I have a minor problem... for some reason the on screen display meter for my volume when pressing on the keyboard suddenly disappeared, I would like to get this back.
I found this thread in the forum http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/how-do-i-get-the-volume-on-screen-display-meter-back/td-p/1508511 which another was having the same problem I'm having. The only difference is that I'm using HP Pavilion G7 with Windows 7.

my usb port is not working properly
I need my laptop to have a three screen display output. Primary Notebook, two external monitors secondary.
I can get this configuration to work using a USB dsiplay link adapater (UGA-2K-A). Other monitors on docking station either through VGA or DVI.
But in this configuration which ever is plugged in via usb I have a red/pink hue on any whites on screen. Odd as this dosent show up on screenshots??

Help, didn't use built-in cam for quite a long while already (approximately 2months?) and today when I launch "camera" app it keep flashing and its working but in a constant flashing screen and for awhile later no more than 5 seconds it shows "connect to camera" and after that "there's a problem with your camera".
So I ran troubleshooting for devices, not working. Did a uninstall to Hp TrueVision HD webcam driver and rebooted laptop but still showing the same problem.
Only difference now is that I could no longer see the constant flashing screen which able to see image *blink blink*. So then I tried out YouCam app to check whether is the app that cause this but again no images were able to be seen (it did prompt to me to use Hp TrueVision HD cam).
I have HP Envy dv7-7212nr. It has Intel HD graphics 4000 which is shown in dxdiag and a GT 650M.
I have VGA and also HDMI cables.
How do I set it so that GT 650M is the main one and has it shown on dxdiag?
Is that setup to be done in BIOS or can I do it on the desktop? If so, how?

Hi, i bought a HP dv6-6150sl, I installed all driver`s from the support website (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5144860#N758).
My question is how can i update my graphics drivers? Because from intel`s "automatic Intel Driver Update Utility" i have installed a new update for Intel`s HD3000 series integrated graphic processor which is on my notebook, after doing this i have problems whith the AMD driver: after updateing the Intel`s driver a massage acourse saing that "my AMD driver is not supported, i have to instal new or to activate my primary graphic processor from the device manager" or something like that... i don`t remember, because i updated the AMD driver from their site (14-4-mobility-win7-win8-win8.1-64-dd-ccc-whql) after installing it everything is fine except the fact that the option "switchable graphics" no longer acourse, only powerplay, after updating whith the beta drivers (amd-catalyst-14.6-beta-v1.0-windows-may23), everything stays the same, even the option in desktop right click switchable grapfics is gone after updating with the beta. I have to mentiont that after updating this the beta driver, windows updated the AMD driver`s whith a driver released in 2011.
I whant to know a way to update the graphics drivers on my laptop, i am using Win 7 pro 64bit.
I have recently brought a HP laptop, its got i5 core and a RADEON graphics card, and a beats stereo, the trouble is the TrueVision HD camera, it works with Skype, taking photos and recording videos, but it wont let me use the camera on anything online like Facebook calls and Digital chat sites. Any advice?

Suddenly, screen size of my laptop has been reduced to 3/4 of horizontal size, 1/3 of screen is totally blank.
The resolution in display settings is 1024 x 768. Aspect ration is full screen (no border).I didn't do any change in control panel>settings. Please advise how to resolve this issue.

I'm wondering how I can purchase a replacement digitizer/screen. I'm not sure if the digitizer is completely shot because it was working shortly after I broke it but the touch features started to freak out and now they dont work at all. so I assume I should buy the digitizer.

The second one is , my laptop has dedicated 2 GB graphics but whenever i go into screen resolation > Advance Option , the dedicated memory show 32MB .. !!!! Why is that ?? I installed the ATI driver and it shows the AGP in their system .

I found my laptops screen panel got craked.There is no damage to the glass screen. The outer plastic panel holding it got cracked.
Can that part alone be replaced.How much will it cost ?
My HP Zbook 15 contains two display adapters an Intel HD Graphics 4600 and a NVIDIA Quadro K1100M. When I undock my laptop it seems to use the Intel adapter (Intel HD Graphics icon in taskbar). I think this diplay adapter limits the selection of my displays resolutions. I would like to use a resolution of 1280x720 for presentations over the web.
Docked with monitors attached it uses the NVIDEA display adapter which offers a wide range of display resolutions.
Question: Is it possible undocked to either switch to the NVIDIA display adapter or add a display resolution of 1280x720?

I have an HP Split X2 with the full 1080 display and Windows 8.1. I am attempting to set up dual monitors for a home office through a Toshiba Dynadock provided from my office. The monitors have DVI, HDMI and VGA capability. The computer recognizes the keyboard and the mouse through the dynadock, but not the displays. One is connected via HDMI and the other DVI to the dyandock.

After upgrading my HP Envy (i7) to windows 8.1 I can no longer use the Cyberlink YouCam software.
Attempting to record a video results in a windows error message "HW encode" after which YouCam hangs.
I have reinstalled the software and followed instructions to go the devices menu and check for driver updates (current driver is up to date). Same problem still occuring
Any ideas?

I have just bought a Touchsmart 14-n055sa and I'm having problems with linking my laptop to my tv using the HDMI lead. When I choose the "duplicate" option in display settings, I get a message saying that it is unable to save my settings. I have contacted Microsoft who have told me that I need to download some drivers, but I'm not sure which drivers to download. Anyone got any ideas??
I have a HP dv7 Notebook 6101sa and whenI try to play a game on it a message pops up saying:Could find any compatible Direct3D Devices.
I opened up my dxdiag and I went ontp display and it said that my Direct 3D and Direct Accelleration were not availble. I have gone to device manager and updated my driver and restarted my laptop but no improvements are happening at all I have even clean rebooted my Laptop

I have a problem with my screens brightness.Its My HP 15-R006TU notebook.I purchased my notebook on may 31 and it came with DOS OS.So i formatted it windows7 64 bit OS.But now i am having some display problem.When i am switching over any window my brightness incresing slowly and again if i will move to any dark screen then it change slowly. When i connect charger it goes asusal.
for e.g:
Let us consider i am watching a video in some player.suddenly if i will move to my desktop screen the light will change slowly either increase (If bright)/dim slowly.This made me sad after purchased my new HP notebook :(
Kindly help me or suggest me what to do.
