Hello HP Support !

 Heres what i got !

Computer is newly re-installed  and when i try to install the drivers for AMD Radeon 6490M (From AMD's site) The AMD Catalyst instalaion prog tells me "Cant install because of incompatible hardware/Software on the computer"
Downloaded all the drivers u got listed there for my comp

In the device manager i can find both Intel (R) Family graphic card, and the Amd Radeon 6490 ! At first there where no warning signs in the device manager next to the cards.  Now they appeard .

I have no clue how to fix this problem. but something says me my graphic card isnt broken ?

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC running Windows 7.

Over the last few weeks my computer periodically freezes, then the screen goes black and then I get a message that the AMD display driver has crashed and successfully recovered. This has happened whenplaying a simple game and also when using a web browser.

Advice please on how to resolve this issue.

Problems after updating Radeon HD 6700m driver

$

After I upgraded the driver to the most current one, multiple programs ceased working. They're listed below.

Windows Desktop Gadgets

Steam Client Bootstrapper

MainNavigation in Magic Online

Windows Media Player

VLC Media Player

iTunes

Silverlight(in Chrome/Firefox only, seems to work fine in IE)

Various HP support programs, including the HP Support Assistant

However, when I switch to the Intel integrated graphics card, all of the above work perfectly. I believe that the graphics driver is the cause of this problem, but am entirely unsure how to fix this. I've tried the solutions posted here http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/Updating-Radeon-HD-6770m-driver-to-11-12-or-higher/td-p/1659399, as well as multiple other attempts to fix this, but with zero sucess. Can anyone help me?

HP Envy M6 1232sa, set graphics adapter through bios?

I'm trying to find out if there is a bios update that will let me pick the ati graphics card as default, instead of the stupidity of letting software juggle what to use and when along with the overheads involved.

I've only had this laptop for 4 days now, it took 2 days just to upgrade to 8.1 and get it working almost properly, it's driving me up the wall.

I'm **bleep** tempeted just to wipe ths OS and shove linux on (always entertaining with HP laptops), but the main thing is I want to control the graphics via the bios.

Thanks in advance.

Hello. Just have bought this monitor for exchange to my 24' one,and got some troubles in connection...
My properties of the noterbook: nvidia ge force 630M+intel hd graphins 4000.
Firstly I ve connected it to VGA cable and got only 2048/1152 from maximum of  2560x1440,after i tried HDMI one cable and got only 1920-1080... I have no other options and dunno what to do.. Both video adapters have avaibility to operate on this high quality(af far as i know),but it doesnt work...
And is it hurtful for my health particularly for my eyes to work on 2048\1152 on such a monitor?
Asking for your help,I ll be very happy for advices.
Thanks.

Dual Monitor Support for ProBook 4440S

Hello, I have an HP ProBook 4440S notebook running Windows 7 pro.   I also have two monitors - an HP1740 and an HP LA2405.  I'd like to set up dual monitors using the notebook.  Can the graphics card drive both monitors?  If so, I would have to use an HDMI cable with a male DVI-D connector to plug into the LA2405.  I would use the standard D-15 cable to connect the 1740.  If this works, would I be able to stretch the desktop to the 1740, or would they have to be split as two seperate screens?

Thanks

Hi guys! :)

My name is Han and I have a question... It's really complicated, but i'll try to make it as simple,as I can.

So... This day, windows 7 was truly over loaded and the blue screen of death showed up very often.

However,I reinstalled windows,but this time on win8.

Something went wrong again, and I had to insall win7 back. This time there were no drivers...

I am really confused. I used my friend's computer to put internet drivers on this computer and installed other updates here.

My computer detects Intel instead of AMD. ;/

So,umm here are a few pics of the problems...Capture.PNGCapture.PNG

I already tried updating bios,etc... Never worked. If you can help please do so! If you could know the solution for the problem add me on skype: mundeknornapartis .

Please help me... Im really concerned on what's happening. :/

Extending/Duplicating the Display with an External Monitor

I have an HP Pavilion g6-2067ca Notebook PC with Windows 7 OS.  I just connected a brand new HP LV1911 LED Backlit LCD Monitor to it.  I want to be able to have one document on the monitor and a different document on the notebook display.  I have tried every combination of options in the Control Panel under display and on the F4 key--nothing has worked.  I can duplicate the screens and show the same document on both screens, but I cannot "split" the view and have one document on the monitor and a second one on the notebook.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Laptop display discolored

Greetings,

I have an HP Pavilion DV4 laptop, product number LH989AV, running windows 7. The other day I opened a bottle of soda whilst using the computer, the soda exploded and some hit the computer. I turned it off, tried to clean up the mess, and when I turned it on later that night, it had intermittent screen discoloration that flickered on the left half of the screen. Today, when I turned it on, the entire screen was discolored, and the discoloration no longer flickered, but will still sometimes show normally for a few minutes at a time. I connected the laptop to a TV via an HDMI cable, and the discoloration does not show up on the TV, which makes me think the issue is not with the graphics card. The computer is past warranty by about a year and a half. I opened the laptop up to see if the cable was somehow loose, but it appears to be just fine. Is this an issue with the connection cable to the screen or the screen itself, or something else entirely?

Many thanks for any help you are able to supply me.

Edited to add images. This is what the screen looks like discolored.

This is what the external monitor looks like, or what the laptop monitor looks like normally.
