Enterprise environment. Every once in while, after waking pc up, one of the monitors will not come on. this is happening to several users. We have tried updating to latest nvidia drivers and the only that works that gives dual displays is the 276 driver. Later drivers will only allow the pc to detect one of the monitors. In this enviroment we also use HP 8760's and 8770's. It also happens to these laptops but is is very rare. It happens to the 8740 frequently though. Any thoughts?

Monitor Brightness Control Problem
I have HP Pavilion dv6-6120se laptop, windows 7 x64 bit, switchable graphics Intel HD 3000 and AMD Radeon HD 6490M. I have a problem in controlling the monitor brightness and the problem has started when i upgraded my AMD catalyst to 13.6 beta. The problem happens When the AMD graphics is activated the brightness is stuck and it doesn't respond either to rising or lowering it but when i switch to the Intel graphics everything is fine and i can control the brightness as normal. The new catalyst driver 13.6 beta is working fine except for that issue.please help me fix it.

Battery has been dead a long time.
My display drivers and BIOS have recently been updated from HP website.
After a power failure and a restart, the display looks weird. It was shiftedabout an inch downwards with a black border at the top, over which the mouse will not go, and the taskbar is not visible as is off the bottom of the screen.
When I go to Screen Resolution from Windows by right clicking on desktop resolution is set as 1024x768, when I click on Advanced Settings, Monitor tab, Monitor is set as Generic Non-PnP Monitor (1024x768 60Hz).
When I change to 1024x600 it looks blurry and stretched vertically, but the screen is still shifted downwards with black border on top.
When I enter Intel Graphics Settings I can do the same changes as in the Windows dialog box (640x480, 800x600,1024x600,1024x768).
In the Aspect Ratio Options when I select Fullscreen (No-Border) the Black border is fixed but the screen still appears streched vertically but the screen is cut off at the bottom with no Taskbar visible.
Re-installed graphics driver as well as a few Monitor Type Drivers from windows, nothing changes.
When I turn the notebook on, the HP Quickweb screen also appears as a 1024x600 stretched vertically with no black border at top but going off the display at the bottom.
It appears that Windows and Hp Quickweb see the display as 1024x768 60Hz after the power failure.
Before that, I had installed some Windows Updates but nothing related to Display drivers.
I only had a System Restore point from earlier that day (very low free hard drive space?) but that didnt do anything.
Guessing it's a registry/driver problem since no pixels are bad and the black border on top is fixed in Aspect Ratio Options when I select Fullscreen (No-Border). Any suggestions please?

Laptop Screen Brightness Stuck

HP Probook 4411s dark screen
Hi, I have HP Probook 4411s laptop. Last week, I open it up to clean the lint/dust from the cpu fan. Now when I start the it, its lcd screen is very dark. It shows HP logo and windows boot screen, but barely visible when I flash a light at it. I can hook it to my tv via HDMI cable and all looks fine. I have tried the hard reset, but my problem still exits. What went wrong? Please help.

I got my new HP laptop a week ago, the first time i used Cyberlink Youcam it worked perfectly. Npe it lags so bad, i've changed all the settings. Which didn't make a difference, i downloaded another webcam program but its still the same thing. Can anyone help me?

HP Truevision HD Webcam no longer working - Envy DV7
I've seen multiple threads on this issue around the forums but none have provided any solution satisfactorily.
In brief I have an HP Envy DV7 (dv7-7203ea) notebook, WIndows 8.
The HP TrueVision webcam no longer works. Cyberlink YouCam has been removed and reinstalled yet still returns the following error
Neither have I any Imaging Devices visible in Device Manager.
This webcam used to work just fine. There must be an update that's killed it but I don't really want to disappear off into my restore point history to find out exactly when.
I've done all the manual power resets etc etc
Surely HP must now be aware of this issue and have a solution given that so many people have experienced this.

Random black screen while laptop is in use (HP Pavilion dv7t-4100 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC)
I have a HP Pavilion dv7t-4100 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC running Windows 7.
My screen randomly goes black (still lit but black) when in use. The black screen does not occur until the computer is in use. The screen will go black for a few minutes and then come back on. Sometimes the screen will not come back on and the computer has to be forced to shut down.
There is no error message when this occurs. All of my drivers are up to date.

Dv4-2045dx with black screen!
I've read a few posts about this problem with others but has anyone found a solution? I've got my neighbors laptop which he is hoping I can help him with. When I boot it up all the lights come on on the keyboard and it boots into windows just fine I assume, since I can here the windows start up sound but am unable to see anything except the black screen. Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Is screen LTN173KT02 W01 compatable with HP G7 1070us laptop
I received a replacement screen for my HP G7 1070us 17.3" laptop. The original screen is cracked and is a LTN173KT01 K01. The replacement was suppose to be compatable but it is LTN173KT02 W01. I installed it and the screen is severely out of focus. Checked the connection multiple times and same thing. Old cracked screen when connected is not out of focus. Is this a non-compatable screen or is there a driver update or anything else that might make this work?

LAPTOP COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ40 SHUTS DOWN IMMEDIATELYLY ON POWER ON
My Compaq Presario CQ40 is 6 yrs old suddenly one evening this peculiar problem occured.Power on led remains for 3 secs and then switches off.Ethernet port leds also glow and then then switches off . Kindly advise what went wrong with my laptop. Battery checked and is ok.

Graphics Card trouble for a while :(
I am about fed up with my laptop and I need this fixed immediatly. I have been having this issue for about 10 months or so (Shrugs).
I actually have two issues and I was wondering if the first issue have something to do with my graphics card error.
My first issue is that my screen goes blank after 5 minutes of no use, even if I change it to an hour. When I want to come back to the screen and touch my mouse, it stays black and I can't see anything. SO I have to always press the power button and shut it down and reboot it to get it back to normal.
Okay My second issue is my graphics card I received an error every time I boot up to home screen saying that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)". My Graphics card is RADEON (TM) HD 7450M. So what do I do? I am very dumb when it comes to computers, so someone needs to walk me through some steps. I tried updating the driver software (going to Device manager and right clicking on the graphics card name and clicking update), but after I did all of that and restarted my computer they error was still there. I'm so scared to take my computer apart to fix the problem, but If I have to then I will. I just need someone to PLEASE HELP ME. *Cries*
Perhaps the reason my screen goes black has something to do with my graphics card, so if I get this graphics card fix then maybe the black screen will be fixed as well???????????
