Black Screen on start up

 I just recently experience this on my laptop. I was watching a stream of a sporting event walk a way for a second to come back to a blacked screen first thinking it was a screen saver but nothing would bring screen back to life. I went on to HP Troubleshoot on another computer I did a a Hard Reset and tried plugging in additional monitor with both screens Blacken out stated to contact HP for Technical Assistance. I'm running at the time Microsoft Vista but was going to be updating to Windows 7. I did do a update on Skype software earlier that morning.

in this month hp service engineer visited five times and replace 3 parts but still today in my laptop speaker touchpad and some key on my laptop not working and green line shows on laptop screen which is screen shot attaching with and one by one all parts creating some issue and my totally work on my laptop even I give time for diagnostic and repair but HP technical team not fixed it . so now I want to replacement for laptop unit plz help/support regarding for my case and contact on 9714228277 or email kapadiyaneel@gmail.com or suggesting better way to replace my laptop unitScreenshot (126).png

Does anyone have good experience in projecting, without any stutter, audio visual sequences with a high video content. I am looking for an HP notebook that is known to be capable of projecting audio visual sequences through a 1920x1200 WUXGA projector via the HDMI output.

I got my computer for about 9 months or so and the screen recently cracked after puting slight pressure on the computer while the lid was closed. I have seen that some other people are having the same problem with the product and I feel the screen is just way too fragile. Though the display works perfectly fine, the touch screen function no longer works. I contacted HP just the other day about this problem however the cost is about half of what I paid for for the computer (around 500-600 dollars) which is just way too much for me since I am still a student. I feel there might be manufacturing issues with the screen and I am wondering if you guys can do something about it.

Videos won't play

Hi there everyone, I've recently come into an issue where my laptop won't play videos for whatever reason.  I can play videos from a dvd, and a hard drive, but not streaming such as using youtube.  Videos on youtube will act like they're trying to load, but will eventually come up with an icon on the bottom of the screen asking to recover the webpage which will recover the webpage, but it still won't play the videos.  I've also been noticing that lately when I come to a page it says do you want to allow adobe flash to play even though I have it adjusted in the advanced settings.  Any help is very much appreciated.  Thank you!

Any news on this topic?
I got the same issue, allready had several devices exchanged. Some say it's an actual screen problem... others say the driver. When deactivating the driver/graphic card the flickering is gone! When reactivating the driver the flickering stays away... till... well... I could not reproduce the flickering for sure. It just comes at some point...

 

Sounds like a driver issue right?

 

Anybody any hints on this?

Active Pen K8P73AA not connecting to Pavilion x360

I ordered the HP Active Pen K8P73AA to use on my Pavilion x360 because the compatibility page on the website says it is compatible, but I cannot get the buttons on the pen to work for anything.  I cannot find anything else about the compatibility of the pen with this computer. It works to writ on the screen, but the buttons will not do anything. Are there any driver updates or software that I need to install, or will this pen just not work for this computer?

hii..i just bought HP pavilion laptop..2016 model. the fan of my laptop keeps rotating all the time and make noice which is like a loud humming sound..it is very distracting and annoying..is it normal or there is some problem?

I just replaced the hard drive and installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my Pavillion G7 Series laptop and the HDMI does not appear to be working.  Is there a driver I need to install ? I couldn't find the HDMI imput in the device manager to updat it. Please help.

HP 250 G4 internet and other problems

Hi all,

Over the past few weeks I've been having several problems with my machine. The wifi connection tray does not show any available networks despite the fact that I'm connected to the internet. My HP support assisstant and many of the stock programs that come with windows 10 show splash screens but fail to run, I reinstalled them all but to no avail.

I've run AV scans, reinstalled windows, run some more AV scans and updated my drivers but I've still got the problem.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did they fix it?

No keyboard backlight

hello. i need help. After reinstalling the system, I did not have the function keys. After installing the drivers for the function keys, keyboard backlighting stopped working. Please advice what else can I do to restore the keyboard backlight.


the touch for the touch pad is too senitive and too close to the key board

the touch pad is too close for my hands on the keyboard   It is so  senitive.  I will typing an assignment on the computer and typing away, all of a sudden if I hit the space bar everything will disappear or is gone.  I feel the touch pad is too close to the typing keys.  How can I fix it to make it not so senitive to touach.

Fingerprint reader not connected! Driver updated working,Simple Pass updated! Please help!!

I had corrupt regestry entries so a MS tech repaired my system with a new install of windows 8.1.

My fingerprint reader is not connected. Does not light up, and will not scan for simplepass.

I have the updated validity driver installed and its working properly. I downloaded the latest version of Simple Pass as well still not working. I went through previous posts here and none of them work. I used HP Support Assistant to verify all updates were installed as well. When i look in my device manager it shows 2 items with no drivers.The following is the description of the said devices missing drivers and I suspect they are the result of this scanner not turning on or connected: PCI Device but 1 no compatable drivers installed and wont update. Second one connected to this same issue is 

Unknown Device Location PCI Express Root Complex. There are no hardware changes on this notebook and no aftermarket items connected. This worked fine before this repair of Windows 8.1, now it wont even turn on!! 

 

Camera tint

Hi,

I bought the same type of laptop recently and after a few days of using it, the image from camera gives blue tint. After bringing it to the maintenance office in Hong Kong, they said its a hardware problem and gives me a 'brand new' laptop. Now after a week or so the same thing happened on this laptop and i wonder what on earth is happening to HP. I used to believe they are one of the best quality computer production company but now I'm so upset about this. Can someone tells me what on earth is happening to the quality control bit on HP?

Unfortunately I can say that I could just copy and paste a couple of the other posts here. They sound exactly like my situation. Yesterday I spent my day off trying to get a hold of someone in customer service with HP. I was on the calls four different times for a total of five hours. I'm sure you think I'm exaggerating that it was five hours but, no exaggeration here as I actually took screenshots of each of the call times. First call 12 minutes I spoke with someone for for several minutes describing the issue was told that I must've done something to damage the screen but that I would be transferred to the hardware department put on hold disconnected. My next call lasted a total of 24 minutes again spoke with the representative described the issue and described how I had not done anything other than Close my laptop on my kitchen table so that I can make dinner for my family and then about 20 minutes later opened my laptop and that is when I saw the spiderweb crack from the upper right-hand corner of the screen going down towards the left center my computer had not moved from the table there is not a bit of other damage on the computer it clearly was not dropped nor did it get closed with Extreme force as I was told multiple times must've been the cause. I was getting very frustrated because of course I have been on the phone now for quite some time I was again placed on hold and disconnected. Third call one hour and 26 minutes approximately 10 minutes of this call was actually speaking with the associate again same exact scripting was given to me. I told her that nothing had been done to damage the computer and that I had had two Mac laptops for over eight years each and they had never ever cracked. I wanted to speak with someone who could help me so she said I could be put into the queue for the hardware department she created a case number gave it to me, told me it was going to cost me to send in the computer and that it would cost anywhere from $100-$500 to repair it. She then transferred me into the department that I was told would help me. After being on hold for over 20 minutes of this already lengthy call she came back on and told me that there was a long holding que and I told her I didn't mind waiting I needed to get this issue resolved and she said well ma'am that means I have to be on hold with you. she told me that she would call me back tomorrow or that I could call back and I said that I work full-time I don't have time to be on the phone to get this resolved I have the day off and I need it to be resolved today she then proceeded to tell me how about Friday or Saturday to be called back and I said no I want to be put back in the que and she said that means I have to start in the que all over again and it's going to be very long and I said I don't care I want to speak with someone who can help me. She then placed me on hold and then about another 20 minutes later she came back on the line told me she noticed that I had purchased the computer at Best Buy and that I would be taken care of under their association with HP. She stated that they're able to help me and to call Best Buy. I asked her, "does that mean that they're going to be able to take care of the issue?" She said absolutely ma'am. My next call is to Best Buy and when I spoke with the associate at Best Buy I was told that my computer was not covered under warranty even though it was less than 90 days old. Again I was told that I must've done something to cause the damage. Like maybe there was a rock iin between the screen and the keyboard she suggested and I told her I didn't have any rocks on my kitchen table that could've somehow managed to make their way onto the computer. I explained how long I had been on hold with HP only to get told that Best Buy would help me and I wanted to speak with the manager. I spoke with the manager and he told me that HP should've been the ones to take care of this iand that I need to call them for assistance. Now onto my fourth call to HP where again I spoke with an associate for less than five minutes to again describe the issue he went in and was reviewing the notes from my previous call and told me that I'd already been told that I must've damaged the computer. Each associate I spoke with was told that I can send in pictures of the computer there is no damage on the computer anywhere. I told him I wanted to speak with A supervisor and that I had a case number already so I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. I was told that the supervisor was on the phone and it could be a long time before he could get on with me I said I had waited a very long time already and I didn't mind waiting longer. I was placed on hold probably about 40 minutes later he comes back on the phone and tells me that he was sorry that the supervisor was now available to speak with me and he was going to transfer me to the supervisor when I was placed on hold for this transfer I got to listen to the HP background music and this hold time lasted over an hour. Yes I was on hold for an hour to speak with the supervisor that I have been told is ready to take my call. This lasted my entire hair appointment three hour total call time still no resolution never spoke with anybody, nobody came back on the line. I am so deeply frustrated and disappointed that I cannot get someone to address an issue with a $500 computer that is new and has not been damaged by me in anyway. While I was on hold with the last call I looked up screen crack issues with HP pavilions and came across this forum and multiple stories of this type of customer service. I work in a sales and customer service environment my calls are monitored and recorded and if I spoke to a customer and provided this type of customer service to them I would lose my job. I am appalled that this is an ongoing problem and that clearly HP knows that there are issues with the screen cracking with no damage being done to the computer. Why I have to call a foreign country to get assistance with my computer is confusing to me. Communicating with someone with such a thick accent is very difficult especially when all they do is use the scripting to tell you over and over again that they are sorry and can understand my concerns. What do I need to do to get this issue addressed where do I send the photos of my screen as well as the screenshots of all of these calls totaling five hours of my time with not even close to a resolution or a phone number of someone in the United States that can actually provide me with some answers or assistance?

Moving mouse causes screen to zoom in and/or out. Will change from 100 to 250 and then maybe to 30

When moving the mouse across the screen the screen will zoom in and out uncontrollably.
