Recently I have installed third party software’s on the laptop and the programs are not being displayed properly. E.g. in google chrome the address bar is very small, some text is blurry. I can change the webpages size as I can easily zoom in and out the tabs/bookmarks menu is very small. Other applications got the same problem as the top menu bars are very small. I have tried to change my screen resolution/display settings but it not helped.
I'm so frustrated. I got a new HP laptop and have had problems since day one.
I was getting a green screen when playing videos. Came here to this site and saw that I should install the adobe flash uninstaller and then reinstall adobe flash.
Tried it once and it worked for a couple of days. Came back today and decided to uninstall adobe flash again and reinstall. I uninstalled and now it won't let me reinstall because it states that this computer came with adobe already installed.
It takes me to their test page and says I already have it installed. BUT I DON'T and it doesn't work.
Now what do I do, I'm about to throw this laptop in the river. Please help.

I just installed Windows 7 and trying to connect my laptop to my TV. However, when I go to Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Connect to an external display, I cannot see the second monitor. (Have used HDMI cable to connect to TV monitor).

Having green screen 3 times in a row. What to do?
my computer will not play dvd's at all. i put the dvd in the drive and it will recognise that there is a dvd in there but it will not play even it i tell it to manualy. not sure what to do here.
My display driver crashes often, gives me the blue screen, and then restarts. I have already reinstalled the display drivers for my display driver. What else can I do to fix this problem???
My graphic cards are ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 series and ATI Radeon HD 7400M serieson a HP Pavilion G6 with OS Windows 8.1. I have installed Catalyst softwear but it didn't install graphic cards drivers. After instalation, both graphic cards appear in the Diplay adapter section with exclamation marks. I have tried to update driver but the answer was that the most recent drivers are already installed. AMD site provide drivers that do not work in my configuration. Pleas help!

During the last year I have been able to play Battlefield 3 and 4 on fairly low resolution and graphics setting obtaining an average fps of 50 (BF3 1366*768 on low settings) and 30-40 (BF4 1280*768 on Low settings) but as of a few days ago playing BF4 the frame rate would drop down to below 10 for a short period of time (30-40 secs) before going back to the normal 30-40 fps. I have fully reinstalled Windows 8.1 and the latest drivers from the HP website for this product but the drop in framerate still happens sporadically. I have also played with some of the catalyst settings and Resolution Scale in BF4 and have in some cases gained framerate upto 60fps in low graphic areas but there is still a sporadic drop in framerate every now and again. I fully realise that this graphics cards is low end spec for gaming but as said, over the previous year I have had no problem until now. My first thought was perhaps a dirty fan but have blasted it with an air canister and checked the GPU temps etc and everything appears to be within normal specs. As the notebook is still under guarantee until March I wanted to know if there was anything else I could try before sending it back (RMA) as I can only assume there is now some kind of fault with the grahics card.

I just bought the HP ENVY 17-j180ca Notebook PC. I'm trying to calibrate my monitor for photograph editing. The software I'm using to calibrate the monitor with asked two questions I don't have the answers to...
1. Is the Gamut normal or wide?
2. Is the monitor backlit with Fluorescent CCFL, white LED or RGB LED?
Please help! I can't find this information.

So I have an HDMI cord. (two of them actually) Farely NEW. Have plugged in to TV several times over the last 6 months or so to see my laptop screen on my TV(s). All of a sudden it will not read anymore from my laptop to my TV. I plug it in, it reads on my tv "NO VIDEO SIGNAL". What could this possibly be? And how do I fix this problem? I just want to be able to watch NETFLIX again on my TV, via my HP notebook laptop. Yes I have tried both different HDMI cords and yes I have tried all three of my TV's and all their different HDMI inputs. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I have HP Spectre XT 13-2150nr, and all off a sudden, the display flickers....this happens only once logged onto WIndows...the logon screen does not flicker....I tried several things but to no avail. The issue is similar to image 16 listed on the link below...

I have been having this problem with the laptop for some months now which is to displayan error message stating that the amd display adapter stopped working and has recovered. Usually when this happens there is much flickering of the multiple displays that I use with the computer. Many times I will recieve a BSOD instead with the error message atikmdag.sys displayed. I am running the most recent driver from the HP site that has the driver for the both the Intel HD graphics and the Amd graphics with the updated BIOS that allows you to change the switchable graphics to fixed from dynamic. This allows you to choose which graphics solution to use by selecting that graphics solution using the catalyst control center. Is there a solution to this issue as it is quite inconveinient when it sporadically happens primarily on boot. Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm using a 14-r002ej laptop which I bought about 3 months ago.
It all worked fine until earlier today, when weird color disruptions started appearing, sometimes just blurring text and sometimes green lines and dots appear here and there on colorful pictures.
The laptop was never physically damaged nor the screen, and the stains aren't perminent on one place.
What could be the problem, as it happened all suddenly?
