I TRIED INSTALLING ALL THE NEW UPDATES....... EXCEPT THE BIOS! IM NOT ABLE TO INSTALL THE NEW BIOS 8-8-2017, HAD SEVERAL FAILED INSTALLATION BEFORE THE UPDATE DISAPPEARED. THESE PHANTOM TOUCHES ARE MAKING THE USAGE OF MY LAPTOP HORRIFIC. SO HORRIFIC THAT I HAD TO DISABLE THE TOUCH SCREEN........ THAT IS SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTING, BECAUSE THAT IS WHY YOU BOUGHT THIS 2-IN-1 DEVICE AND ALSO THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE TO A PAY A PREMIUM PRICE FOR THIS PRODUCT. PLEASE SUGGEST HOW DO I FIX THIS......... BECAUSE THIS IS BROKE AS HELL!!!

Touchpad Firmware Failed Cant be Used
I have a 9480M elitebook and I accidentally updated the firmware of
the synaptic touchpad device with the firmware of the 9470M eliteebook
and now my 9480M elegant Touchpad is completely unusable for the various
ways I've started from reinstalling synaptic touchpad drivers to reinstalling
windows 7 operating system still can not be used synaptic touchpad
in my 9480M elitebook.
I strongly encourage Hewlett Packard's team to provide a Flex 9480M
TouchPad Folio Touchpad Update in the Synaptics Touchpad Firmware

Calibrate Monitor Color-- can't get the colors right.
I have been trying for hours to calibrate my display with Windows 10's color calibration, but the colors still don't look right. Either the white looks dingy, or the green is dingy, or both. This is so frusterating. I have tried everything I can think of and searched every place I can to find an answer or some help with this issue, but I'm still at square 1. Please help me!

840 G3 and Port Replicator issues; displaying across 3 screens
We were using HP Elitebook Folio 9480M, with HP or Dell Port Replicators and projecting across 3 screens.
We have started to receive a shipment of 840 G3s to replace the Folios. We have 1 user currently testing the 840 G3 and she is having a ton of issues with images dragging across the screen; Bloomberg add-ins not displaying properly and Bloomberg chat having the same issues.
We've had Bloomberg to come in to trouble shoot since it was happening with their product however, it was determined that there is something "missing" in the communication between the 840 G3s and the port replicators.
A docking station is not suitable for our environment. The issues do not occur when the laptop is not connected to the monitors.
Any ideas?

White horizontal 'static' lines/screen moving a little bit
So, I literally bought this laptop today. (HP Envy Notebook 15-as106nb)
I had the same issue the day before since I bought it the first time yesterday.
I've had to return it to the store and get another one thinking it wouldn't have the same issue since it's basically brand new.
When watching videos on Netflix, youtube,... sometimes, a white 'static' line appears for like a second and then disappears again. I get it like, once every 20 mins or so?
Or, I've also experienced that the screen would just move about less than an inch for a second as well and then returning to normal. I must say I haven't seen the lines appear while opening the internet for example.
Since it's new, and happened twice with two different laptops (the same type), I don't think it's just my bad luck.

HP Spectre faded black lines on screen.
Hello! My laptop fell out of my bag and onto a concrete street and despite being in a protective case it appears to have contracted some damage. There are two parallel vertical lines where the screen appears to be fading to black, I can still see screen behind these lines but despite having turned it off and turn it on again they are still there. I have attached a photo of said issue, this is around 3/4 hours after it was dropped.

Using External Monitor Dell U2711 (2560 x 1440) with ProBook 430 G4?
Hi There,
I've got my new notebook ProBook 430 G4 last week! Now, I'd like to use it with my (big) monitor Dell U2711 that has a resolution of 2560x1440 (WQHD).
As only option on the ProBook 430 G4 I can only use HDMI for output in such a resolution (see tech spec) but HDMI - HDMI didn't worked at all (only supported 1080p).
Now, how could I use my new notebook on my big screen? Is there any option for using HDMI - DVI cable? I've heard that this is not supported up to 2560x1440...

HP built in camera quality
Hello,
My laptop is brand new, its clean from all the sides so am sure the lens is not dirty or anything, but I still cleaned it, but still when I use the Camera app in windows 10, the quality is bad, there is a bit of blurriness and like light dark shadow moving, but when I take the picture its not there, but the quality is still bad and its a little blurred, I dont know how to exactly explain it, maybe the camera is like that by default? But as in the specs the camera is 720p 30 fps, I expected it to have a way better quality than this.
The drivers are up to date, I dont know what to do.
I have tried Cyberlink Youcam 7, same problem happens. Is the normal camera of Hp pavilion 14-al105ne like this or is there something wrong with my laptop.

hdmi not displaying
Hello , Please Please somebody help before i go through the hassle of returning this 10mth old notebook 
my Hdmi port does not seem to be working , i have tested the cables , tried a system restore , it was working fine without problems but in the last few times using it i noticed slight flashing on the screen ? now im getting nothing at all when tryint o connect my notebook to the TV ?

Connect HP Envy x360 to Dell UltraSharp 25 Monitor
Hello. I have a new HP Envy x360 laptop and would like to use with 2nd monitor, Dell UltraSharp 25.
I also have Targus docking station (4 years old).
The connectors that came with the monitor are not compatible with either the laptop or the docking station. Can I make this work? and if so, what kind of cables do I need? Or should I look for a different docking station?

HP Spectre x360 - 15-ap012dx Cracked Screen
The screen cracked 2 weeks ago. The computer has never been dropped or abused. I assume the act of opening and closing flex the screen enough times to cuase a stress facture which turned into a crack. This is very dissapointing for a computer little over a year old to develop a crack like this.
Since this computer is out of warranty I figured there was no solution to help and I am a competant computer technician. Here is the problem I ran into.
Third party vendors suck with your screens, one already shipped to me was comsetically damanged. The old screen has already been removed and is ready for a new screen.
What I need from you is where to order a new screen and new bezel. While the old bezel is still useable the glue is not, so I assume a new bezel will come with the adheasive required for placing in a new screen.
But what I see from the forums this seems to be a very common problem for the spectre 360 line. If all i need to do is send in my screen for replacement then that is what i will do

Choppy scrolling on 15.6 inch spectre x360
I have a problem where scrolling on my spectre x360 is often very choppy. It happens on any saved document that I try and scroll through, such as on Word or Excel or a PDF viewed in chrome. In addition to documents, it also happens in some programs like spotify and iTunes. It also seems to happen the worst when the document I am viewing has a lot of content. So far I have tried to update my drivers and restart my computer but nothing has changed.
Has anyone experienced this and/or have a fix for it?
