I have been looking at several forums and have tried all the solutions available but still can't seem to get the touchpad working. The disable/enable option in top left of the touchpad isn't working, the option to use the synaptic driver ribbon (usually red) doesn't appear and resetting the bios to factory defaults doesn't seem to work.
What is strange is that the left and right mouse clicks still work but the touchpad doesn't. Im thinking the touchpad is knackered.
Any suggestions?
I can't calibrate my touchscreen because I can't press the crosshairs with either my pen or my finger. I think they used to work because I haven't noticed it before. For reference, I can't press the search bar on my Chrome browser or the pencil button in MS Paint.
Is there any ways to fix this?
Hello HP this is not a question but it is a suggestion in the form of a question. Please we beg you can you release a bios update that contains an option for change of dedicated video memory?
We are tired of having 12 GB RAM with only 128 MB dedicated video memory. I was able to do that through the registory editor but that only fools the program into thinking you have the needed amount of dedicated video ram but actually it still remains 128 MB. Please help us, help the HP ENVY 15M - BP012DX users so that we can also have a feel of certain games please.

I opened my laptop with no horizontal pink line yet. After around 30 minutes, I noticed a horizontal pink line on my screen when I minimized all of my windows. Is there anything I can do to remove the line?

Using touchpad results in completely erratic mouse movement and clicking. Mouse will shake violently all over screen and even close/open programs, as well as drag around icons. This happens even without any input (touching) the TouchPad. I have tried running all updates, installing drivers, reinstalling drivers, and even rolling back the driver (although, this made it worse). Additionally, I have tried restarting the PC after each driver repair attempt.
None of this has helped. The only work around is to use a third party, USB mouse, but this is very inconvenient for taking the laptop on the go. Using a third party mouse, completely calms down the pointer, and it functions as it is supposed to. However, the second you unplug it, it returns to the erratic movement.
Additionally, I have tried lowering mouse sensativity, and even removing the "tapping" feature, but they have not helped. Again, the mouse will move erratically around the screen, even when the TouchPad is not in use.
Any advise on making this laptop useable without a mouse?

When trying to get ManyCam to work I uninstalled my HD Truevision Full HD imaging device (rookie error) as part of a (flawed, obviously) process trying to get ManyCam to connect to the webcam image.
Big error! I have managed to reinstall it (and the driver has automatically downloaded) but it now appears in the 'camera' section of the Device Manager. I wonder whether this is the problem? I have tried to find the relevant driver to 'make it into an 'imaging device' again but can't do so.
When I use Skype the image that the webcam shows is really terrible - I can only half make myself out. That's the basic problem. Perhaps my diagnosis above is wrong. Any solutions appreciated!

After I start a game that uses Nvidia graphic card, if then I try to watch a video by any video player, it lags a lot, I have to restart Pc to fix the issue. Any solution? Thanks
When running fullscreen applications that use hardware acceleration, my red and blue colors appear to be swapped. I have updated to the latest graphics drivers, reinstalled the application, tried running with every possible radeon setting changed, even updated the BIOS. Photos of the issue are below. Any ideas anyone?
HP 27es display power goes on and off with HDMI plugged in, it's not the cable because I switched it out and had the same problem. Started going off periodically then eventually wouldn't work at all. Just over 1 year old.
Any fix ideas?
Lighted volume button just above and to the right of keyboard is stuck on "Mute", cannot unlock.
The touch digitizer is broken in my laptop. Can someone post the steps to replace that and also the part number to be ordered ? I searched internet and the bezel looks different for this laptop (thin bezel)

Need some help, my hp pavilion notebook has stopped detecting my external screen. It previously worked with no issues when I plugged in the hdmi cable. I have tried to dupilicate the screens and still nothing. I also tried to go to display settings and it will not detect the external monitor either now.
Also when I try to install the drivers it says there is none. The monitor is a Dell CF390. I inserted screen shots if that helps.

Few days back I suddenly started getting low fps (20-40) in all games, i haven't done any changes to trigger that.
But that day onwards it is constantly giving low fps and i have updated every driver to fix that but nothing helped.

I replaced my laptop battery and now some keys (0,-,=,p,[,],l,;,') don't work.
I have the HP spectre x360 that I purchased for medical school last year. I love taking notes on powerpoint slides with the HP active pen that it came with. I have noticed a few months ago, the pen input seemed off. This has slowly progressed to what I would consider "lagging of pen input". At first the pen input would pick up right away and I could write on the slide flawlessly and without hesitation. But now, I have noticed that when I write on the slide, the digitilizer does not pick up on the pen right away. Instead, the screen will register my palm initially and "left-click" on the spot. I have tried turning the touch screen off in the device manager. That obviously stopped the inappropriate clicking but still I have noticed that when I go to write the action of initiating the writing lags behind. I will try to write soemthing only to notice the pen has only written the later half of the word. I have also noticed that the small pen icon that appears when the tip of the active pen is hovering above the screen is no longer "smooth". The icon now "jumps around", just like a mouse would during a FPS drop.
I have updated all my drivers. I have uninstalled some and tried to reinstall and have run the HP systems diagnostics without any luck.
Unfortunately, my warranty just expired (8/8/18). I had not used the pen all summer as we were on break but we are now back in class and this problem has come back to my attention.
