the rotation lock option is also greyed out.
I have also tried changing the Last Orientation registry value, uninstalling and updating display driver, disable and re-enable sensors, it doesnt fix anything.
I have tried using Safe mode after disabling some programs and when i click on the Action Centre, i get an error.
I have gone through several forums, most are fixed using the methods that i have tried. What am i doing wrong?

F2 icon that makes my screen dull
What is this key for? It makes my screen a dull, whitish color and also appears to flash extremely rapidly. I can't find it in HP's list of function keys or figure out what the purpose of the setting is.

HP Notebook - 17-bs061st right side screen hinge popping and pulling away from screen?
I am a very loyal HP customer. I can't believe that my NEW to me laptop/Notebook just 1yr 4 months old is having hinge issues??? I would expect it to last longer than this? It was cared for gently. Even though I did not pay thousands of dollars it's a big expense to me. Why can't HP design a hinge that lasts it's ridiculous. My sons laptop had the SAME issue years ago and had to pay someone to fix it. I would have thought that this issue would have been remedied by now but maybe that is HP's way of getting customers to purchase new more often. I also saw this same issue on another post that has been closed (here)

Sleep Mode requires a REBOOT
When the laptop goes into 'sleep mode', it requires us to Shut Down and Restart to activate the screen again!
I have had to set ALL control settings to NEVER (go into sleep mode).. This is Not Ideal.

HP Spectre 15.6'
Hi,
My hp Spectre laptop is having a screen issue. It gets horizontal blurry lines randomly which make it hard to use. It has gotten worse over 3 months. Now I can't use it out of the house where I can connect to a second screen with HDMI.
Here are some things I've noticed:
- Plugging it in to a power source helps
- Moving the screen physically doesn't have an effect, but moving the mouse does. (Makes me think it is a graphic card rather than wiring.)
- I cannot capture it on a screenshot. Even if it clearly displayed the symptom while the screenshot was taken.
I'm out of warranty and wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Perhaps there is a not too expensive fix. It feels like my transmission blew out at 40,000 miles just out of warranty.

Zooming in and out
Hello, I have a hp notebook pavilion with windows 10. It has the touch screen and the darn thing keeps zooming in and out without me touching anything. When I am working on one browser and then switch to a second one to compair it to make sure I'm doing my page right It zooms really small and I have to use the zoom to back it out to read it and then when I go back to the the other browser it is so large that even one word won't fit on the page and I have to use the zoom and go out with it to get it small enough to read. Even while I am typing it will change on me.
It also just started on the right side some small circles will show up spinning but they are really light in color to see and I can't do anything till I tap the screen and then it goes away but it will do it again a few minutes later. Some days it doesn't do it at all.
Both these things are new within the last few weeks.
I ran my antivirus and nothing there so that's good but can't figure out why these two things are happening.
Would love some help.

Screen flickering and blank
My laptop screen is flickering and ultimately goes blank. It shows vertical bars, usually black and white. The bars are spaced only millimitres apart. After a hard reset the screen works again, but the screen will start flickering and go blank on a several times a day basis.

Black Horizontal Screen in the laptop - Keeps Spreading

My laptop have got several black lines horizontally and this line keeps growing day by day. Is there any ways to get this fixed? Or screen replacement is the only solution?

My laptop screen randomly goes black when I play a game for a few hour. When it goes black it like a screen turn off that has no back light, but laptop still running, I can talk with my friend with Discord when screen goes black.

Mousepad is working very, very weird and I just bought it
This thread is meant more as a complaint to HP
Well, here I am just bought this 2,000 euros HP spectre laptop - the top of the line. I tried to register to the homepage, but it seems it only wants me to register printers, not laptops. I write "Spectre" in the "search product" field but I get "0" results.
I could go around that by having it detect automatically my product.
The Mousepad works very weird. I just want to move the cursor around while I browse my emails but it just tries to move around my libraries instead. Sometimes it doesn´t want to scroll up or down, it acts very weird. Maide in China ….
I am quite disappointed that it only has 1 USB jack entrance, since I usually use an USB stick and a mouse...here I have to choose, take out the mouse, put in the USB stick and then have the mousepad doing a mess cause it doesn´t work properly. I have the impression that it´s more of a production problem, then me getting unlucky. I think if I got a new one it would be the same, and I use it for work so I can´t have it 1 month on repair, expecially because it´s new.
Last, it´s made in China. I noticed by looking at the S/N. I´d like to buy from a brand that produces in Europe/US next, just a hint to HP to move away from there.
I hope I didn´t post an inappropriate thread, if it is, I apologize.

HP Pavilion GTX 960 vga turns off (p0 mode) when charger is disconnected
So im playing a game, then the charger disconnects for a brief second, and the whole game glitches and lags, did some searching turns out my vga is going from p5 to p0 when the charger disconnects, any way i can keep it at p5

Cant figure out what pens are compatible with my laptop

Quite simple problem but i cant figure out the solution . i bought a cheaper hp pen from ebay some time ago but it dosnt work , so i want to figure out what pebs are compatible with my model : HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cn1xxx
The laptop isnt anywhere on the list of compatible devices but its new and it has touch screen so i figure it should support some pens

HP Pen not working properly when laptop is plugged in and charging
I just got a spectre x360 13" gemcut and when it's not charging the pen works great. No skipping , great tracking , good pressure levels. But when it's Charging the pen is skipping and the mouse pointer doesn't track the pen when hovering.
Is the product defective ?
