On the HP Zbook 15v G5 website under specifications the expansion ports list:

However, when I try to use DP 1.3 it only allows me to do DP 1.2.  I then checked the TBT3 controller and it was a 2016-vintage Alpine Ridge controller which only supports DP 1.2 instead of what should be a 2018 Titan Ridge controller in this 2018 laptop.  This throttles the output of the Quadro P600 inside the laptop.  How do I go about getting this rectified?

I have an HP ProBook 6545b notebook and about a year or so ago, the video started to go on and off when starting up.

Once it's running the screen is completely blank.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Hello guys, 

I recently bought a passive stylus - MEKO. However it's not working as expected on my laptop in either of the modes computer/tablet (check the giff I've attached. It shows how the stylus does not work and how the finger writing is better).

 

 

I contacted the support department of MEKO, but they couldn't help me and advised me to contact you. So here I am. Any ideas if there's a way to improve the sensitivity of the touch screen? I already tried with no succss:

• updating the latest touch screen drivers
• cleaning the touch screen
• using any of the spare disc tips included in the stylus' packet

P.S. - My laptop is - HP Spectre x360 - 13-4003dx (ENERGY STAR). Also the stylus is working fine over the touch screen of my iPhone SE.

hi every one,

display problems with my HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl1XX Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz shadow only when I open windows, at 100% brightness level  with or without ac adapter, the shading is attenuated from 80%, 70% until dispraitre. (see pics attached)brightness at 80%brightness at 100%

all my driver are updated and bios too.

Can anyone help me to solve this probleme plz ?

Excel seems to scroll really slowly in comparison to my  old desktop and old laptop.

I have rebuilt the system completely twice, really installed office 365 2016 locally.

Set on high performance.

It is also slow switching between apps sometimes (alt-tab)

My 4 year old Samsung is faster in every respect.

Fan runs a lot too.

Please i need hp Notebook 15-bs168cl 8GB RAM, 2TB display adapter. I bought the pc some months ago but it got corrupted and the engineer that I gave to assist me formatted it without keeping the recovery. Now the brightness is not working and I have downloaded all the drivers I saw on your site. Please kindly assist me.

hello support team,
i bought hp pavilion p15-cc024ur 2 months ago and for 1 month i'm trying to repear it.
my video card (nvidia geforce 940 mx) don't work correctly. for example when i'm playing league of legends with integrated video
card, everything work correctly, but when i'm playing with nvidia geforce 940 mx my fps suddenly fall to 1 fps. this heppend every
time. i installed last version of nvidia drivers, i enabled vertical sync but again coudn't play, after i disable it again and 3d
settings and check hight performance to nvidia geforce 940 mx and i checket power management too. when i gone with this problem to
my warranty company (EVO SERVICE) they said than they opened case with you team and get status that it's my windows problem. can
you help me? because i don't trust to my warranty company. beafor tht they said that i must install old version of drivers and
windows, after that it's my original Computer charger's fault. they don't know anything about this problem. can you check their
case? ( EVO 5580-3662). I am sure the problem isn't correctly explain by tham.

Hi,

 

Since owning this laptop I've had nothing but trouble with the video drivers - I clean installed windows and used the 1709 driver update along with all the other hp updates for bios, chipset etc.

 

I get crashes when waking from sleep and green screen scheduler errors about half a dozen times a day.

 

I also note that there is no vulkan dll/driver when running CPU-Z?

 

And lastly to top it all off, after purchasing Davinci Resolve I get crashes as soon as I try to utilise the GPU for OpenCL compute rendering of Fusion FX. If I don't specify the GPU then resolve works fine but as slow as hell for rendering!

 

Does HP have a working/valid driver for this AMD video card? One of the updated Vega drivers I tried removed the ability to change screen resolution in The Witcher - so I reverted back.

 

I'm currently using 23.20.815.7424 from the the latest Windows driver cab dated 12/09/2018 but even this green screens regularly

 

Is there a newer working, more stable set of AMD drivers? I'm getting to the point where I'll return the laptop as not fit for purpose.

My screen has a yellow colour in the top-left corner and it's starting to spread to the bottom of the screen. I've read comments that suggest checking if it appears in the BIOS screen and yes, it does.

 

Will I need to get my laptop sent off for repairs?

Hello, 

Quick question, does anyone know what the display resfresh rate is for this model of laptop?  I have the AMD setup with the Radeon R6 graphics and about a week ago I went into performance monitor and add a new collectordata set for the grahics display and when I can to the question of refresh rate I "thought"  it was 60 yet given I get a flicker now in the screen , I can clearly see my "thought" I was way off. Any help would be great. I tried virtual assistant and no help there, I poured throught all the manuals and didnt see it there

A few days after windows 10 october update, the rotation of the screen suddenly stopped work. Searching on the internet, I realised that Hid class v2 is responsible for that, also in device manager appeared that thing( on the picture) that shows this error (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. Code 43). I've already tried to reinstall windows and video drivers as Microsoft suggested me, but it didn't make a sense, the problem still persists and I can rotate my display. And I'm asking you to not suggest me anothere reinstalation of windows or restore to factory options, because I've made it twice.
