Hello,

after a reinstalltion of windows 7 on my HP Pavilion 55SG the Webcam (HP TrueVision HD) is not visible in the device manager. I´ve searched for drivers of it but on the hp page there are none.

I have already installed cyberlinks youcam, but it says there is no webcam on my pc.

Is there any key combination to activate the webcam?

External ASUS VE228H not recognised by Win 8.1 on new HP Envy 17 Notebook

Hi, I'm new to the forum so apologise in advance if I'm a little technically incompetent. I have viewed other similar posts on this forum but none seem to have the same specific issue that I'm facing.

I have just bought a new HP Envy 17 and am attempting to connect two external ASUS VE228H monitors, one via a direct HDMI cable and the second to a USB port via a UV +39.

Cables and monitors all work fine on another laptop but the new computer does not recognise the two monitors at all. The Intel(R) HD Graphics driver is up to date, as is windows but still in the Screen Resolution area, they do not appear. I have also been through the process of uninstalling, cleaning (via Displaylinks 'Cleaning Tool') and re-installing the Displaylink driver but still not luck.

Via BIOS, I have also tried to (each separately) - 1) Enable Legacy Support 2) Disable Secure Boot and 3) Reset to Default settings all with monitors plugged in and powered on. Unfortunately still no luck. I also checked for any External Monitor settings in BIOS and didn't see any.

Extremely frustrating! Please could someone help?

Much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Laptop turns on, but blank screen (backlight on)

Hello, I've had this laptop for over 3 years and I have had display issues in the past (that have since been resolved). The problem I have now is that I was forced to restart my laptop and upon turning it back on, I have not been able to get past a black screen. The power is on, the fan is running and there are noises from the cd drive but there is just a blank screen. The backlight is on. I have tried to remove the battery and waited an extended period of time before trying again, but nothing is working.

Is there some fix to this issue?

Thanks

6735s compatible screen

Hi

I am looking for a compatible screen for my HP 6735s business notebook, purchased in 2008.

The screen has recently developed a fault where the internal display flickers, there are lines missing, and it appears thtat the display has shifted downward - when I connect an external monitor there are no problems, and so I beleive the problem to be with the screen panel, not the integrated graphics card.

I have attempted to obtain a replacement screen for the laptop - my original screen part number (stamped on the metal frame of the screen) is 3110T-0244a. I bought another screen from ebay described as being from a HP Compaq 6735s laptop, but it didn't display properly - it was part number ltn154at07-002 (different problem with the display - screen split horziontaly and rolling)

My query is - can anyone point me in the direction of a compatible replacement screen for this old workhorse of a laptop?

Thanks in advance

I bought a couple of days ago an HP ProBook 450 G2 whit Intel® Core™ i7-4510U 2.00GHz, 8GB, 1TB, AMD Radeon R5 M255 2GB and I`m having a really serious problem with the dedicated video card.

I`m unable to install the AMD Radeon R5 M255 video card drivers. I keep getting a yellowish triangle. See attached images.

I tried with HP Support Assistant, with HP SoftPaq Download Manager, from AMD website I downloaded the latest Catalyst Control Center driver. Uninstalled the driver, installed it automatically with wizard and it keeps showing the triangle.

Just so you know I`m quite knowledged in the IT domain, but this is out of my league. I want to know if its a compatibility issue between the onboard and the dedicated ( AMD Radeon ) video cards or there isn`t a compatible driver for Windows 8.1 x64.

Did anyone have a similar issue? Is it fixable?

Thank you

Brand new right out of the box and doesn't seem to have the power to operate Netflix or actually anything that has video.  Also takes a long time to display any service I require.  Very disappointed but I'm sure there is a fix to this.
Thank you

Laptop Touchscreen does not function Windows 7 64 bit

$

I have owned several HP laptops over the years yet find HP's lack of support very troubling.

I purchased this laptop brand new in April 2014 and when I called HP Support the tech told me the warranty is expired!

I am currently very frustrated with the touchscreen and the outcome of this issue will make or break my future HP Purchases so I hope this can be resolved without great frustration.

I own an HP Pavilion Touch 14 Notebook PC Model #14-n028La and it came preinstalled with Windows 8.  LIke most of the world I hate Windows 8 so I installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit. Everything worked without an issue EXCEPT for the Touchscreen. At the time there was a help forum article that explained what the issue was and which drivers were needed to resolve the Touchscreen issue and it worked perfectly. I can no longer find that HP Help Article and have recently re-installed Windows 7 64 bit. I have once again lost all Touch Screen functionality.

I need to know how to make the touchscreen work in Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.

So when i booted up my computer one day the screen was red wherever black pixels were supposed to be so i opened up the laptop, because i thought it was a connection to motherboard problem so i disconnected all the wires and the flat wires out of the  motherboard and pluged them all bck in thier original locations then when i booted the comp it would light up but there was no starting windows thing it was just black. I think it might be because when i pluged them back in one of them might have not gone in correctly.
