zbook 17 dreamcolor screen have color problem

$

I receive my Zbook 17 in last friday, the whole laptop seems work fine, but I find some problems about color.

In this picure, you will see a big green tint in the central and a red tint on the righ side, it annoys me in this whole weekend.

I have tried a lot of ways to solve this prolem, reinstall the graphic cards driver, change the setting of the HP mobile display assistant and calibrate, but no one work.

I search a lot about this on the internet and I find this is a "normal" problem for the DC panel? If it is true, why the HP sold this unmature product.

To tell the truth, I don't want to return again because I have returned one in June (AMD drive problem and same pink tint problem) and it waste me almost 1 month, if I return this one, I will wait almost 25 days again, actually, I don't have time. But I will feel annoy when I see this screen.

Anybody could give me an solution for this problem? Or I need to change other manufacture?1.jpg

How to verify maximum resolution supported by G62 laptop HDMI

Hi,

I have a HP G62-b50sa laptop and am looking at purchasing a large monitor to use alongside it.

The laptop has an Intel Graphics card (shared memory) and a HDMI output port. Looking at the manual, it mentions that the HDMI out supports 1080p, which is 1920x1080 resolution. However, the monitor I'm keen on is the Dell U2415h, which has a native resolution of 1920x1200 (HDMI input).

Is there anyway I can confirm if the laptop will support this resolution via HDMI? I've searched about but haven't seen anything conclusive.

The other option is a Dell U2414h, which is 1920x1080. But I'm not so keen on the 16:9 monitors so would prefer the extra screen height Smiley Happy

Thanks in advance.

Hello Dear all; I have purchased a HP pavilion 15-n055tx with the following details: core i3 1.8 Ghz processor, 4 GB RAM, Intel HD 4000 Graphic card, Radeon (TM) HD 8670M Graphic card. I have installed Windows 8.1 64bit, and download all driver updates from HP web site. but I can not switch between intel and AMD graphic cards, when I play a game like PES 15 or PES14 or Need For Speed, system just use the Intel graphic and did not switch to AMD, even I configure software and games in configure switchable graphics to High performance but it does not work. I also update bios to the latest version from HP website but in bios setup I don not have any option for configuring graphic cards. I am not able to use my Radeon (TM) HD 8670M dedicated graphic card please help me to solve this problem, I have searched in internet but I did not find anything useful. Thanks in Advance!!! Hello, my name is daniel and i have a HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14-b170us Ultrabook.

A few months back my touch screen would stop working now and then, and in order to fix it i had to uninstall the driver in the device manager. After a few weeks the same thing happened but uninstalling the driver from device manager would not work. Last week i got the time to do a master reset on my laptop, hoping the touch screen would respond. As expected the touch screen still does not respond. I have updated my laptop back to Windows 8.1 64 bit, and i have installed all the updates in the driver section, and still the touch screen does not work. I have tried to do the component test on the UEFI but the touch screen tab does not appear. What should i do now?

Good afternoon! I connect to a Wi-Fi network using the router QSS button that serves to allow access without entering the network password, but when I pressed the button my notebook has a blue screen (that windows error screen 8.1 with a guy sad), there held the power button for a few seconds until it shut down, it had already happened other times I tried to connect using the QSS function of routers, but this time the turn he gave no video, the Caps Lock LED blinks twice an interval of 5 seconds and blinks twice and so repeatedly.
I've been researching and saw two flashes mean problem with the BIOS.
I bought the notebook in Paraguay do 11 months, the store gave me one year warranty, but as I live in Brazil I'd really like to solve without bringing the warranty.
I am technician Computer so if you have a procedure that can be done like to explain to me so I can resolve

The notebook model is an Envy 15T-J100, Intel core i7 processor, 8 GB of memory, 1T + HD 24 GB SSD. he was never opened and never been formatted, was all partitions that comes standard, the only thing I did was reduce the partitions of the system to create another partition to store data.
Des already appreciate your help ...

Stuck Pixal

Bought an HP Evny on 6/21. Paid way more than what I had budgeted for (over $1000).  I loved it until I noticed the stuck pixal. I have tried every suggestion on this board to see if I can get rid of it; no luck.  I called the place where I bought it, but they said I had to contact HP.  Has anyone here had any luck with HP replacing laptops with stuck pixals?  Thanks!

HP Pavilion g6 2005 ax screen flickering

Hi there,

I am having this flickering issue since last few months, screen goes blank everytime while opening and closing the lid at an  certain angle only, rarely white screen, rather works fine at most usable reading angles, I have came to know about video cable worn out and shorting with metal part due to frequent lid opening and closing  or lose connection of video cable, else I have no poblems with laptop at all, so my questions are

1) Should I keep going on using like this without worrying to fix this as I dont face serious issues with this?

2) If this problem has to be fixed, then what measures to take? Like fixing the lose video cable ends with tapes or changing the whole video cable( which I dont think is required)?

3) Last and most important: I have seen pictures and videos regarding this problem on google and youtube also videos for disassembling and fixing this issue of g6 series,so if fixing is must, should I do it myself?

waiting for reply, thanks hp.

I think I'm being stupid but  maybe not.

I plug an hdmi cable into the port of the x360 and windows does not see the dell monitor that is plugged in and working with another computer.

I tried rebooting and clicked 'detect' in the display properties but it doesn't see it.

What am I doing wrong?

Video freezes but sound is ok

Hi,

I have a computer that was previously runnning on Windows 7 and I upgraded to Windows 8.1 64-bit (student). Everything was running perfectly. Then, after a Windows Update (I don't remember which one, but somewhere in May 2015) things started to get less perfect.

Computer started to slow down to the point that it was unusable (not even Microsoft Word would run properly).

I thought I had a virus/malware, did the checks I usually do, nothing came up.

I finally decided to do a full reinstall of windows 8.1. Did the required updates.

Updated all the drivers. ALL of them. On HP website and on providers website (Intel for example).

Computer still gets slow randomly (after a few hours of use for example) but the biggest problem is with video playing.

I can't watch a video on Netflix, it freezes too much. Even when I try to play a local video file on Windows Media Player, the sound is perfect, doesn't stutter nor freezes, but I get approximatly one frame of video for 2-3 minutes of playback. It is choppy and unwatcheable. If I try to watch the same video on VLC player, I have huge grey blocks on the image and I can see the actual video frames under the grey areas, and also I get a few frames per minutes, video ends up freezing while sounds play approximatly ok.

Even as I write this post, letters appear in blocks every 5-10 seconds but don't appear flawlessly as they should.

Anybody has an idea what is happening in general, and specifically to the video freezing? I'm running out of ideas (and of patience).

Graphic Card is an Intel HD Graphics 3000. If you need anymore info I will be happy to provide them as best as I can.

Thanks in advance.

Game (DoA5:Last Round) Slow on Zbook (Specs: 32GB DDR, 2GB Nvidia Quadro K110M, 1TB SSD, Win8.1 Pro)

$

I recently got a Zbook 15 and immediately upgraded the OS to Windows 8.1 and installed 32GB RAM (Crucial Ballistix) and replaced the HDD with a Samsung 850 Evo SSD (1TB). The specs of my notebook right now are as follows;

- Microsoft Windows 8.1 Pro
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4810MQ CPU @ 2.80GHz, 2801 Mhz, 4 Core(s)
- Installed Physical Memory (RAM)  32.0 GB
- NVIDIA Quadro K1100M (2GB GDDR) / Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600

- Samsung 850 Evo 1TB SSD

This is a work laptop, but for fun, I bought and installed Dead of Alive 5 - Last Round and everything seemed great until this morning when the game started going slow. I have tried everything - including trying to set the game to only use the Nvidia Graphics Card via the Nvidia Control Panel - to no avail. I also noticed that a lot of online videos seemed to be freezing while I'm watching them.

Considering the speed/performance advantage this laptop is supposed to have, I am ... unhappy about this.

What could be the cause of the performance issue? How do I troubleshoot for it?

PS: I have also noticed that the "Run with Graphics Processor ..." is not showing in the context menu when I Right-Click on an application despite it being checked in the Desktop settings in the Nvidia Control Panel.

Okay, I am trying to view the newest update for Windows 10 and apparently xmlviewerHPSF has stopped working.  This is an application by HP themselves.  What happened?  Where is the fix for this if we are to be able to download Windows 10 come July 29?  I have tried to figure this out since last week and am overwhelmed with information yet, no answers.  Someone in the IT department please help me with this problem.  How do you put it back into operation on your computer?  Is there a fix in the work to fix the known problems for this update?  Looking forward to your expedient help with the troublesome problem.

Hello, my name is Kathe and i have some questions about driver graphics.
First of all i would like to tell how your company is good and how your products are really excellent.  Well, all in all i bought GTA V to play here in my notebook (HP 14-r052br Notebook PC). I saw everything about hardware and software and it's ok to play, but i would like to know what's the driver graphic that HP Company recomends to play it well, because sometimes it works really bad, you know? If bugs and things like that. So, if you guys could help me with it i will be very thankful. Just giving me a name of some driver graphic that can help me to play it better than now

                                                                                            Thanks in advance, Kathe.

Display Adapter Problems

$

So,  I got my HP Pavilion 14-209ex with the Touchscreen as I specified. I'm running Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9926 [Evaluation Copy] x64 bit (Which is not included in the OS for some reason.). It contains 2 Video Cards, which are AMD HD 8000M Series (Not specified in Device Manager) and an Intel HD Graphics, which is PROBABLY a 4400. The notebook used to work well when it had Windows 8/8.1. But since it was 10. The AMD had an error as the Catalyst only showed 3 options which are Pinned and Presets and Information. While the problem with the Intel was that it has the good ol' Microsoft Basic Display Adapter Problem. As the dxdiag only detects the Basic Display Adapter as the main and doesn't show anything about the AMD. And a lot of games lag and stuff. It used to be a powerful PC when it had Windows 8/8.1. A lot of fixes I saw were just about installing the Insider Preview. But unfortunately, Microsoft now ended downloading the Preview. Because 10 is just about to come out for Public. I tried a lot of fixes. But none worked. I went to the Notebook's page, downloaded the drivers. The AMD seems to complete installation, and fixes a little bit. But the Intel ones just say that my PC doesn't meet the requirements. Which is bullcrap. I need any help A.S.A.P. please.
