The system has 2 usb ports, both show in the device manager as "unknown usb device" in compliance mode.  Also the intel management engine interface has an error by it.

 

windows 10 64 bit

tried the following.

disabling and enabling devices

looking for better drivers, best being used.

tried the setup to change usb to 2.0 on boot, only choice is upon boot.

tried installing ALL chipset drivers, rebooting after all were done.

Unit knows a device is plugged in,  device works on another system, tried external kb and mouse, no luck

 

thoughts?

Just took laptop out of the box after sitting for 6 weeks. Probook 6570B the fan runs but no boot up just black screen.

i recently chaged my laptop screen due to some pixel defects and also have installed windows 10 recently when i scroll down using the double finge slide on the touch pad the screen goes off something like sleep and comes back later whe i slide a single finger more or rapidly typing... please help me if possible...

Hello to everybody out there! 2 months ago I purchased a HP Pavilion 15-aw001nv and from the first day I am trying with all ways to find a solution to my problem. 

 

The problem is the AMD graphics cards doesnt work with Adobe Illustrator GPU Prformance. The graphic cards are:

 

AMD Radeon(TM) R5 Graphics (onboard)

+

AMD Radeon™ R7 M440 Graphics (4 GB DDR3 dedicated) 

= 

AMD Radeon(TM) R8 M445DX

 

Before buying my laptop i checked with the Adobe website and it says:

 

AMD

 

The following series are supported only on Windows 8 or later:

• AMD Radeon R9 Series Graphics
• AMD Radeon R7 Series Graphics
• AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series Graphics
• AMD Radeon HD 8000 Series Graphics
• AMD FirePro V Series Graphics
• AMD FirePro W Series Graphics

so i figured out that R7 should work and I buyed it.

 

First when I saw the R8 which is the crossfire version of R7 i thought that this was the problem and I found this link in HP website but I cant download the link I have tried more than 20 times.

I have tried to update unistall reinstall drivers from the AMD site from HP support but no solution. 

Anyone with the same problem???

Recently my Envy 17 touchsmart -J102tx , touchscreen stop functioning. I have  perfromed

system Diagnostics ( UEFI)

--->  component test

---> Touchscreen (both avalable test)

there was no responce. Is there any hardware problem.

Hi there.  The screen continues to be black even though i have followed all insrtuctions of how to fix it.  Power buttn will nor turn off unless battery is removed.  I can hear the fan.  Screen continues to be black.  This is a brand new lap top and has worked fine previously.    Please help, i need it for school.

I seem to of lost the display.
I power the unit up and the power light is on and the caps lock key flashes. But I have no display, I have tried the hard bios reset instructions and to start with once releasing the battery the unit beeped as per the instructions but then nothing else, so I retried but now I get no beeps but the power and caps light still on. I also tried connecting to a TV via hdmi and still nothing?

HP is a typical mega corporation: zero focus, zero interesting in people.

 

If they had focus they would make this thing an cintiq equivalent, the laptop is very good, artists would love it.

 

If they had some interest in people you would have received your answer and engineers would get to work.

Hi , after some driver updates , my touch screen no longer works or even shows

up in device manger under human interfaces . I ust need to reinstall the right driver

for the touch and have looked but cant find it. found touchpad but no touch screen.

I have the HP Notebook - 15-f387wm(Touch) running win10 preview build.

My LCD is broken. How do I fix it and will it cost anything?

I was on vacation and i went into Starbucks to work on school papers that i needed to turn in and my screen had a thick, black line running across it and it was changing colors. I took it Best Buy and they told me my LCD was broken. How do i fix that? What will it cost?

Hy, I have hp pavilion 15 au172tx which has 4gb nvidia 940MX. some time my laptop screen gose black for less then a second and back to normal without any error .
I am using windows 10 creator update also with latest driver. is that normal?? or could be issue with GPU??

For the past month I have been expriencing problem with my Nvidia Graphics Card. Last month I realized that the Nvidia Driver wasn't installed on my laptop. So I went to the hp driver support page to reinstall it the driver. Whenever I would try to install the driver i would get this error message, "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue. This graphics Driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I'm not sure what caused the error but hope it can be resolved. 

 

I beleive the graphics card I have is "nvidia geforce gt 740m".

Hi users,

 

Recently bought a new HP Envy 13 laptop (still less than a week). The laptop is performing very well, but from the first day I have been very reluctant with the display colour output. With the default setting, the 'natural' colour reproduction is off white (not pure brilliant white). It has a yellow, warmish tint to the display and it is uncomfortable to use. And, Night Time mode  on Windows 10 is OFF. 

 

I compare the Hp Envy 13 screen to others like the MacBook Pro and Surface, and the colour reproduction/temperature is not similar or on par at all which is slighty worrying. 

 

Question - is it naturally suppose to be a yellow warmish tint? is the display faulty?

 

Colour calibration does somewhat help, but I want to find the root why the new HP Envy 13 have this issue.

As title says, right now i'm want to save all my stuffs to another laptop but i cant do that because i cant see anything on the screen so i want to connect the screen to the TV screen instead. However, ive tried the Fn + F4 but no response from the TV. I have tried everything i could think off and the hdmi cable works fine with the other good laptop. I cant seem to log on also in the laptop and i cant figure out why. The laptop wasnt turned off properly so maybe thats why i couldn't log on? I tried pressing f2 upon starting up then tried fn + f4 but the tv screen still no response. Also tried windows + p and 3 times down arrow but no luck.

My webcam has suddenly disappeared. I have the YouCam software installed but when I open You Cam I get the following error message: No Webcam detected.  Try plugging in a webam into your computer now. If you are using  an integrated camera make sure that it is turned on.

I am uable to play any sort of videos on my computer: personal videos, youtube, Netflix, etc. I have done hp support 3 times, and every time, they fix the problem for 1 day and then the videos stop working. What do I do? The only things that pop up are when i try to play netflix and it says, cannot play video at this time. I did not have this problem when I first bought the laptop. It is only a year old and I bought it new. Thank you for your help.

I purchased a DisplayPort to HDMI converter cable to connect to an HP monitor.  I own two HP monitors - One is an HP Compaq LA 1956x. The other is an HP EliteDisplay E19Oi. Neither one of them detects a signal from the laptop (a 2017 HP Pavilion x360 citing "No Signal."

 

In case you need to know: Laptop purchased July 2017. Monitors are about two or maybe 3 years old. I also have another HP laptop which is a 32 bit 2016 HP ProBook 640 G2 and it detects just fine.  Any idea why and how to fix that you can share would be appreciated.

 

Yes, I know I can wirelessly connect to a TV which is great BUT I'd rather use the monitors when the TV is not available.
