"Display settings could not be saved" when selecting flipped landscape or flipped portrait mode
I get an error "Display settings could not be saved" (german win7 version),
when I try to select either of the flipped screen modes in Display - screen resolution
Also ctr-alt-left performs only one 90 rotation and does not rotate further.
I need the screen to rotate 270, how could I do this?

HP ENVY m6-1232sa switchable graphics and cannot update drivers issue
Hello, there are two issues here but I think they are both related. Firstly:
I cannot update my driver for the intel graphics card. I want the newest one but it keeps giving me the error that I do not meet the requirements (yes I downloaded it from the right page for my product)
Secondly:
AMD Catalyst control is not available is the message I get when I open up the AMD control center. However, this has never been available I just only had the time to fix these issues now. Futhermore, switchable graphics doesn't seem to work with some games or at all. It's just complex and I want to switch off the Intel card.

HP Pavilion G6 Screen going black then later resuming windows
I have had my HP Pavilion G6 for almost 2 years now. It has worked great no problems up until now. After being on for a few hours or so, The screens all go black. I am usually gaming and even with regular use the fan seems to run loud and after a few hours will become hot. I am not sure if it is an overheating problem or what. But after it comes back to life it resumes windows. I also usually have it always plugged in and use and external monitor with it. I am not sure if that is part of the problem.

HP G72 - Graphic Problem
Hi,
its hp G72 - M370 Core i3
After my work done i hibernate the notebook . and about an hour later i m back to my work but when i started it shows me nothing in display . screen is in black but it works in background . the system working but it does't show anything . after a while its show some lines that moving . i restarted but it show nothing .
plz Help , i have a lot project to done .

Unable to adjust screen brightness - Windows 8.1 - HP 2000-2b53CA
I am unable to adjust the screen brightness on my HP 2000-2b53CANotebook PC, either with the built in keyboard buttons or from the Windows 8 Charms menu.
I have the laptop updated to Windows 8.1 and have tried installing and uninstalling multiple different Intel video drivers, all direct from the HP Support page with no luck.
As the laptop is stuck at it's absolute maximum brightness, it's basically unasable without a third party app I found called "Desktop Lighter".
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I much prefer having the keyboard keys working to control my brightness.

Envy dv6z-7200 cto notebook dark screen
The screen isn't working on my laptop. I can see it very very faintly. It just isn't lighting up. How do I fix this? I tried the 60 second power button thing with the battery out. That did not work.
This laptop is only 13 months old. One month past warranty. It has hardly been used. I bought an ipad at the same time that I bought the laptop so I never really used this. Very very frustrating! I bought what I thought was a good laptop because I don't have money to throw around on repairs!!!

Why can't i install the AMD High-definition Graphics Driver on my Pavilion g4 notebook
Specs:
-HP Pavilion g4 Notebook PC
-Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit Service Pack 1
-Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.30Ghz
-4.00 GB RAM (2.45 GB usable)
hi, so i was updating my laptop through HP Support Assistant and for some reason the AMD HD Graphics Driver can't be installed. and the weird part is that HP can download it but can't install it. i've done this atleast 5 times already and i get the same result. please help me
P.S the AMD HD Graphics Driver is the only thing that the HP Assistant can't install. all of its other updates are installed completely.

Envy touchsmart 15t j100 - can't connect to second monitor
Hi, so my problem is that for some reason my hp envy can't detect the external monitor. I tried to re - install the graphic drivers (hd 4600 / Geforce 740m) and I tried to read and search for sulutions online but nothing helepd.
It used to work and all of a sudden it stoped. any help? my only assumption is that the HDMI output itself is not functioning.

hi, i have a notebook hp pavilion [HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC] with amd graphics, and ever since i have updated 8.1( windows 8.1 was already upgraded on my notebook) all of a sudden the graphics started to act funny. horizontall lines started to appear over the entire screen randomly and non stop. i had to disable the driver in order to actually be able to work on my notebook. could please help. thank you!

AMD Video Driver error message everytime I start the computer
I have a HP Envy 6-1010US Notebook at work and everytime I start the computer I get an AMD error message saying the video driver has not been installed. I have checked all the drivers and have reinstalled them. No error shows in the system device manager or during scans of the computer, but I still get that message pop-up everytime I start the computer. Can someone please help me fix the problem?

Screen Connection causes Power Failure
Hi All,
I own an HPG61 Laptop. Recently, it would not boot up when the power button is pressed but also noticed the AC power light continues flashing.
After some troubleshooting, I have narrowed down to the fact that the AC adaptor is good (Used on some other laptop at work). I then decided to open it up just to find out that the power light which blinks continuously is stable if i did not connect the screen to the motherboard. I also proceeded to just connecting an external display (without connecting the screen) and all was good. (The laptop boot up completely and the external monitor displayed all)
Now, I am not sure if the screen is the problem, the port of the display unit on the motherboard or the power jack (Can’t support the entire power draw from it).
Please I need advice on this issue.

Dual monitors on dock with HP84xx laptops - main display goes to sleep
I get alot of users having issues where they are working with dual monitors with a laptop on a dock, using a VGA and DVI, where the VGA monitor is going to sleep on its own for no reason. These monitors are also HPL19xx.
the "fix" is to typically remove laptop from dock and battery from laptop for a minute, place battery back in and laptop back on dock. This solves it, but why does it happen in the first place?

Hp Probook 4720s sound volume screen display missing with function keys F7 through F9
Simply stated: My HP Probook 4720s Laptop's sound volume screen display bar no longer displays when using function keys F7 through F9. The sound volume itself can be muted (F7), lowered (F8) or raised (F9), but no sound bar which formerly was displayed at the bottom of the screen is now visible. I've tried the HP Advisor, Repair, etc. options to no avail. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Monitor separated and black screen
Hello,
on my laptop, the plastic on the left side melted and when ever I open the cover I can hear the plastic and as I raise the cover it lifts the left side by the power button up. I could use it normally, just it would get hot quickly. But today I raise it up and the screen is black. What to do?
