Pavilion DV7T-1200 - Screen goes black and all stops working!!! HELP!!!!
I have a Pavilion dv7t-1200. I have started having issues with the display. While I'm surfing the web, or while I'm playing a game, the screen goes black and everything stops working. I am forced to reboot the "bad" way, forcing it. Other times, the screen goes black and reboots itself, but mainly it goes black and all stops working.
I have updated the NVIDIA GEForce 9600 MT video drivers, but it's still happening. Also, the communicator.exe stops working all the time, which I'm not sure if it's linked to the whole problem. I don't what else could it be.

dv7-6b01ed graphic problems
Hi, I have exactly 2 years a HP Pavilion dv7-6b01ed. I keep getting a problem with the graphics. I dont really see a diffrent when I play some games but I can see that the hd videos arent that good anymore. Everything is up to date but there is stil a problem.
I tried to update the amd driver and during the installation i got a note that it couldn't install the update. The message (translated) : AMD Catalyst mobility cant be downloaded becaus you computer has an incompatible hardware/software.
De version of your graphic adapter couldn't be supported. Contact your fabricant about your laptop to update your graphic driver.
So what can I do now?
ps: there are some other little issieus on the laptop like the aero-desktop effects cant be run by the graphics.

HP 200-329WM boot black screen all lights on
I booted up my laptop and the fans, CD drive and hard drive all spun up, power light and wireless light are on (Wireless light is orange because I removed wierless module. (Before this happened I installed different linux distros on it, and then formatted the hard drive and swapped the hard drive with a new one)
I really need help.
There are no blinking lights.

6770m not working with games well, dv6t quad edition 6100
Hi, I'm new to these forums but i had this problem for the longest time and i was trying to find the best driver or update for my dv6t quad edition pavillion 6100 with 1920x1080 display, also it has an i7 2630qm bios version f.1B I downloaded the amd graphics driver from hp website. which i'm told includes intel and amd for 6770m /intel 3000 but for some reason on dxdiag it only shows Intel(R) HD graphics Family. I play world of warcraft mist of pandaria and notice i only get around 45 fps -60 and drops down to like 10-15 in raids on medium settings ( no shadows 4x antrophic 1x multisampling 1920x1080) Use to be able to play with max settings no problem also keep geting stuttering issues while in game while on medium settings even with 60 fps. Wondering if someone had a solution and could help me out, Thanks!

Hp Pavilion dv 6134-tx Windows 8 Graphic Driver
HEy. I recenly found out that there has been an update for the driver HD Radeon 6770m. But I have a windows 7 64 bit installed at the moment. I have a upgrade disk for windows 8 and i want to upgrade my laptop. But i know that the graphic driver won't support the windows 8. SO is there a installation or .exe to install the driver for Windows 8 64 bit????

taskbar raised / screen extended to the right
Upon started laptop the Windows screen is larger to the right - so that the clock in the bottom right corner is off screen. Also the taskbar is raise about 1/8" so that the top of what is on the screen shows below the taskbar. This is also happening in bios. I have updated bios and the drivers. These were done on different occasions and when each was done the problem cleared, but upon turning off the computer and then turning it on the problem was there. Need help , thanks for your time.

I checked updates on Hp site for my model and i downloaded it but at the end of installation i read that the driver hasn't been validated for my pc and fails.

HP ProBook 4540s no switchable graphics
Hi all. I have a HP ProBook 4540s and have been looking for the option to change between Intel HD Graphics 4000 and AMD, but I cant find it.
I checked the Device Manager and only Intel HD Graphics 4000 is shown under Display adapters.
I entered my product number on http://www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html and it showed me all the drivers for my laptop, including AMD Video Driver and Control Panel.
I downloaded this then tried installing AMD catalyst install manager, but got the error: "application install source package not found". What could be the problem? Thanks in advance

Hello. I'm just writing to voice my extreme displeasure with my HP product. I have previously written to you several months ago but my correspondence was ignored.
Since I purchased mt laptop at the end of 2012/early 2013, it has had nothing but problems. Within the first 2 weeks of owning it, the graphics card failed and I had to send it in for replacement. After that happened (in early January I think), my warranty date was not restarted from the date from which I received the new laptop (which you should be able to confirm from you records). A few months after receiving the brand new laptop, the system began to overheat when performing menial tasks and was sent in again for repair. A few months after that, I had issues where the screen would stay black after closing the lid and would not work until I held the power button down and rebooted the laptop manually. Though the laptop was in warranty at this time, I called up and explained that I could not send it in for repair because it
was required for my university studies and I would not be able to do my work without it.
That was about 6 months ago, and unfortunately my warranty expired before I could send it in for replacement without interrupting my studies. Now, the screen of my laptop has stopped working completely. The only way I am able to use the laptop is with an external monitor connected. This issue appeared overnight (last night in fact). I would really like you to reply to me and acknowledge the faults and poor support I have received from HP. I argued a lot over the phone to try and have my warranty extended after the first two times the laptop was sent in for repair/replacement because once a laptop has had so many issues, you know deep down that it is only going to continue to not work as intended, but no representative on the phone was sympathetic to my cause. I spent a lot of money on this laptop, and as a student, money isn't something I have a lot of. I am now going to be forced to either spend hundreds having the screen repaired (through no fault of my own) or purchasing a new laptop altogether after only just over a year of purchasing this one.
Any form of acknowledgement would be appreciated.
I understand that I had the opportunity to send it in for repair beforehand, but as I explained, I was in the middle of university studies, essays, exams, the timing couldn't have been worse, and due to the fact that it was the third time I was having to potentially send the laptop in for repair in the space of less than a year, you can see why I was frustrated that my warranty wasn't extended in goodwill to reflect this. The laptop is clearly faulty and has been since I received it, yet nobody at HP has even shown an ounce of empathy or concern and has only been focused on getting my laptop in and out of repair. The first time it was replaced, I had to actually fight tooth and nail over the phone to get a replacement instead of a simple repair.
I really just want somebody at HP to 1) help me get my screen working again so I can use my laptop as intended (I have tried soft/hard resets, removing batteries, removing RAM, changing display settings, the laptop display doesn't even show up as an option for a display choice) and 2) acknowledge that I have received terrible suupport from day one.

Problem with video drivers..
Os : Windows 7 professional 64 bit (That i bought last month)
Hi.I have a big problem with my hp g62b17el , my notebook has 2 gpu, 1 integrated (hd4250) and 1 dedicated (hd5470)
my video drivers has been uninstalled for a virus i think, because when i restarted my pc, yersterday, the drivers there werent.
now, the hp support said "if the notebook has 2 different gpu, install drivers for all gpu" so i downloaded hd4250 drivers and hd5470 drivers, but i get a problem, "HDMI audio driver not installed", so "setup not succesfull"
i cant install the video drivers!
But, when i go in (right on) computer > devices management > video cards > hd4200 series chip > install driver searching in computer-online, it install drivers downloading them from internet, so the hd4250 chip works, but is bad chip! i want install hd5470, when i install hd5000 series while hd4250 is working, the drivers dont install, and unistall also the hd4000 drivers..
pls help me

HP G6-2144tx switchable Graphics
Hi, hope somene can help.
I bought a HP Lapto Model: G6-2144tx, Serial: [edited personally identifiable information] ,Product: C5H34PA#AB4, without a HDD. I have susessfully installed a Samsung Evo 840 with windows 7 Home Premium. managed to get drivers from HP Support and install most except graphics. I've looked over this forum for answers & even tried the leshcat link from another post.
I was hoping someone could advise me of the best order to install my drivers & what is the best bios version for my system as i dont have a switchable option in the F9 system setup
I even called up HP Support this morning who told me they couldnt help as its not a Europeian laptop its from Asia?

HP ENVY DV6 Screen Black out
Hi,
My DV6 screen keeps blacking out (switching off). There is a "Ding Dong" sound and the screen goes black. I have to close and open the screen to get it active. The laptop does not shut down. Only the screen goes off. I gave it for repair and got it back saying they replaced a ribbon/wire. However, the issue still continues. Appreciate if you can advise me of rectification as this is very annoying!

How to get 2560x1600 with HP Pavilion dvt7?
I have an HP Pavilion dvt7 laptop. I'd like to connect this to a 30" HQHD Display Port, HDMI, DVI-D, PC Monitor with a maximum resolution of 2560x1600 (via Display Port or DVI-D). Is this possible and if so, through what ports and/or adapters to get the 2560x1600 resolution? The machine does have an express card slot. Can I use an expresscard to USB 3.0 adpater, then use a usb 3.0 to displayport adapter and connect to the monitor's displayport?

Where is fixed switchable graphics in my BIOS?

My HP Pavilion g6-2318sr has 2 graphics cards and I want to switch between them manually like models in THIS topic, because they have choice between dynamic or fixed mode in new BIOS. My BIOS(F.26) doesn't have this function.

Computer goes into sleep mode automatically.
As the title states, my computer goes into sleep mode automatically. I have used the HP tech assistant thing. A tech connected to my computer and changed a bunch of power settings. Had me updates all drivers, and I am still having this problem. I have created new power plans which didnt help.
Other info that might help:
I think it does it less when its only running on battery power.
It doesnt seem to do it at a specific time or when a specific program is runnoing.
I have all available updates, and drivers.
I have reinstalled windows to see if that made a difference.
The laptop is a HP ENVY Touchsmart m7-j020dx, updated to windows 8.1
Can anyone help me? Im about to send it off to HP for repair, but i would really rather not do that.
