Which Active Pen Is Supported With My Laptop?
Laptop Model:HP ENVY 15 W101TX
As i had purchased Wacom Bamboo Ink Active Stylus, which is a universal stylus from wacom for Windows Laptop and Tablet. As my laptop supports pen and touch input. But this active pen is not working with my laptop. please help me.
i also called the technical department for the concerend issue but they were also unable to provide me the right information for my concern. I also asked them that HP Active Pen Is Supported By My Laptop or Not? They Told me That it is only supported by the Pavilion series. Help Me and also let me know that the Bamboo Ink will work with my laptop or not.

HP Spectre Blank Screen
I've purchased the HP Spectre x360 two weeks ago. I used it without incident until yesterday. This morning it is booting up as normal but with absolutely no screen function. The keyboard is lighting up and the face recognition log-on is flashing and appears to recognise me but the screen is blank. I have no idea why. Any help gratefully appeciated.

What are my options after water damage?
Hi,
I accidently damaged my notebook with water. I directly dried my notebook and put it in front of a heater for 48 hours. After 48 hours I restarted my notebook and it would switch on. Everything was working except the screen. I plugged it in my TV with a HDMI cable and it worked. I even was able to use my touchscreen on the notebook while being plugged on to the TV. Everything else was working as well (USB, adapter, keyboard).
As my warranty has passed I would like to know what my options are. I have insurance for these kinds of things so I probably do not have to pay for the whole thing myself. Can I ask HP to a diagnose for me?
A note is that I bought this notebook in Sydney, Australia but I live in the Netherlands. Does this limit me from having service?

HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 1.4 on the HP ENVY 17-ae101na 4k laptop?
Is the HDMI port on the HP ENVY 17 ae101na version 1.4 or version 2.0 please?
Alas the technical specs at the UK store do not specify

Its the latest and greatest HP Envy 17 UK spec - 4k display - Intel® Core™ i7-8550U processor - NVIDIA® GeForce® MX150 - Bang & Olufsen speakers - costs a heafty £1,400)
This question is vital because:
The laptop has a 3840 x 2160 resolution, and to support 60Hz on an external monitor at this resolution it needs HDMI 2.0 or Display Port.
The Dell 3840 x 2160 laptops have display port, HP’s decision to go with HDMI makes it imperitive they make clear the HDMI version.
Hence the HP web site should be updated- please pass this point on to the team responsible as well as answering my question.

Touch pad in tablet mode
Hello,
I have problem with my laptop's touchpad. Everytime I switch on the laptop or wake it up from sleep mode, the touchpad doesn't work. Then I have to put the laptop to tablet mode and back and it starts working. It seems like the laptop is waking up in tablet mode, then I switch it to laptop mode. This also started after I did some updates required by OS.

Touchscreen no longer working after Windows was reinstalled
This computer was purchased in January 2017 and has touchscreen capabilites out of the box. Windows 10 was preinstalled and has worked fine since purchase. I wiped the computer and reinstalled the same version of Windows 10. After the reinstall, the touchscreen no longer functions.
Steps to correct the issue are as follows:
1: went to device manager, tried to find the HID-Compliant Touchscreen Driver which was not there as it was said to look for. There is a USB touchscreen driver under Mouse and input devices. Driver says it is up to date and the best driver.
2. The F2 function was pressed during a reboot and the touchscreen works in this mode with no issues. The tests for the touchscreen touching the blocks were all good also.
3. No drivers I can find are available to reinstall from the HP site.
Please assist if anyone has the fix!

HDMI PORT stopped working
I am owning HP Pavilion x360 - Product No: T0Y58PA#ACJ
I have been using this laptop for the last two years connecting to Projectors using my HDMI input. Last week when I connected to one of the Projectors in my office, the windows crashed and since then my HDMI port is not working (tried multiple cables etc). I have a dual monitor at home too which was working earlier to this incident and now it is not working.
I tried to update to the latest display drivers but not successful. Yesterday I reset my Laptop to original factory settings and still no success. Need some help here desperately as my work is training people and need to use Projectors.

Virtual Keyboard Not working
When it tablet mode I cannot get the virtual keyboard to come up. It is in my taskbar and I see the picture but when I touch it nothing happens. Looks like something might be opening and closing (really fast) but ultimatley no keyboard. I can pin the On screen Keyboard to the bottom and use that instead but would like to be able to do this as it should work. Any thoughts?

External Display resolution Spectre x360 and issue
I wish to by a new monitor and would like to know the maximum specified external resolution the Spectre x360 can drive. I know it can drive 4K for Video etc. but I don't need that much.
The internal monitor is running at 1920 x 1080 and it shows that as the maximum resolution I can select both in display settings and in Display Adaptor Properties.
So what would be the highest resolution monitor I can run bearing in mind it is for business text and graphics working with some HD 1080p video use (i.e. I don't need the full 4k)
I don't have any experience with HD monitors so I'm not sure if this the right way to ask the question. I just want to update and buy the best monitor for the job without spending money on specs I don't need or won't work anyway!...if you can ahppen to suggest a defecto best monitor on the market that does the job and doesn't break the bank that's great too!?

Addendum Question:
I have an external monitor that supports 1680 x 1050 however clicking th erecommended setting does not always do the job and to get this running I had to 1) manually set the Display Setting -Resolution to 1680 x 1050 AND then manually adjust the Display Adaptor Properties to 1680 x 1050 at 60Hz (doesn't look good at 50Hz).
On my Work lenovo with the same monitor none of this is necessary and it automagically works it all out.
Any reason for this?

My Touchpad is not working on the HP Chromebook.

Screen auto rotation not working
Hello,
Screen rotation based on position stopped working on my brand-new Envy notebook.
Originally the button was locked and grayed out, based on searching this forum I uninstalled "amd virtual buttons" and it started working again.
A day later however, while I can try and turn screen rotation lock on and off, the accelerometer doesn't trigger any actions.
I tried (and rebooted after each action):
- Updating everything, including HP software
- Editing the registry, enabling the rotation options manually
- Updated my AMD radeon drivers
- Removed every application that could negatively affect this function
- Updated/Reverted/removed/added again the driver for the sensors
- Reinstalled HP 3D Driveguard.
None of this had any effect.
Any ideas on what else I could do to make it work?
