Did a windows upgrade...3 days later i decide to watch a blu ray..Box comes up and say the blu ray will not play on this device?  I have reinstalled.restored to factory setting and it still will not work. Please help.

I have a HP DV6 2173cl, in which it has the NVIDIA GeForce G 105M graphics card. I believe the card is on its last legs as it will cause my screen to spaz out and go all pixeled and disorted when doing anything other than sitting at home screen. I have now disabled the graphics card under "device manger" so i can use this labtop long enough to find a fix.  I know the graphics card are probably intergrated into the mother board on this modeal, so i would be looking at replacing the entire motherboard. So, my questions are?

1.Where to begin finding a motherboard for this labtop?

2. Could i replace this myself? (i have replaced numerous harddrives and disk drives, never a motherboard)

3. Is an upgrade possible here?

Trying to install this as I keep on getting blue screen of death when I run some videos in browser tabs, or try to watch Virgin Media Anytime.

My laptop does have dual graphics, depending on battery or mains.......any ideas?

Presume this is the right driver, and I have the wrong driver thus the blue screen of death..........needing to use other devices for videos, and really doing my head in.

I purchased this product from USA. Its screen was damaged last month. I want to get the screen replaced.
Now the solution being provided by HP india is we can't help you out.
Method tried by me - going to customer care centre, their solution - call customer care number, first register a complain.
Calling on customer care number - After being transffered from one agent to another i am being told that HP india cannot help. i.e. My laptop cannot be repaired.
When i ask for an email ID where i can get this reponse in written, then my call is disconnected.
In short no support or services by HP and the most helpless response from agent.
please let me know a channel from where i can get my laptop fixed.

I was recording video/audio for a project using Cyberlink YouCam, and it was working fine for a couple minutes. However, when I pressed 'record' about five minutes into it, a message window popped up saying, 'CyberLink YouCam cannot connect to your webcam [HP Truevision HD]. Try using another capture device within settings, or close any application that may be using this webcam.' I verified that no other application was using the webcam. I also checked the hardware manager that it was enabled and working properly. This is the same for any other application that uses the webcam. Please Help!

i have reinstalled windows again on my HP g72-a12sd laptop to make it a bit faster.

but after that i cant seem to get  a signal out of the HDMI port to a external TV display.
With my old windows insallation ik have got it to work without any problems. 
I allready tried this sulution found on the HP forum , no luck.

I dont have luck with those to conect to my 2nd hdmi screen. 
so i tried the grapics drivers from the intel driver utilitytool and the AMD website. 
same problem with those.
Even tried some 3th party drivers.
in device maneger are al the drivers up to date. 

after this i tried to reinstall windows again with a other ISO.
Still same problems. 
I can still conect to a external dispay with VGA.
And it does say i have the fallowing about my external display's.
-mobile display .
-avlibale display on : Intel (r) HD grapics .(but i can't use it)
-diplay device on VGA.

i have tried a lot . i want to try older intel HD grapics but i cant seem to find them.
so i really hope that u guys can help me out.

Hi,

The screen of the computer doesn´t work, it appears black after I switch on the computer.

If I connect a monitor using VGA port, I can work properly, but only using the external monitor. It doesn't depend on the screen configuration on Windows (external monitor / HP screen / both screens). 

What can I do?  Can I do some checks in order to find where is the problem?

I just purchased this new laptop and installed Windows 7..unfortunately I am not getting the video driver for this product. Not even in Hp's Drivers section..Feeling so helpless.. What I have is the standard vga driver now.. With this driver the picture quality is very poor...

Hi,

I have a HP ProBook 450 G2 (J5P14UT#ABA) Notebook PC. 

I would like to use the built-in VGA and HDMI ports to simultaneously drive two separate monitors. Is this possible? It seems like I can only use one or the other. Is my only option a port replicator?

I've got three brand new 820 G2s, one with Windows 8 and the other two run 8.1.  The two with 8.1 will occaisonally not output video through the VGA port.  I've tried the most recent drivers from HP and Intel, BIOS update, and using different monitors but nothing seems to help.

I'm trying to connect to my LG TV using Intel WiDi, and according to the spec of my laptop, this should be possible. 

I'm trying to install the WiDi software from Intel and its saying its not compatible.

I've checked on this link, and it does say WiDi is available.  I'm hoping as I only bought this laptop 7 months ago and if it doesn't have it, I feel a bit cheated by the supplier.

The link I viewed for spec was http://icecat.us/en/p/hp/f7t68ea/notebooks-0888182402719-17-j130ea-21031499.html as it's the only one that relates to WiDi.

Can anyone confirm if this is possible please.  I really need this feature.

Suddenly, video dispaly is scrambled displaying four poorly displayed desktops on boot up. However when connecetd to external monitor or TV, via HDMI port, display is normal. What could the problem be?

Computer was working, however after software installs and removals it seemed time to perform a reinstall of windows,

using hp factory provided system recovery dvd's for win 7 with service pack 1 that i bought with the computer, it all

seemed to go well however it would appear amd's ccc can't tell that the hd7850m is in the system and will not open,

the envy starts to the windows box and then goes black, but if you have wireless HP HDMI to HDMI Display Adapter

plugged in the tv will have the desktop but the computer is stiil black, the windows display control is set for a single

display, all drivers are updated to latest, hp support assistant says all is well, and i have read about switchable graphics

probelms but i have none of the controls that are written about, bios is up to the latest, and has nothing for switchable

graphics either, so the simple video driver problem is killing me,

I just received my new laptop and I turned it on and there was a nice bright single green dot that is very distracting. I have had the laptop on for about an hour and it has not gone away or gotten smaller. I did notice that the box it came in was a little scrunched up on one of the corners. I'm a little disapppointed since I had to wait for this for 2 weeks... What are my options at this point?

Two weeks ago, I purchased a HP Pavilion Notebook. During the first week of use, it worked completely fine. In the second week, I noticed the screen blacks out for just 1-2 seconds and it reappears. This will happen a few of times when the laptop is in use. For example, if I'm watching a movie that 2 hours long, the screen blacks out about 4-5 times throughout the movie. This does not only occur while watching movies, it happens whenever I'm using the laptop (ie. reading, assignments, Youtube). This problem occurs on the AC adapter as well as battery. 

I don't see why this should be happening as it is a brand new laptop.

La resolution des problemes de Microsoft concernant Materiel et Periferiques m'indique ceci :

Multifonction Device n'a pas de pilote     - Non corrige

Les modifications materielles peuvent ne pas avoir ete detectees    - Detecte

La recherche de mise a jour des pilotes ne donne rien. Quand je lance HP Support Assistance du notebook ils ne sont pas proposes, et le logiciel ne detecte pas qu'il il y a une erreur sur ce peripherique. Sur le site - tous les drivers.com - le driver propose n'est pas reconnu par le notebook.

Comment et ou puis-je obtenir les pilotes de ce periferique?

and please is there a way to downgrade the same system to windows 7, with all the necessary drivers
