For some reason, the HP support program will not update my video card drivers and I cannot use an HDMI cable to connect my DVD in my computer to my Samsung TV (not a smart TV). The program to download updated HP drivers is also not working to download drivers and goes in an endless spin and never identifies the needed driver. Should I delete the support framework and reload it or use something else.

In the past, when I pressed F9, there would be a visual display of the volume number decreasing. Now I cannot see this function. How can I re-activate this function?

Video Memory Check Software Error
I need some help. My HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14 fell from my table and could no longer boot up the Operating System (MS Windows 8). I ran System Tune-Up where in the results are all Passed except for the Video Memory Check which is noted as Software Error.
Is there anyway to revive my disk and fully recover my files? Thank you so much for any support that will be extended here. More power to the group.

No support for my product?
Hello.
I've been trying to configure my laptop so I can use the switchable graphics feature since I have 2 GPUs. My Catalyst Control Center UI is not showing this feature. I tried 5 or 6 different guides to solve this, yet none successful. I came to the conclusion that I need to update my GPU drivers from HP's site, which I can't find.
No GPU drivers? Why is that and where can I find them?
My question's next part, I tried updating BIOS with the update in given link, still no Dynamic-Fixed choice. I tried downloading older AMD drivers, still no switchable graphics in CCC. What do I have to do in order to see this feature?

So I did not update that BIOS driver, I updated the one given in my product's page. But I used switchable graphics back in Windows 7. So what may be my problem?

low visability on laptop screen
Hi
I've tried various solutions in trying to get my screen back to the originsl settings but alas no success, my my screen seem to auto change when i down loaded media player and attempted to install it , the charms in start are all dark . the desktop icon is black and white , the only visible text on the dialogue boxes are the headline the remaining text is only visible when i run the curser over them yet when i go to the programmes in control panel the icons are visible but the text does not appear, how do i solve this issue pleass.

targus monitor
I just recieved my HP Spectre and have it hooked up to a Targus docking station. I have two addition monitors hooked into the docking station, one through the regular port and one through a USB port, however, my screen only extends to the USB ported monitor. How do I get it to the second montior so that along with the laptop monitor I will have two other montiors?

My screen on my HD Pavilion G Series keeps dimming
My screen keeps dimming for no readon. I have checked your site and all suggested the "AMD" must be installed or updated, i checked my system and the AMD Radeon HD 6520 G it stated this was already up to date and working properly. ANy idea why this keeps happening out of nowhere? This is the thirs computer we have bought from HP that has not been a pleasant experience.

Screen flashing on/off on brand new HP Spectre x360 - 13-4005dx
I just got a new HP Spectre x360 - 13-4005dx and it works quite well EXCEPT that the screen regular goes black for a moment and then flashes back on. Typically black for a fraction of a second--maybe a second or two at most.
HUGELY FRUSTRATING.
I have gone through and updated all of the drivers. Any idea?

Blank screen
Bought it from a computer retail store since 9th March 2015. Have been getting blank screen while surfing the internet or streaming videos online. When I tried connecting to external display the screen is still black but backlit keyboard is still on. Tried tapping on any button but still won't turn on so I tried force shut down and restart again. The problem still occur. I sent my laptop to the local Hp customer service for a week and they said there is no problem. And they keep saying that they did their checks and all. After reviewing other Hp forums on blank screen issues, I decided to post in my question here again. Should it be a hardware problem (motherboard) or is there customer service issues? Thank you.

HP Pavilion G6 1006sh external display doesn't work with Windows 8.1
Hi All,
After performing a clean install of Windows 8.1 Professional on my Pavilion G6 1006sh I can not use my external Samsung monitor connected on HDMI port.
The windows install went smoothly without any issues the OS had builtin drives for all of the devices. So there is no unknown hardware in device manager there is sound, wifi, LAN, etc. As for video card I can see two different devices. There is a Generic Windows VGA and there is an AMD Radeon HD 7400M installed. The AMD Catalyst software was installed successfully. In windows graphic properties I can choose from two different video outputs, one is the General Windows VGA the other one is the Radeon. However windows detects monitor connected only on General VGA (which is the inbuilt notebook display) and nothing on Radeon so I can not use my external monitor.
Of course I tried to restart laptop / monitor many times, unplug / plug HDMI cable but no success. When I plug HDMI cable into laptop the monitor displays a message that it is connected but there is no incoming signal. The HDMI port both on monitor and laptop is working I used the same configuration with Windows 7 x64 Professional without any issues. It is only the operating system that changed.
I tried to remove the General VGA device in order to force using Radeon but after restarting there was nothing displayed on the screen, I couldn't see anything neither on inbuilt nor on external monitor so I had to restore a previously saved system configuration.
I tired to install the latest graphic driver to Radeon downloaded from AMD site but Windows crashed and restarted during the install process.
Please help me with this issue or make a statement that this version of Windows is not supported on this machine so I have to revert the previous system.

RAM: 2x4 GB
OS: Windows 8.1 Professional x64 (HUN)
OS drivers: installed and updated automatically by windows
Antivirus: Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1
