Hello

I have brought a brand new Hp Pro book 450 g2 5th gen core i5. previously i installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. beacause of some compatibiity issues i had to install windows 8.1 64 bit. the problem is in the system resolution task bar the dedicated video memory is 0mb. previously in windows 7 it was 2500mb. why is it so i have installed all the drivers from the internet but the problem is still there. i have tried to run games like gta 5 and max payne 3. the gta5 after running for 5 mins give an error and the maxpayne is not working

Kindly guide me

Can you help?

 

I've switched on my HP Pavilion g series this morning and the screen is blank. It has power, the fan starts but I have no display. I have read across the forums here and have followed the advice:

 

+ take out battery

+ power down and hold start button for around 30 seconds

+ take out power lead

+ startup again using power lead

 

I have tried this a number of times, but still have a blank screen. The laptop was working fine the last time I used it. Can you provide any futher advice please?

This might sound really silly, but I got my laptop today and can't for the life of me find the file location of the default pictures (for example one is of a windy road) - they're not in any 'Pictures' folders that I can find, where the heck are they?

Good evening, so like 2 hours ago everything worked fine then i installed amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-with-dotnet45-win7-64bit after which my display started having problems it has a constant yellow triangle over it. if i try to change resolution the only monitor i can use is Standard VGA graphics adapter and can only use 1024x728 and 800x600. I've tried alot of diferent things uninstalling it and installing again, trying amd-catalyst-15.4beta-64bit-win7-apr9 but it still has same problem, i don't know what to do and neither can i go back to when it was working. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone ,

so i have an HP pavilion G6 2321ee with swtichable graphics (AMD 7670M and Intel 4000HD) with Win 8.1 64bit

i'am having issue with DX11 games that the AA (AntiAliasing) is not affected whether in game settings or in CCC settings ,

and also i only see Intel 4000HD detected in the games !

it's been more than 1 month with this issue , i've reinstalled and tried different types of graphic driver but it didn't help ,

BTW : my issue is exactly in P3D (Prepar3D simulator)

Hi, I recently got this workstation: HP ZBook 15. Everything is working fine. Windows updates complete and all drivers installed, except NVIDIA Quadro K1100M. Intell HD Graphics 4600 is working fine but NVIDIA card shows "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" with a yellow exclamation sign. I have tried many times to install NVIDIA driver (downloaded from NVIDIA website and HP ZBook Driver update), and EVERYTIME it crashes windows and shows BSD.

 

Please help me sort out this issue!

My laptop has wierd lines on it. Can Anyone help me? it is on everything I do. I tried the screen calibration but i dont have a menu key on my laptop. i would get a screenshot but i dont have the snipping tool anywhere on my pc. I tried to make it have all accessories but its still on there.

Hello geeks! Please help me out.

 

I just bought Specter x360 and formatted it with Windows 10 build 100074.

 

Everything till now is fine and beautiful except the disturbing font. You can see fonts in the Menu are absolutely fine, but fonts inside (where disk space and drive letters are shown) are much blurred, and this is very irritating.

 

What is needed to be done to get rid of this blurred font?

My HP Beat Special Edition HD touch screen (1920 x 1080) has a bluish tint (white isn't pure white but is pale blue).  The graphics card is AMD Radeon HD 8510G.   I've downloaded the latest driver from HP website for this laptop, and it hasn't resolved the issue.   Tried adjusting the display through both the Windows settings and AMD Catalyst Control Center, but it only made it worse instead of better.  Anyone else has this issue, and has found a solution to get true white on their machine?  I am a photographer, so it's imparitive that I get true colors on my screen.  Thank you!

Hello,

 

I am running an HP ZBook 14 mobile workstation and the volume meter that pops up at the bottom of the screen when I change the volume has stopped showing up. The volume will still change when I press the Softer or Louder buttons, but I cannot see the blue volume meter -- I have to check by clicking the symbol at the bottom right. Additionally, when I turn on caps lock I no longer see a notification saying it has turned on. I believe this might be related to a display issue.

Hello! I REALLY HOPE YOU CAN HELP. I need this laptop working again because it has some very important data i want to retrieve off of it. It was originally my friends and he gave it to me and i used it for a couple of years until i got a desktop. Now that i found this laptop in a box in my attic i want to see what was on there. Bassically heres what happened. i ordered a new charger and it arrived today. I plugged it in and the charging light on the side and on the front come on. But when i turn in on the power light (on the switch) turns on very very quickly then turns off immediatly. So its like a short flash. Then the wifi switch turns orange, and the hard drive LED does a pattern like this - 1 long, 6 short, repeat. - there is no sign of the fan or the HDD actually turning on. I reseated the RAM, and battery but nothing, the computer turns on i guess, but there is no output on the screen. This model doesnt have a vga port so i can not test if its actually outputing video. Also the button above the trackpad turns on and when i try and hold down the button to turn it off it does not power off at all so i have to remove the battery.

So, after dealing with broken hinges on my HP Envy M6 for almost 1.5 years, I finally come across info that there might be a recall?  What is the process for getting this fixed?

my problem is that . my pc does not support video memory and my total available graphics memory is 1792 MB although i have nvidia graphic accelerator 2 gb and i installed nvidia . thanks in advance

I have been using s-video cord for my older external big screen projection monitor for a few weeks now. Today we unplugged the laptop and watched a movie in another room. When I returnes the laptop and plugged the s-video cord back in the external monitor is in black and white. What do I do, to get the color back.

Yes, recent display driver download for windows 8 (highest available) finished installation with some warnings:

 

LOw frame rate and poor overall performance in native resolution. I think, likely due to not being the correct O.S.? When is update coming for 8.1? Thnks

Hello all,

 

I need some urgent help, i have on my laptop HP Elitebook Folio 9470m all drivers installed so under device manager it doesnt show any missing drivers.

 

But when i connect my projector and tested it with a different laptop it worked.

On this laptop when i click the Connect to Projector it doesnt say anything??

Please can anyone help me?

One of your forum user named 'Arnie92' had the same problem.The problem is that i have amd hd 8670m graphics card placed in my notebook which i would like to use for my games.Arnie92 had the same problems as i do;we have same consequences faced by our notebooks.I would like you guys to help me in this as you did before.I guess you suggested him a driver by some information he gave you about his pc.My notebook's data is listed below:

Hi sir/madam,

I have recently brought hp 15-r205tu. i am using ubuntu 14.04 LTS on it. The brightness of my computer is not changing. If have tried all the possible ways to change it, i.e., by using function keys, and also from system settings but the brightness remains the same. plzzz help
