HP G62 - ATI Drivers Problem

Hi,

All the HPs with switchable graphics that have a 5 series ATI don't work properly. None of HP's drivers or ATI/AMD drivers work... Two situations may occur:

-Graphics won't switch card, computer runs on Intel, sometimes with wrong resolution.

-Your computer may just turn into a blue screen displayer Smiley Happy

Did someone find a solution?? I have two computers at home with this issue, and I know of a bunch more out there... In my personal computer I installed windows 10 (official copy if you're wondering) and the automatic updates just screw the computer completely because the driver given to this machine (and all G62 with 5 serie ATI) is no good!

Screen is split by horizontal black line. Remainder of screen is gray. I tried the fn+b keys which worked momentarily. Then screen flickered and went back to split/gray view. Is there an inexpensive fix or troubleshooting that can be done?

esteemed sir,

when i press right click (say to refresh, sort by, new etc) it takes around 5 seconds to popup the window. But when i disable the intel(R) hd graphics 5500 driver then it works fine(i.e pop up occurs within no time). what is the issue ? i updated the driver but no improvement

Hello,

I had this issue in my previous OS (windows 8.1). My cursor randomly freezes. It'll recover after sometime. But it's really annoying. I can operate well using my keyboard while the cursor freeze.

I recently bought HP Probook 440 G4. I already have licence of windows 8.1 so I didnt bothered buying new one. When I searched for drivers I found drivers of only Windows 10 64bit and specially DISPLAY driver does not match.

I have a Spectre notebook, in order to make it easier to work from home, I added an HP ENVY 24 monitor, connected via HDMI. Initially I neglected to download and install the correct drivers, the computer kept crashing and after exhausting all diagnostic options looking for the reason, I finally realised that it NEVER crashed when it wasn't connected to the monitor. After a few short, replicable, tests, I confirmed that the monitor was indeed causing the crash - and still is, but I can't understand why.

I've checked the monitor driver, the latest one is installed - it's definitely the correct driver for the monitor. I'm wondering now whether it's possible to update the HDMI drivers, or other graphics drivers that might rectify the problem. It's unbelievably frustrating to keep having to restart the computer every 15-20 minutes.

Any help or advice gratefully received.

The left hinge on my laptop has come apart and it's affecting the screen display. I have had my laptop for only 2/3 years and had no problems but it's frustrating it's happening now because I'm in the middle of exams. I have searched this thread and people have had similar problems. After a couple of seconds the screen starts turning white and I have to physically push down the left side to get any response. Is there any way this can be resolved?

Recently I noticed that i cannot adjust the brightness on my ENVY laptop. This is a main issue because having a bright screen in a dim lecture hall hurts the eyes. Also for some reason, once i plug in the power cord, the option to adjust the brightness happens. I've tried updating the drivers, and nothing has changed. I have also tried using a previous version of the drivers. Nothing has worked so far. Any help would be appreciated.

I am having lots of issues with the right button click zone on my Spectre x360. The default right button click zone is on the lower right corner of the touchpad and there is no way to move it to other corners of the touchpad. I'm right handed so most of my left clicks end up in the right button click zone, which is super annoying after a while. I checked all driver options and I couldn't find a way to shrink the size of the zone or completely disable it. I'm extremely surprized and frustrated at the lack of basic customization available for this essential user interface element. I'm running the latest available driver version 19.0.12.98 Rev.A. Please help!

I have an HP Stream that is having a screen problem. It boots to a white screen with a single line across the top. The LCD is not broken, and when I connect it via HDMI to the TV it shows up on the TV. I'm fairly certain it might be a ribbon of some sort, but this is the first time I've dealt with a netbook.

Any ideas? I can post an image if need be.

LCD cable got busted from my old notebook and now i need to find new one for it.
so does anyone know what is the exact part number that i should be looking for?

HELLO!.TELL ME YOU ALSO NOTICED THAT,WHEN IN CONTROL PANEL PROGRAMS, FIND THE SIZE OF THE DISPLAY DRIVER INTEL 3 MB. AND BEFORE IT WAS 74МБ.IN MICROSOFT SAID THAT PERHAPS IT WAS A DRIVER UPDATE,BUT THE UPDATES NEVER CAME.IT IS NOTICEABLE OFTEN,SOMETIMES VISIBLE AS CHANGED THE FORMAT ,INSTEAD OF 1920 LOOKS LIKE 1360.it is NOTICEABLE ON the toolbar ON the DESKTOP,IT BECOMES WIDER.I RE-INSTALLED THE WINDOWS 10 COMPLETELY SEVERAL TIMES ,THIS PROBLEM IS NOT GOING AWAY.I DECIDED TO CONTACT YOU.DRIVER INSTALLED FROM INTEL AND HP.

Hi everyone !

My HP TrueVision HD webcam stopped working suddenly when I tried to activate it during a Skype session.

Actually, when I start a videocall either on Facebook or on Skype the webcam light at the top of my laptop turns on, but the person I'm talking to can't see my video any longer.

The audio's working perfectly.

I've already downloaded Skype updates, but it didn't solve my problem.

The webcam just worked when I installed a program called ManyCam.

I do thank anyone who can really help me, please.

my screen is scrolling on it's own. Some times it will go weeks or months without doing it, then it goes crazy and just won't stop. I am a month past my warranty. I was having trouble well before that and did work with HP about it without it being resolved. I have restarted, restored and done the thing with removing the battery etc. I have gone to BIOS and the f9 to default. I don't want to do a complete restore cause I don't want to take a chance of losing stuff. I also don't see that it will help.
