Hello, the other day I dropped my laptop the HP Pavillion 17 notebook and the backlight went out, and due to some testing ive found the LCD inverter is broken. Anyone know if I can get another inverter or I have to replace the screen completly

Does the HP 15-g200na have touchscreen?
When you use the search facility on the UK store with touchscreen selected, this new notebook appears in the list at a very good price:

However, I'm not 100% sure reading the description whether it really does have touchscreen. It's not mentioned in the description whereas other notebooks descriptions do.

display driver stops responding and has restarted
I just bought this pc a little over a month ago and when i am playing a video game (world of warcraft) the display driver stops responding and my game freezes. I have to log off the pc and restart everything but it happens again and again. I need help! The error message I ghet says the display driver has stopped responding and hass resstarted.

Nvidia Geforce GTX 850m Performance Problem
Hi everybody, I have a serious problem with my graphic card and it's realy long story to explain it and I'm really sorry for my English but I'll try to explain I hope someone wil help me.
First of all, my laptop has a really poor performance of craphic cards. The performance just same as my old laptop Samsung with 1gb ATI Radeon HD4650 and 4gb RAM. I bought my HP ENVY 15-K000ST J0B61EA some couple of months ago and performance was same at first too and I waited for new updates of graphic card but still I have this problem.
System Info:
Intel Core i7-4510U 2.60 GHz Processor
16 gb Ram DDR3
4gb Nvidia Geforce GTX 850m Graphic Card + Intel HD Graphics (Default)
1TB Hard Drive
Windows 8.1 64 bit
I suspect that Nvidia Geforce GTX 850m is not working when it supposed to work. I'm a designer and I use Photoshop, and Illustrator most of the time and it's really slow when I work on this programs, I don't exagerate but really my 5 years old Samsung laptop is just same as performance about design programs and games, also in my HP ENVY 15-K000ST J0B61EA I can only play games like Sniper Elite III and Assasins's Creed Black Flag with the lowest quality settings.
I want to tell what I tried to solve this isssue:
- First I checked drivers and I installed updates of drivers then I set those programs and games to use Nvidia Geforce GTX 850m as a default device in the section "Manage 3D Settings" of Nvidia Control Panel.
- Then I tried to open those programs and games by right clicking the icon and I chose "Open with graphic card > Nvidia 850m". But the perfomanse was still poor.
- In Photoshop and Illustrator there is also an option to choose graphic card and it's called "GPU Mode". In Photoshop or Illustrator in the GPU mode settings you can see the details of graphic card and it was showing Nvidia Geforce GTX 850m but in "total memory" section there wasn't any info, it was empty. I searched about this issue in internet and I found that some people solved this problem by disabling the default graphic card Intel HD Graphics in "Devide Manager" then I tried this and I checked GPU Mode in Illustrator and it was showing "total memory" as 4095mb but performance still poor.
- And then when I tried to play games even they didn't started, I only got black screen when I tried to open games. And that moment I understood that Nvidia Geforce GTX 850m even it's not working because when Intel HD Graphics was enable I was able to open games with low quality graphics but when I disabled Intel HD Graphics and I tried to open games with Nvidia Geforce GTX 850m games didn't started.
Please help me solve my problem or at least tell me what should I do. Thank you.

Yet many more graphics issues.
For quite some time now I've been battling with graphics problems, even while the computer was under warranty I was having problems and kept getting blown off by HP support during this time. Now that it's no longer under warranty I am stuck trying to find support from third party sources.
The graphics problem I am having is that when playing EVE Online my graphics driver would crash and, usually, recover. This tends to result in some programs crashing out and having to be restarted. Skype and Firefox chief among them. Sometimes this results in a BSOD, but rarely.
Now this week I got tired of it decided I would try just reinstalling the graphics drivers which I had firmly believed to be the newest available. It turns out, I was wrong, the drivers out of date by a lot. But there comes a catch. The AMD drivers can't be newer than the intel drivers since I made the horrific mistake of letting one of the sales department reps at HP convince me that hybrid cards are an amazing thing. So after spending way to many hours trying to install newer AMD drivers I found out I have to actually use a version of the drivers that are perhaps a dozen versions out of date by coming here to HP and downloading a driver pack from here.
So now that I am using some dusty old HP drivers I went back to try some games and wind down from the frustration. Only to find out that the crashes have migrated to other games and have gotten worse. Now even youtube is causing crashes. So I went back down the ye olde HP checklist of drivers and I see I am up to date on everything, graphics, audio, bios, mailing address, facebook status, email, utility payments.. heck even my dental recards are up to date. And yet the problem has only gotten worse.
I am at a loss for what to do next. The model is A1L69AV on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

My Laptop won't turn on
The orange button and the power light are on but it won't turn on! I even have it plugged up it still won't cut on I have only had it for a few months.

green screen
Every video I play shows up in as a green screen the sound is ok. But the green screen is irritating and it does it whenever it wants to. I have tried everything, I have looked for every solution, I have even did the recovery thing but nothing works and it still ends up playing as a green screen. I really need someone to know how to fix this.

Screen flashing causes great trouble
Hi all,
I am using HP Pavilion dv4-3031tx notebook (windows 7 home 64 bit). I always try to keep my notebook updated with the latest drivers, and am especially concerned about the graphics. Few months ago when I installed MS Office 2013, I found my laptop screen starts flashing (cursor's no movement...cursor busy.... screen hangs..... turned black...... again gets back to normal screen) during using office. It was fine to work after sudden flashing, bt the smoothnesses of scrolling and other movements were lost. I had no problem with that issue as I could continue my work. But recently, the problem is becoming really troublesome as it is not only the OFFICE issue any more. For example, when I unplug my charger from notebook, after some time (say 15 mins), it starts the same problem suddenly. That is okay, but after happening this, the opened pages in my browser become blank (only white colored screen) and I have to close my pages which interrupts my ongoing work. Not only with the browser, same issue happens with other softwares sometimes while running. Is it any hardware problem, or just about to deal with some software troubleshooting?
Can anyone give any suggestion? Waiting for reply.

HDMI output not working on HP Pavilion 15
Hi guys, i am new here on HP Forum.
My problems started when i got my new laptop and i HATED windows 8.
So a friend of mine had a disc with Windows 7 on it.
After the installation nothing worked, Not wlan, USB, HDMI and so on,
I serched for days for new drivers and found the most of them on HPs site.
But i have not been abled to find any working driver for my HDMI output.
Can you guys help me with that?

FCN F4 not working
My FCN F4 was working and stopped after we had the computer turned off for a week. Am using a HDMI to connect to a Panasonic Display.
Getting a message showing a monitor with a green arrow pointing to another monitor (not sure what that means). It easily toggled before.
Tried resetting the keyboard, but was told am on the lasted version.
Appreciate any insight...

I need a driver for AMD graphics card
Hi
I have a video card in a laptop model : AMD Mobility Radeon HD 6370
And I'm quite sure of it
Now I installed Windus 7 and I can not find it driver
The driver found Within HP website does not fit my model. Is suitable only for model "Radeon HD 6940" or "Radeon HD 7470m"
I tried to install a lot of drivers and nothing fits right...

hi.
upon start, almost half of the screen will be dim, and white. so i restart the laptop and it gets back to normal.
but sometimes some horizontal lines will appear across the screen. Like this:

Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered
Hi,
I get this error every few hours in the last days.
I tried to reinstall the AMD driver but I keep getting this error.
I have Radeon hd 6770m display adepter

this never happen until now.

lcd display
Hello
i have a problem with my hp g6 pavillion 1310ee laptop
The problem started some 3 months back when tilting the would give flicker stuck screen
so we adapted to tilt the screen to give proper display.
then it started to detiorate. I observed that, on pressing the "1inch right to the 'hp' sign on the bezel the screen would display properly.
And the external display was alright even under display load(hd movies)
the warranty peroid was over already, still i sent it to hp service where they said to replace the whole lcd.
i know that the lcd is fine because just a little pressure on the bezel is giving me a proper display.
i opened the lcd panel checked for any faulty connections( none found)
one peculiar thing i observer was that when the pressure that was applied on the bezel(in default) made the lcd cable to touch the aluminium foil of the wifi antennae and show the proper display
i beleive the most probable cause would be problem in the inverter's .
but i need proper advice
