After about a minute, my screen goes black; moving the mouse or hitting a key brings it back. Any thoughts?

Black Screen
I've been having this problem for well over a yr. My screen goes black and there are no sounds. I bought this laptop in Oaklohoma. I'm in the military so it hard for me to just constanly run from place to place for help.

My screen keeps dimming automatically on a HP ENVY 17t-j100 Select Edition CTO Notebook
Firt off i have windows 8.1 and an Intel graphics card
i've already went through and changed the power setting brightness all the way up for the on battery and plugged in settings...but i've realized that if its running on battery if i go onto the internet if im on a page that has a dark background i will watch the screen dim down....and then if i then click odn something with a bright background after a few seconds of being on the page the screen brightens back up
can anyone please help me figure this out?

Pavilion TS 14 Sleekbook Windows 8 lock screen and touchpad unresponsive at power up
Hi everyone-
My Pavilion TS 14 Sleekbook running Windows 8 did two updates today that required restart for both. I don't know what the updates were, I have it set to autoload important updates. When I tried to "flip" my lock screen to enter my password to open, the screen did nothing but show energy waves around my fingertip. Used the keyboard to open to password page. Tried to pull up touch screen keyboard, nothing. Used regular keyboard to type in password and then the touchscreen works fine. Anybody have an idea what's going on?

elitebook 8440p dedicated card
Is it impossible to add a dedicated graphic card at least 1GB into Elitebook 8440p i5 m520 and with intel hd graphics 4500?
My guarantee is ended but i think it shouldnt work with kind of this problem.|
Im from Poland and i can do this upgrade in Polish HP department for normal payment.

Hello I got my computer for christmas and I really liked it, until I realized it excells at everything but the Graphics card, with 32 MB of video ram! How can I SAFELY replace the graphics card for my HP ENVY dv7-7255dx Notebook PC without damaging the motherboard? I am willing to put serious cash into this project, as long as it gets done. My hp dv6 2010eq is not workind!!! Display is black!!
I let my laptopn on sleep mode some hours and when i tried to turn it on ,the screen was black. i connected to another monitor and it's not working. I tool the battery off and pushed the power button for 30-60 sec and it's not working,i tried to go into bios and nothing.I can hear it working,but the volume,caps lock,num lock and wifi doesn't work. What seems to be the problem?

I have a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214 with a AMD Radoen HD 7450 ( 1920 x 1087) viodeo card. I keep getting can't display messages when I try to install PC Games. What vedio card would someone suggest. One of the games suggested NVIDIA 7300 Graphic. HELP !!

Black screen
I have a HPdv5 1235dx os is vista home premium. i replaced the screen and all i can see is with a flashlight against the screen . i tried to turn up the brightness but to no avail ... any help would be appreciated !!

How to increase the default graphic memory size of HD4600 on envy 15 jt100
I'd like to run Pro Evolution Soccer in my envy 15 jt100. However, the game checks the default graphic memory size and the default value is 32M, which is so small that the game just won't run even if the overall performance is enough for this game... Is there any way to increase the default graphic memory size?

Sceen wobble
Does anyone else have problems with a HP Pavilion g6 Notebook where the lower part of the screen wobbles?
I have had HP support staff on telephone remotely trying to sort it, even had my Notebnook taken away for repair yet the wobble is still there. I am getting fed up with downloading everything again after several reboots or whatever it is called now so would welcome any suggestions before from going back to support staff again.

I have a Pavillion 15-N097EA operating with windows 8, I have been told by 'Know How' (who dont!), to download video drivers from HP as I have issues with downloading photos and watching video clips etc - however it looks like the HP site is saying I cant because I have windows....... is this correct, how do I get round this?

Multiple resolutions for 2 displays
In my home office, my HP Pavilion 17 Notebook is connected to an external monitor via the HDMI port. The optimal resolution for the external monitor is 1280 x 1024, and the optimal resolution for notebook display is 1600 x 1900. Is there some method to set up different resolutions depending on which display is selected via the F4 key? For example, I want to select F4 "second screen only" and get resolution of 1280 x 1024, and then switch to F4 "PC screen only" and get resolution of 1600 x 1900. Can I do this without additional hardware?

(3) RS232 cable is used to connect HP computer with the Monitor. (4) It worked fine for many days and I was able to use the Computer in BOTH 'Computer Only' mode and /or in 'Extend' mode, using f4 or any other suitable settings.... [PROBLEM] ->> NOW COMPUTER DISPLAY WORKS 'ONLY' WITH MONITOR CABLE CONNECTED TO THE MONITOR (THE MONITOR MIGHT BE ON/OFF - BUT THE CABLE 'HAS' TO BE THERE TO CONNECT THE TWO!).
