No Sound on HDMI connection

$

I have an HP Pavilion dv6 notebook with a Window 7 64bit OS. I have been struggling for a while now to watch movies from my laptop on my TV using HDMI connection. When I connect the two the picture shows on the tv no problem but it has no sound. I have read similar experiences on the forum but every situation seems to be unique on different types of notebook used. When I check my Playback devices I only have 3 devices available, i) Speakers and dual headphones, ii) Independent dual headphones, and iii) SPDIF (Digital out via HP dock). It seems to me there is no specific HDMI device like people have been saying on this forum. I hace right clicked to show both hidden and disconnected devices, no luck. What am i doing wrong, this is so frustrating. Please help!

Unable to view the driver for HP Envy K110TX

I got a new laptop just today - HP Envy 15 K110TX - which has touch screen (as mentioned in the speifications). But the touch screen does not work. Upon looking into he driver setup, i was unable to find the driver for the touch screen. The touchpad works fine though. I was unable to identify the Tablet PC Settings in Control Panel.

Can someone let me know whether the driver for the touch screen should be pre-installed or should i install the same? If I need to install the driver, can you let me know where i can find the same? As i searched in the HP website (link) for the driver upgrade, but was unable to find any such driver for my laptop.

2-locate "Rilevamento Hardware Shell" (thai is the italian name of the service)
-stop the service
-start the service (better than restart)
-open YouCam5
your webcam will be recognized

Blank screen

Hi,
I have a laptop that sometimes the screen comes totally blank and sometimes don't.
I changed the screen, the cable and nothing worked. I notice that moving the laptop or pressing the side where the cable is connected, the screen comes blank (white), I'm assuming that the connection on the motherboard is the problem.
Is it possible to fix this issue? Or definitively change the motherboard?
I don't want to waste more money without get it fixed.
Thanks!

Dear Hp Support Team,

I want to know what is the display maximum resolution.

At this moment I am only allowed 1600x900 and I would really like to increase the resolution.

Can this be solved by updating the drivers?

Thank you

HP EliteBook boots but screen stays blank

$

Hi.

I got a problem with my EliteBook - it boots (I hear the sound of Windows coming up), but the screen stays black from the moment I press the power button (it lights up, just doesn't show anything). I can even play with the brightness of the screen after windows is booted (I see the light goes up or down when I play with it), but it stays that way.

I tried the method of pulling out the battery and then holding down the power button for 60 seconds, and powering the laptop with only power adapter (no battery) at first, but it doesn't work. Also I tried the method of holding down the windows key + B key and then powering up the laptop but still not luck.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
