Hello HP forum users
NOTE: SORRY I AM POSTING THIS IN THE WRONG BOARD. ALL OF THE "NOTEBOOK BOARDS" WERE/ARE "READ ONLY" THUS NOT ALLOWING ME TO POST THERE. THIS WAS THE CLOSEST BOARD I COULD FIND. AGAIN, I AM SORRY.
I have been having difficulty trying to play new games( Maplestory and Minecraft) on my laptop. After trying extensively to fix the issues on the specific game forums I have come to the conclusion that my video card is whats affecting my ability to play these games.
I have an HP Pavilion dv7 laptop running 64- bit Windows 10.
- AMD Phenom P960 Quad-Core Processor
- 4.00 GB of ram
- AMD Radeon HD 6300M series & ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series 'display adapters'
The problem I believe to be hindering my ability to load these games is my AMD Radeon HD 6300m series display adapter. Looking in the Device Manager I see it has a Code 43 error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."
I have uninstalled & reinstalled the drivers with windows update. I went to the AMD Website and installed the new Crimson 15.11.1 beta drivers.
I found this post:

and followed mrgooyes post(about 4-5 replies down) and still am having no luck.
I was thinking that maybe since I opened my laptop sometime ago, and possibly didnt plug them back in the right way might be a possibility, but my dad says theyre built into the motherboard. I'm beginning to believe this is a problem with Windows 10 and alas, I have no option to downgrade.
If anyone has any ideas what might be wrong and/or how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Let me know if there is any more information I would need to post and I'll gladly try my best to keep you guys updated.
Thank you in advance for any replies!
