I want to play a DVD on Windows media player (My computer's system is Windows7).
The player can play the DVD if I open it in media player's homepage.
But if I want to play the DVD directly.(Open it in My computer page, like the picture below)

That's all about my question. I don't understand why. Maybe this is a boring question but I'm a person who want to do perfect. So please help me.

I just installed windows 8 on my notebook, but my AMD Radeon HD 6490M doesn't work because, since now, don't exist any driver for this o.s., and it is not the only problem. I would like to know if drivers based on windows 8 for this notebook will exist or if this pc won't be supported for windows 8. Thanks

I have a HPEliteBook8770wworkstation, equippedwithadisplay port, anAMD FirePro4000mgraphics card and windows 7.
Now I got adisplay->HDMIadapter and I want to connect my laptopto mysamsungsmarttvue40es6100.
I know I can't just extend the display with the Windows + P combination. So I wanted to force to connect with the displayport, but there is no such option. Which i find very weird :S

I have a black screen after windows start.i dont know what to do.... i have hp G72. I tried to disable all programs from Msconfig.Nothing happens.I can only log in from Safe mode.
my display is having more then 7 bright spots and a vertical line....... so its getting hard for me while working .....so please solve this asap.
when plugging in a HDMI cable from my Pavillion G series laptop to my tv it either doesn't connect at all, shuts down the laptop, or removing the HDMI cause the laptop to shut down. please help.
I've received notifications from HP about Cyberlink being a risk to my computer. What is Cyberlink & how can it affect my computer. I don't remember installing it, so where did it come from?
Environment:
Any time I access ANYTHING to do with recording, such as going to the windows sounds interface and clicking on the recording tab, the screen on ONE of the Display Ports flickers to the point of being unusable.
It shows flashing thin 1 or 2- pixels white lines in random patterns on the screen, then the entire display shuts off. It turns back on and looks fine for 2 seconds, then does it again until I click on the Playback, Sounds, or Communications tab. This happens with ANY access to "recording" from any app including my Skype call recorder or my Screencast recorder.
This did not happen before I upgraded to the 1920x1200 ZR2440w monitors, which I did after confirming with HP support that the Envy 17-3070NR would indeed support 1920x1200 resolution if I used display port connections.
The problem continues if I swap monitors, so it is not a monitor issue.
The problem continues if I disconnect/disable the 3rd monitor on HDMI, in fact the cycle happens even faster with that display disconnected.
This looks very much like an old-school video memory corruption issue like you would have back in 1996 on a Windows XP computer with crappy video cards and/or poorly written video drivers. If I had to guess I would say BIOS and/or AMD drivers need work.
Has any else seen this problem?
Any clues how to fix this besides "don't use 3 monitors" or "don't record screen casts"?

I have a laptop model HP Pavalian DV6500 whose screen split into 6. it was irritating.
I then have given it for repair and the technician charged me INR2000 claiming that the video IC has blown and needs a replacement.
barely 4 weeks after the repair the laptop again has split its screen to 6.
HP, help me to solve this problem.

I have a 32-bit hp pavilion dv6871us and my operating system is vista home premium. My problem is the Nvidia geforce 8400m gs graphics card. When i have it enabled and i turn on the computer the screen spazzes out right before it even gets to the login screen. It goes black and then there are stripes all over the screen. After a while the computer restarts itself but it just goes back to that same screen. Ive reinstalled the driver 100 times and even the operating system a bunch but it hasnt made a difference. The only way for me to use the computer is to have it disabled. Anyone know how i can fix this? I heard a lot of people have this same problem with this graphics card but i cant find a solution.
On my Hp Mini 110, my screen has gotton very dim, similar to an inverter going out in a full size laptop.
When I shine a flash light on it, it can barely be seen. When I connect it to an external monitor I get
nothing. Everything seems to be powering up ok ie. fan, wlan, etc. Do you have any ideas of what
it might be?

A few months ago, I bought an HP Envy m6, supposedly with two GPUs, the Intel HD Graphics 4000 and the Radeon HD 7670M. After a number of display problems, I'm not 100% sure that my notebook is using the correct when playing games (which they've handled pretty well). This is more a question of how I go about checking this (not being the most knowledgeable person on the matter).
When I open up Device Manager, I see both GPUs in the display section - all good there. However, when I right click on my desktop background and select configure switchable graphics, I only get the option of assigning Power Saving or High Performance modes.
I would be ok with this if I could confirm that the High Performance mode does indeed use the Radeon HD adapter. I'm not sure about this, as right clicking on the system tray icon for the Catalyst Control Centre displays only the Intel GPU appears, and dxdiag only shows the Intel adapter in the display settings.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?
