Hello guys.

A few days ago I installed NVIDIA 337.88 graphics driver update. I feel that after installing it, my computer startup and shutdown have both slowed down. I am not totally sure about this, but I want to test if my computer slowed down because of this update.

Can someone instruct me as to how to uninstall this driver from my notebook.

I'm using HP Pavilion 15 n208-tx notebook, with NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M 2 GB graphics card.

Thank you.

I've recently bought a Asus 27" monitor capable of 2560x1440 resolution. My laptop couldn't go higher than 1920x1200 so i'm now looking for a laptop replacement. Will 8560w or other elitebooks with display port connectors do the job?

Pavilion G6-2235US - scrambled screen after at least 30 min of use.

Hi.

The basic product info:

P/N C2N50UA#ABA

OS: Win 8.1 x64

No error messages related to this issue.

No hardware or software changes since issue first occurred.

Troubleshooting performed: Looked for patches at HP and AMD. None found.

Connection method: Though it doesn't appear to effect this issue, wi-fi to router connected to cable modem.

Issue description: So one day, I'm going along, using my notebook as normal (la dee da dee da), when the graphics suddenly go all scrambled. As if someone just sent the horizontal and vertical displays off - substantially (if I had the faintest clue how to do a hardware screenshot of the screen, if such a thing were possible, I would). Shutting down and powering up again fixes the issue...Until it happens again. Doesn't matter what am I doing or have done during a session of use, doesn't matter how long I've been using the machine since last bootup (though it doesn't seem to happen immediately upon bootup, knock on wood - as noted in subj line, it seems to take at least 30 minutes), but when it comes there's no orderly shutting down the system - it's impossible to click anything (because it's hard to see where the cursor is), so the only solution is to shut it down via the power button, wait a minute, and power up again.

Machine is out of warranty (bought 12/2012), so this is kind of a "I fix it for free or I junk it" issue - and since I don't exactly have the money to pay for a new laptop, I'd prefer to fix it.

My instinct says it's a hardware failure - the only error message I ever get on anything is the message during bootup telling me to replace my battery cause it's old; nothing comes up re the graphics card or anything related. Also, the fact that software seems to otherwise run normally when and while it happens.

However, I want to confirm/deny my instinct and see if there's anything I'm missing in terms of "can this thing be fixed" before I go hunting for a new machine.

(The shame of it is, this machine has lasted really well, with the only signs of wear and tear being that the letters have faded off the A and S keys on the keyboard, plus hair and stuff that's accumulated on the keyboard despite my best efforts at cleaning. 30 months is, however, not a sufficient run for a machine I was needing to last me 3 years at a minimum.)

AMD Radeon 7450M driver

Hello!

I've got a HP 2000-2d03sq bought in February this year with this mentioned GPU.

In February, I searched a lot to fix that issue: after StartUp saw a message from Catalyst "No AMD driver or the driver no work properly" and in Device Manager i've seen that message "Code 43:Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems" for AMD and Intel drivers and I saw this solution.

Now (2 days ago, exactely) the message appeared and same trouble in Device Manager. I've been reinstalling the driver all yesterday and I tried some tricks saw in the forums, but nothing.

Today, I've tried to Recover my system, but I don't have a past date.

Please help me, because I don't know what to do.

PS: Windows 8.1 @ 64bit

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M Problems Resolved with BIOS update or not ?

The most recent staff response I've seen on this issue was last year, saying to install F.26 Bios, but this option isnt available to me on the support page for my product. I believe F.29 is. She had mentioned that F.26 was tested and found to resolve the Error 43 issue with the card where the system didnt see it in use. http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/Nvidia-GeForce-650m-2GB-fried-graphics-card/td-p/2355197/highlight/true/page/2 Because of others horror stories when updating the BIOS, I wanted to be sure this is what I should do. My Windows Update has an optional update for the card as well but doesn't say what version. Does anyone know what should be done ?

I wondered if it was futile

OK, my notebooks screen is broken and I have been using a external monitor as my screen. I bought and used a program online that claimjed to speed up my notebook and install all the proper drivers and everyhting. The program requested that i reboot into safe mode and when I did it appears to me that my notebook is not recognizing my external monitor.

With this being explained, what are the step by step instructions with using just the keyboard and obviously being blind to get my notebook to recognize my external monitor.

I would also like to metion I am running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. NOT Windows 8.

I have check for the lastest drivers, and all of them are up to date.

I have checked AMD's site for the driver that would work for me,still no solution, even had to do a System Restore because I screwed with a few things.
