Left click and drag not functioning.
I can select things with left click but anything that requires holding the left click does not work. Such as holding left click on the scroll bar and scrolling up and down.
I have turned off the computer and restarted.
I have reset touch pad to default settings
Still no left click and drag function.

I want to disable ClickTouch on my touchpad.
On the HP site it says that go to Mouse -> Device Settings and voilà there it is.
Problem is, I don't have the tab Device Settings! It is simply not there.
I also typed in Synaptics and a couple of other keywords and looked in the Control Panel, but I haven't found anything related to the touchpad. I asked a couple of other people for help irl, they tried to find it on the notebook, but couldn't either.
I have a EliteBook 840.

I am having issues setting up the HP Active pen on my HP Pavilion x360 Convertible laptop (Model: 14-ba007ca). I followed the instructions in the manual, however the stylus is not functioning. I'm unsure as to whether this is because the HP Active Pen is incompatible with my laptop or that the stylus is not functioning properly, or if the battery is weak. If it turns out that the HP Active Pen is incompatible with my laptop, what other types of styluses are compatible with the HP Pavilion x360 Convertible laptop?
I am a student and am frequently switching from laptop to tablet mode in Microsoft Word to draw something or add to my notes with my pen.
However, my touch keyboard frequently pops up after I start drawing and it messes up my placement on my document and is very annoying. I cant find any setting to allow the keyboard to only come up when clicked, please help!

I'm experiencing sudden and random fps drops, huge ones (from 120 FPS to 7~8 FPS), in almost all installed games, examples are: DotA 2, Trackmania Turbo, PES 2017, Trackmania Nations Forever (which would basically run on Pentium 4).
I made sure that the games are running on the AMD not Intel.
This is also an issue I faced in my old HP 15 laptop (Another Model, though).
Product Specifications:
Product Name: HP 15-bs0xx
Processor: Intel Core-i5 7th Generation 7200U
Display Adapter(s): Intel HD 620 (Integrated)
AMD 520 (Radeon R5 M330) (External)
RAM: 8GB DDR4.
As a conclusion from specs, this is definitely not a problem of not meeting the minimum system requirements for the mentioned games above.
I already tried re-installing both Intel and AMD display drivers to the latest versions.
Any help would be appreciated, the laptop is quite new (It has been only for 2 weeks).

The HP Pavilion W7R28EA#A , 17-ab001nt display hinges that I paid a lot of money were made very poor quality. The notebook pc's display hinges that are not suitable for Hp brand are about to break. It is obvious that they are a fabricated fault. When I give a service, I am afraid to face the same problem again in 1 year. I am very unhappy with all of my computers at work.
Since I got my laptop any time I watch a video of YouTube or any sort of video on the laptop, there's times when the screen would freeze and a loud noise like a buzzing starts. The glitch screen and the noise last for around 7 seconds, but whenever I watch a DVD movie or Youtube video I worry that the laptop might freeze longer, restart itself, turn off or anything. It only happens when I watch a sort of video or movie and it's really frustrating. Do you know what the problem is?
I'm having problems with my touch screen. It seems that I've lost half the screen unless a pen is placed between the monitor and keyboard. That is the only way to have the whole screen appear. It's the pressure from the pen that allows it to display properly. The laptop is essential to my schoolwork. Please help me figure this out. Thanks in advance.

I bought a brand new HP Spectre x360 laptop a month ago from Microsoft.com online store.
The touchscreen intermitently goes crazy taking a life of its own including:
1) Switching between fullscreen and windowed every few seconds while watching a video; or
2) The cursor is blinking suddenly at the very LEFT edge while the mouse pointer is blinking at the RIGHT side of the screen and nothing can be done to get out.
To solve these problems, the POWER button is pressed to put it to sleep and then pressing the POWER again to wake it up. The apps would resume normally until the problems happen again the next time. The time between each incident varies so it's intermitent once or every other day the Spectre is used.
I used the HP Support Assistant to check for update and messages and it's up-to-date.

I'm attempting to update the HP QHD Touchscreen Controller Firmware but hesitate because other users seemed to run into issues when applying them and the touchscreen stops working entirely. Furthermore, there are two versions of the HP QHD Touchscreen Controller Firmware which is very confusing of which one to apply:

I am having issues with getting my Active pen to work on my device.
I am able to pair the device via bluetooth but the pen will not work at all on my touch screen. The top button works thatsthe only response I have.
I tried to configure the pen in options but none of the tests works. I have also checked for updates online but all seems to be ok.

I seem to have lost the zoom function completely on my laptop. For some reason its locked at 48% and I can't change this using my mouse or touch? The zoom bar next to the clock/calendar down at the right side of the screen is greyed out too so I can't use that to zoom in or out. I did not disable the zoom function in the first place, it just literally went from working one day to the next. How can i fix this?

I had purchased my HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC in USA in Dec 2014 with +2 yrs care pack warranty with ADP.
My laptop's screen is blinking and display gone bad. Reddish color is appearing all over the screen suddenly. A straight line in read appearing on top.
Currently I am in India so I contacted HP support India and they have asked me to get warranty entitlement updated as its out of country product.
I am trying to register my care pack (please correct me if I am wrong), but its asking me serial number of care pack but instead I have Agreement Number. There is no serial number in care pack receipt that I have.
Please guide.

Its almost a year since i am using hp envy 360 . Just after few months of use I am experiencing this abnormal problem of ghost touch response.
The touch screen automatically takes the response and it is very irritating as I cannot operate my laptop once this starts and I have to force shut down my laptop to solve this. Day by day the problem is increasing more and more.
I have updated the bios and all other firmware but the problem still continues. These ghost touches appear only on the left side of the screen.

Had HP2000, Wndws7/Acer Monitor, printer port type cable connection. Full screen no problem. Got new HP15 Notebook PC, Wndws10-(5CD6341S33), Acer connection HDMI, won't display full screen, no driver available, Acer only supports Wndws 8. Got new HP 22uh monitor-(CNK7180VTH), supports Wndws 10, downloaded driver recommended for display install/config & downlowded Dianostic pckge too. On monitor the full screen option is grey. Only displays in the center. Why won't it display full screen with both HP products? I tried it all.

Many of our G3 Machines are experiencing having the laptopscreen staying active even though the laptop is docked and is connected to two external monitors. The dockingstation being used is the 2013 ultraslim docking, and is being connected to external monitors through Displayport.
The machines are running Windows 10, build 15063.540. I have the latest Graphics Driver and i have flashed the dockingstation firmware to version 2.30.
