Before bios and OS upgrades the laptop would auto disable the main keyboard when rotated 360 deg for flat touch mode. It will no longer do this creating a problem when in touchpad mode. No settings seem to change this.

Spectre x360 cable for display
Hi. My cable going to the motherboard from the display got something corosive on it and it damaged the contacts on the cable but it looks as though the motherboard is ok after cleaning. (Tested with a similar display form ebay) Can anyone tell me where I can get a replacement cable. After talking to 5 different people in tech and parts Depts. at HP they can not come up with a replacement part. They claim the entire screen has to be replaced. I work on Cell phones and tablets so I was able to carefully remove the screen but now need a cable to finish the repair. Thanks... Dale

How Long Before It is Too Late To File A Complaint?
My warranty was up for my laptop in October of 2015 and I did not want to really complain especially now since it is months after the fact. Over the first year that I owned my laptop I learned that the trackpad was defective. No problem since I just had to send it in. I did and when I got it back I learned that nothing was done with it and so I had to send it back a second time. I got it back and just after my warranty expired the trackpad no longer worked and I have had to use an external computer mouse ever since. It has just been frustrating that I cannot use my touchpad and that my computer has never been truly fixed. I take very good care of my laptop and I know for a fact that the touchpad is still defective. Does anybody know of anywhere I could complain directly to the company or if I should not complain if it is too late after the warranty.

Spots on screen where the pointer sticks and jiggles
I have an HP laptop purchased in the last year. It has a touchscreen. Currently when I boot the computer there are a couple of gray circles on the screen. When I log in , a pointer appears in one of the gray circles and it vibrates. The touchscreen does not respond at all.
The touchpad mouse kind of works, some of the time. It feels like the computer is fighting between the pointer already vibrating on the screen and so the computer doesn't know if it should respond when I move the mouse via the touchpad, or just stay where it is. Sometimes, it doesn't respond at all.
I have tried rebooting, and using function keys to restore ujseability but nothing is working. Do you have any suggestions to offer?

1440X900 resolution not avaliable
I have a dell 2007fpb monitor that supports 1440x900, but when I go into display settings that resolution is not avaliable.
I wanted to test out that resolution before i bought a used 1440x900 monitor.
Is there any way I can get access to all resolutions supported by the display?

cannot get wireless mouse to work after i went from windows 8 to 10
after i uploaded windows 10 i could not get my wireless mouse to work so i changed the batteries still nothing, went out and bought a new wireless mouse plugged in the (what ever it is called) into the computer and still nothing. I am not a computer person i don't know terminology , please can someone help tell me what i might be doing wrong.

Flashing Circles and pages popping up
Recently Circles start flasing and web pages and documents start popping up one after the other fast and everything goes crazy on the screen. I cant stop it. Sometimes it runs for a while and stops. But will start just like that on and off.
I tried several suggestions found on the net, but without success. Tried to restore to a previous point and did several scans. Nothing woeks.

I have a 2.5 years old Sleekbook and the TouchScreen has stopped working. Problem is that there are no longer any HID drivers for the Touch screen in Device Manager (perhaps there never were ?)
All HP updates have been applied.
All Microsoft updates have been applied.
TouchScreen is not found so a hardware problem is indicated.
After trip to trusted local repair shop: "HP list this as a TouchSmart but it is a ProtectSmart inside and this screen part number is not a touch screen" - except that it has been for the last 2.5 years !
SO how do I get support as I am out of warranty?
Out of Warranty repair would seem to be the way to go but the web page just tells you what they do - no phone number or email ....
Any advice appreciated

HP ENVY m6 Notebook PC AMD/INTEL hybrid and turn it to NVIDIA/INTEL hybrid gpu
hello i was wondering if i could get rid this amd discrete gpu from my laptop and replace it with some nvidia card??? can it be done? i'm sick with AMD's crap... i believe that AMD will bankrupt any time soon because of low quality and crappy-non existent support!!

I have a Pavillion DV7-4153cl entertainment laptop and need replacement fan & heatsink assembly, but don't know if the memory type is discrete or uma.

840 G3 touch pad issue
Hello,
I am having an issue with the touch pad, every now and then the curser starts to move by itself or it starts clicking the left mouse button over and over again. Does this sound like a hardware failure or a software issue. The laptop does not have a touch screen and I have tried different versions of drivers with the same issue. The problem seems to come after running the computer for a number of hours at work and the only way to stop it is to hold your palm on the touch pad to make the palm detection kick in and use the joystick to disable the touch pad.

Why won't HP Elitebook/Ultrabook 9470m support multi-screen display?
Computer - HP Elitebook Folio 9470m
OS - Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit
Processor - Intel CORE i5-3427U CPU @ 1.80GHz 2.30 GHz
Display adapter- Intel HD Graphics 4000
Anybody know why this unit won't support dual/multi-screen display?
When the second, external monitor is connected by VGA to VGA, nothing happens on the Control Panel/Display/Change Resolution page. The drop-down box where mulit-screen display should be selectable offers only "1. Generic Non-PnP Monitor".....and nothing else.

Convertable Laptop Will Randomly Become Unable to Switch Between Tablet and PC Mode
Hi there,
I recieved my convertable Envy x360 under a month ago; it acted fine for the first two weeks, but roughly two weeks ago it began acting strangely.
When I first open it and sign in, I can rotate the screen around and successfully switch between tablet and pc mode. However, after a random amount of time--it can be anywhere from one to fifteen minutes--the computer gets "stuck" in whatever mode I currently have it in.
If in pc mode, the screen will not rotate and it will not flip back into tablet mode. Even if I manually activate tablet mode, it does not deactivate the keyboard, but will change the display to tablet mode. However, it will not allow me to rotate the screen. No "autorate" prompt will appear, either. It's as if it's just a regular pc.
If in tablet mode, the screen will rotate but will not return to pc mode. The touchpad and keyboard remain inactive, even if I manually turn off tablet mode.
The only way to fix it is to close the computer, let it fall asleep, then open it back up and sign in again. The computer's convertable capabilites will work again for a random amount of time, only to get stuck shortly after. It's very tiring.
Like I said, this started about two weeks ago. The problem began immediately after I used the HP Support Assistant to run updates. I attempted to go back and revert the updates, thinking this caused the issue, but could not find a way.
After researching, I updated the system BIOS, but still nothing.
If it helps, I use McAfee LiveSafe, and use a wireless internet connection.
I've tried researching the issue, but can't find any solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a touchsmart tm2, with windows 7 x64 and i could use a external monitor, with no problems.
when i upgrade to windows 10, the external monitor can´t be deteted.
i upgrade the amd driver and the intel driver, but it don´t work.
