I have a Pavilion dv7-6b55dx Entertainment PC.
The integrated webcam is a HP TrueVision HD webcam.
The webcam does not show up in the device manager
I have downloaded Cyberlink YouCam 5 and it also notes that no webcam can be detected.
The settings button is grayed out and cannot be clicked on.
I have also downloaded the driver for the webcam which has done nothing. (http://www.driverscape.com/download/hp-truevision-hd)

One day I went to play a dvd in my laptop. It would not play so I went into my computer and it does not acknowledge that the drive is there. I looked under device manager and I don't think it acknowledges it either. I don't know if it is a driver issue, or something else.
The screen occasionally will turn off while running games that demand a lot of memory or CPU. It can occur anywhere between 15 minutes and an hour of running a game. I can hear the fan working and can see that the LEDs are on but nothing else seems to be functioning because the heat sink cools down. The computer does not respond to any keypress. It remains like this until I do a hard restart. The event is not detected by Windows Action Center, HP Support Assistant, nor Windows Event Viewer. I keep the laptop well ventilated and I do not use programs to enhance my computer's performance. The issue appears regardless of whether I use power saving or normal power consumption settings. I have made sure that my drivers and software are up-to-date through HP Support Assistant, Windows Update, and through the HP support website. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Hey I was wondering where the inverter is located in this computer. I looked in the user manual and it states that it is located in the bottom of the screen. But in my computer is not located there. Is there any other place where it is located?
I bought my laptop from bestbuy in 2013. Recently I have found that its hinges were weak. I modified them and now they work just fine, but in doing so, i needed to remove the screen in order to get to the hinges. Now that I rebooted my computer, my screen no longer worked. I replaced it with a new screen from amazon that is "compatible" with my computer but now the screen is extremely dim (backlight is probably broken). What should I do? Should I replace the parts?

Whe I try to run any video ie netflix, youtube, news stories etc the sound plays, but the area of the screen that should show the video is a bright green. All other features appear ok. I think I may be missing an update

Recently, I have been unable to adjust the screen brightness on my laptop. I have tried adjusting it using the F2 and F3 keys and also in settings but the brightness stays the same. When I use the F2 and F3 keys, not only does the brightness not change, but the bar that is suppose to go up and down depending on how you adjust the brightness does not move. When I try to adjust it in settings, I can move the bar but the brightness does not change. Right now my screen brightness is stuck in almost the lowest setting.

I perchased a HP 2000 Notebook about 2 years ago. Sometime last year my dog knocked it off the table, and I lost all video. I ordered a new screen and had a friend install it about 6 months ago. I was happily using it until a few weeks ago. The screen went blank. If I turn it a certain way, I can see visions, but can't detect the mouse. Any suggestions? Thank You!

when i open my device manager > display adapters
it dose not show my 820 m graphic card , it only shows the intel one .
same goes when i use GPU-Z program .
what is the problem ? how can i solve it ?

My HP HP 15-g040AU laptop is (subjectively) slow when starting apps. I can live with that in a cheap, low-spec machine. (Note: I just use it for MS Office and accessing the net for email etc - I'm not trying to play games or use it for anything excessive)
It also has a nasty habit of locking up the cursor. It requires repeated tapping on the cursor pad to get it free and moving again. Give me your opinions please: Is this caused by running up against the limits of the CPU/memory (It has the standard CPU and 2GB RAM) or is my particular box at fault ?
