HP ZBook 17 i7 4700MQ

HP 230W Dock Station Muf1.0 US

 

I have 2 monitors connected to the docking station and all was working ok until this evening.  No changes that I am aware of.

 

The system now only detects one of the monitors (HP LP2465 connected via DVI).   The HP2035 connected via VGA was working fine as a 2nd display for a few days but now when I boot up it is not even detected.

 

I have tried re-installing both sets of drivers (SP71151 for Intel and SP70983 for Nvidia) but no joy on that.

 

The system is set to use BIOS at boot and I re-set to defaults for troubleshooting and that did not help.

 

Ideas?

I've previously been using a USB 3.0 connected Toshiba Dynadock for interfacing to the following:

1. AOC e2343FK Full HD 23" monitor - connected via the DVI connection

2. Hardwired Gigabit ethernet connection

3. Sound card (Logitech 5.1)

4. Logitech 2MP webcam

5. Microsoft keyboard 600

6. Microsoft mouse

 

This morning I connected a second Full HD - Philips 231P monitor (this also contains a built-in port replicator - not used).

 

To do this, I simply connected the USB input (USB 3.0) for the 2nd monitor into one of the USB 3.0 connectors at the back of the Toshiba Dynadock. After rebooting and waiting for the correct drivers to be installed, I was able to connect to a "projector" and configure both screens as 2 & 3 (1 is the original laptop screen).

 

So if anyone is wondering if it's possible to drive multiple monitors via a single USB 3.0 connector - the answer is "Yes!".

I recently had my hardrive replaced in my HP Pavilion Notebook Model A6y53UA.  I tried to reinstall Microsoft Office as it was installed on my computer when I originally purchased it, but was not reinstalled.  I failed since I did not have a product key and went to the HP site for help.  I ended up downloading a AMD High Definition Graphics Driver.  Now my screen and text, along with pictures are all distorted.  I went to recent downloads and tried to uninstall but seem unable to do so.  Any tips for a very tech-challenged person?

Hello sir/madam,

 I'm using HP Pavilion G6 1200 TX laptop. This laptop supported most of games in past time while i bought(2013). It have switchable graphics 

 

Integrated graphics: Intel 3000 HD

Dedicated graphics: AMD Radeon 6470m

 

 

Currently it is not supporting high configuration games. So i planned to change my dedicated graphics card(AMD Radeon 6470m- 1GB). In theory it says we can't change integrated graphics. But we can change dedicated graphics card. Please help me to choose 2gb graphics card for my laptop. Also consider my Laptop configuration given below.

 

 

Processor: Intel i3 

Ram: 4GB DDR3

Hello all!

 

I unfortunately have yet another issue with my Envy.  

 

Sometimes while I'm using it, the display will randomly fade to black. Sometimes I have to wait a couple seconds for it to fade back in and sometimes it fades back in almost immediately. I wouldn't think it would be falling asleep as I'm actively using the computer (moving the mouse and clicking, scrolling, etc).

 

While my laptop was being repaired for a minor issue, I had mentioned this problem also and the technician at HP's service center said he did a diagnostic on it and didn't find anything. So I have no idea what the issue is.

 

If anyone could offer any help, it would be much appreciated.

I was purchase Pavilion 14-b172TX in 2013. Recentally i upgrade this laptop on Windows 8.1 (64 Bit).

After that my display touch fuction is not working till date. Kindly assist is this Windows issue or hardware issue.

Hi,

I recently upgraded my system from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. Since then it doesn,t start normally. Mainly give Blue screen with error Bad Pool caller, Bad pool header, Service Exception error, Driver corrupted expool. The system never hibernate or sleep. 

Please help.

Hi there, 

 

My Chromebook HP14 is brand new, but when I click on a video the screen turns green. At the beginning it are just a few spots but the longer you play a video the more it'll  turn green.  At first I tought there was something wrong with my screen, but when I open other tabs there seems to be nothing wrong. 

I've searched through the internet for any solutions, but they all include updating or going to your settings for different options. And since a chromebook has very limited options, I'm not able to do either of them. 

 

Can anyone help me out?

I have hp15 r249tu notebook i purchased 15 days before... there's problem with this product.my screen fluctuate with 60 hz screen resolution during playing videos with windows 8.1 default video app.plz escape me from this problem....send m solution of above msg...

Pressing the power button you can hear a motor running and some lights do come on but no display on the screen.   The mode of operation  sounds like it is in the " hybernate " mode,  however pressing any button will not make it to boot up.

 

After doing a hard reset and pressing the power button and pressing the esc/F11 will not cause the screen to come on.

After Clean instal Win7 SP1 64Bit I found a problem when installing display driver, BSOD appear with message atikmpag.sys

I allways get a crash with blue error screen when i try to install updates sp61054. after istallation the sytem rebbots but crash. and i have disabled redeon and using intel graphics that came in default. how i can solve this issue
