Hi,

 

I am in curiosity of how I can turn off adaptive brightness display for external mode.

I have already turned it off from Power Options in Control Panel. At first, this did not work alone to turn adaptive brightness off so I also disabled Display Power Saving Technology for battery modefrom Intel Graphics Control Panel.

 

This works like a charm for battery modebut adaptive display is still active when on external power and I could not find an option to disable it in Intel Graphics Control Panel, there isn't Display Power Saving Technology for external power.

So, how can I stop adaptive brightness for AC power before I go blind of the abrupt changes in brightness when I'm plugged in to the wall?

 

Any help is appriciated.

I am trying to install the video driver for my old Presario V2000. I have tried various websites including HP and Compaq but nothing. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The following info might be useful:

 

Compaq Presario V2000

AMD Turion(tm) 64 Mobile Technology ML-37

2004 or 2005 model

 

Driver should support widescreen resolution.

 

My display adapter ID is:

Hi

 

Just brought myself a HP Omen 15-5010TX and installed Counter Strike GO last night and it ran fine so today I purchased Battlefield 4 and loaded it up and it runs at about 5fps once ingame. Ive even lowered all the settings down to low and it still runs at about 5 fps and completely unplayable. Ive installed all the latest drivers and bios and it makes no difference, considering this is meant to be a gaming laptop and it appears to have decent specs i dont understand what the problem is. Can someone help please

Every time I go onto Youtube I get the pictures but when I press to play something the screen goes green and I only have the sound.   I am confused how to fix the problem.

I just bought this laptop very lightly used a few days ago.  It had a clean recovery of Windows when I picked it up and I spent a couple of days updating and getting everything to play well together (Leap Motion, fingerprint sensor, etc.)  I updated absolutely everything I could to the newest drivers and finally sat down to play some games.

 

Here's where my trouble started.  I installed Skyrim and Portal 1.  I initially set the graphics properties to high, since that was the recommended setting, and tried to play.  The games booted fast and the graphics were stunning.  I played for about ten minutes and the video began to lag and I could hear lag in the audio as well.  I shut down, restarted, and the same thing.  I set the graphics quality to low on both games and still the same issue.

 

I have read that this is commonly caused by overheating, so I inspected the cooling fans and vents and both are clean.  I also confirmed all fans are working.  I also read that this can be solved by updating the bios.  I have tried this several times via HP Support Assistant and have yet to succeed.  It downloads, installs, flashes, reboots, the recovers to the old version.  Very frustrating.

 

I purchased this unit as a desktop replacement that I am hoping to use for moderate gaming.  I really hope someone can help me.

Intel Core i7-4702MQ @ 2.20Ghz

16GB Ram

NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2GB

I am running it off of AC power, using the NVIDIA card exclusively, and have every setting I can find set to High Performance.

Good morning i am ravi ,i am having a frequent occuring problems like video or image lag and even there's a bit distrubance in the speaker of my left hand side as facing towords the screen . While watching movies or videos there is unclear voice some kind of distrubance and this occuring frequently (the i.e mentioned ) . please help me to verify these problems

I have an HP Pavilion dv9420us. I had a problem with it. It had a black screen and when trying to power on, it shut down and tried restarting a few times and then quit. There were no sounds. I had replaced the mother board, cooling fan and heat sink. Now, it turns on with the same black screen, but now it beeps a few times. Can it be the AMD? It has the AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 2.2 GHz Dual-Core . Also, can you upgrade that AMD? One more thing to add. When the issues began, the system was working, it went into sleep mode. When I tried bringing the screen back up from the sleep mode, it would not come back up. That is when and how the issues began. We tried the hard reset, memory check and HDD check before replacing the mother board, fan and heat sink.

I have been reading posts on this problem for about an hour now. First thing I noticed, no one has a dv7-6163us. Second, everyone has been able to get to the AMD Catalyst software. Now I'm not able to do this, I downloaded it, but it doesn't seem to completely install. I get stuff like this 

 

But after I finish the install I'm not even sure if it worked. or what I am supposed to do now. I'm asking stuff like; Does it switch automatically? Is there something I need to download now? Do I have to do something to activate it now? What am I supposed to do now?

Laptop comes on goes to login. Swipe my finger it cyclyes throught then goes blank with pointer. Ran test extensive everything passed. Read only 3.8g of memory of eight in both slots. Could the memory be my issue. If it what I replace it or them with?

Task manager is the last one on list. Click, screen is blank same symbols, expanded box. Click bottom left opens box to more symbols.

Model no. G42-23OUS went to turn on, screen remained blank as did monitor connected to it. Have used this configuration for several years and this is the first time. Tried tapping Esc button on start up. Tried holding Ct alt del on start up. Tried to start up without battery plugged in.

I got this laptop in 2012 so its fairly new but I am not very tech savvy so I've never really attempted to use the hdmi output until now. When I finally decided to go out and buy an hdmi cable and plug it into the tv from my laptop nothing happened. I know it isn't the cable because it works on other devices so it seems to be an issue with the actual laptop itself. Nothing transfers over to the tv screen even though I know i am on the correct input or video source. Could there be something wrong with the laptop or maybe it's missing drivers or something for the hdmi port? If so could someone please walk me through how to correct this please? Thank you

Hello.

I have a dv7-7015ca laptop which has a GT 630M graphics card and the integrated 4000 card.

After a while of playing games my GT 630M will stop working entirely. I know this because I go from  120 FPS to 7-30 FPS. 
I also know because when I go into device manager and disable my integrated 4000, the laptop goes black, and I have to restart. When I restart, It's running in very basic 

Now I think this isn't hardware related because when I reformat my laptop, the graphics card works perfectly fine, for around 2 weeks, then I have to reformat again in order to have it functioning properly.

Any idea's? I'm sick of reformatting.

The color on my HP Pavillion 15 Notebook PC appears washed out. In addition, despite trying several settings on the "clear type", my type seems to be fuzzy nd difficult to read. I've already tried adjusting the color on the advanced settings to no avail. As an example, if there is a box surrounding this post area, I cannot see it. I'm really frustrated and ready to return this after fighting with it for over a month.

I wiped my screen and keyboard with a damp cloth now every time the Internet browser is launched I get a shaking/flickering screen that jumps all over and while doing this it enlarges, scrolls like it's possessed. Looking for maybe a solution to this; maybe I touched a keyboard key combination that is making it do this?

Can I get its latest Intel (R) HD 3000 and Radeon (TM) HD 6630M graphics driver? cos Intel latest driver for HD 3000 with driver date: 1/30/2015 and driver version: 9.17.10.4101 is available. But couldn't find it for the amd switchable graphics which the old one contain the driver for Intel HD 3000 with driver date: 8/15/2012 and driver version: 9.0.0.0. And its Radeon HD 6630M has the same date and version number. Is there a latest driver for it? I need the link. Thanks.
