I have an HP Pavilion 15 L3S53EA with 8GB of RAM, AMD APU A8-6410 2GHz CPU and AMD R7 M260 2GB GPU and also R5 Graphics integrated GPU.
But, in games and stuff, my laptop only uses the R5 one, and completely ignores the R7 M260.

I have only had this laptop for 5 days but I am seeing an issue. As it processes it blacks out enitre words and sections on the screen. It is as if it gets stuck and starts blacking things out. It has been this way since the day I started working with it, but it seems to be getting worse now that I am working with it more. Is it defective? SHould I return it?

I am using the HP advanced wireless dockingstation with an Elite X2 1012 G1. The highest resolution I seem to be able to display on an external monitor seems to be 2560x1440. Is that the maximum possible? I have a wide Monitor with 3440x1440 pixels. Using the thunderbolt 3 dock, the Elite X2 is able to drive that monitor but not with the wireless dock.
Best case I am trying to connect this 3440x1440 and an HD TV with 1920x1080 at the same time. Should that be possible?

I just bought a HP OMEN 17. I wanted to adjust the keyboard and fan but to my surprise no software was installed. I went to the HP support website and found a bios update and hp event software. I also found the software for the hp control. I updated the bios and installed the softeare. The FN esc key will not work{does not show bios and computer info) and the control panel does not work. Any help would be appriciated. I would hate to have take the computer back.

i have downloaded the drivers from official hp website.
the drivers do install but the games dont run on graphics card. i have to change the switch to low power mode to hd520 to work. otherwise i get the error...
in dxdiag graphic rendering also fail with AMD
it doesnot work... i dont know what to do i have tried all the stuff.
please help. is there a hardware issue? cuz drivers in device manager of r5m330 are null..

I have alot of the HP UltraSlim Docking Stations, pre the 2013 version. I was hoping to find a firmware upgrade for them. Currently I can find is the 2013 display port update. I need to have one for the older model of the docking station. The problem is similar to the 2013 docking stations and when using dual monitors the displays don't function properly. They turn off, flash etc. Has anybody found or now if any updates are available for the older model.

I just bought the HP Omen 17-w033dx today, and was surprised that the Omen Control software was not installed. After trying to download the HP System Event Utility, I cannot find the .exe that launches the Omen Control program.
I am able to use Fn + esc to see the system's specs, but I cannot find the Omen Control program. (I would use it to change my backlit color).
Is this possible on my model?

I spent about 40 minutes chatting with HP Support trying to reslove why the letter "p" would not work on my 2 month old laptop keypad. Went through the script with Dipendu. No fix. Then I Googled it. The solution was to use canned air to blow out dust. Works fine now.
I have an HP Spectre x360 Convertible with Product Number K8P19LA#ABM.
I want to use it as a drawing and sketching tool.
I have read several reviews from other x360 owners and decided that my best option was to buy a Dell Active Pen PN556W to use. Similar qualities as the HP Active Pen (which are not sold on my country) but with better reviews.
I have had no opportunity to use my pen, as it is not recognized in any way by the screen.
I have also installed the Anniversary edition of Windows 10 with better Pen Support and it still doesn't recognizes my pen.
My configuration is:
Windows 10 Pro
Pen and Touch Support with 10 Touch Points
i have tried restarting it in safe mode , safe mode with comand prompt and it tells me to run chkdsk/f but i can't get anything but the same blue screen everytime. I want to restore it back to original but don't know how. please help
I bought the notebook last December with 1-year warranty in the US.
Now I'm working in Vietnam and my screen is broken. but it isn't covered although I still have 4-month warranty (stated on the Hp support assistant). I have contacted the local support center and they refuse to cover this under warranty even though my notebook still has 4 months until the warranty period ends, unless I submit the original invoice (which I lost 2 months ago) after moving.
How can I solve this problem and guarantee my warranty rights?
