I recently purchased a custom built HP Spectre directly from HP. I unboxed it yesterday, June 24th. I soon discovered an issue with the inputs lagging. 

 

It only occurs when on battery power. The mouse and keyboard will freeze and be unresponsive for anywhere between 2-30 seconds. I've had the Task Manager open while the issue is occurring and it revealed nothing out of the ordinary. I have tried updating drivers for everything in the Device Manager, resetting Windows on the pc and uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers for the battery. None of them have remedied the issue. If I plug in the charging cord and the machine is charging, then there is no problem. I'm suspecting a hardware issue, but I cannot say for sure.

Hello, I am aashay purchased a notebook PC from HP model no. RO33tx which has dedicated graphics(Nvidia 820m 2gb). whenever I use it with  any game no matter if it is of low-end graphics or high-end one my dedicated graphics never work up to that level. even when I use my Intel HD to play them they work completely normal i could not understand why this happens tried almost every trick to make my graphic card work with more efficiency but still not got any betterment. tried playing NFS most wanted 2012, resident Resident4 , evil 5 . i am facing this issue since the beginning . i have also contacted Nvidia for this issue they asked me to contact the laptop manufacturer. 

 

I watched many gameplay video on youtube working on nvida 820m and on my specs they works super smooth but why I am facing this issue I could not understand.

Hello!

I have a small problem with special symbols and keys F1, F2, etc. My keyboard activates special symbol, when I press F1, F2, etc. But when I press fn key and F1, it activates F1. How can I change it?

I have  a 2005pr USB 2.0 Port replicator and have plugged into my new HP Pavilion x360 13'.

 

The replicator recognises the USB interfaces and earphones etc, however will not recognise the VGA monitor. I have added a VGA >HDMI adapter and plugged into the VGA port and still no recognition. I have tried two different monitors which I know have worked on other laptops.

 

Any idea's??

I got my laptop six months ago, recently there has been a black line on my laptop, the line is short about 5cm long, has a few white dots it comes onto my screen occasionally but only stays there for about half a second then goes away again. To get rid of this line i tried to perform a soft reset on my laptop which i have done, but now the line has come from the  bottom right hand corner to  the top left hand corner and after the reset when i switch on my laptop it is quite slow to set up the apps and my volume and brightness buttons are unresponsive at times. Urgent?????? Please help?????

Just got quote back from HP for fixing cracked screen - AUD $1333.41!!  You can buy the same computer brand new for AUD$2799.  And there is no service centre in Australia so you have to pay $80 to send it overseas for repairs and still AUD $120 per hour for labour.  Outrageous costs.  I will not be fixing at that price and will buying another brand for my next purchase.  Pity because I really likes this laptop but it's costs are not worth it with this pricing.

Despite my flash notebook being 3 months  old, HP will not do anything abput my cracked screen ( cracked opening it ! ! !) does anyone know of a repair centre or grpup other tahn HP ? I am UK Preston (NW) area.

I am using HP PAVILION DM3 NOTEBOOK PC  SERIAL NO. CNC949264J.

My screen on my notebook has lost colour . Earlier This problem will happen then I downloaded ATI RADEON GRAPHICS DRIVER. It works well   6 TO 7 SEVEN MONTHS  THERE AFTER MY NOTEBOOK SCREEN HAS LOST COLOUR . PLEASE HELP US IMMEDIATELY.

How do i get the touchscreen to work on my HP 15-AY014DX? I've checked in Device manager, Control anel etc and there is nothing pertaining to touchscreen. Also does this model have Bluetooth?

In built camera of my laptop is not working.I've tried everything but no resutls found.

Driver is up to date.

After opening camera it shows only black screen and nothing at all.

After clicking the button for taking picture , camera got freezed..

If any solution plz share..

First i saw a small effect on the left siide of my display.few days later when i start my computer i found full screen pink and few vertical pink lines.

Hello,

 

I would like to upgrade my current internal video card on my Envy Dv7-7333cl notebook. I currently have an AMD Radeon 7660G Display adapter. What are my  hardware options out there I can use to upgrade what I currently have? Also, what would you suggest is the most compatible upgrade available? Any help would be much appreciated.

We have broken/cracked the glass screen on a two year old Spectre x360.  The display and computer are still working.  The product warranty has expired.  Any suggestions on if and where we can get it fixed?

When i try to conect the monitor by right click display settings detect monitor, no monitor is found.

Likewise when I used the HP monitor software, it will not run as no monitor is found.

 

 

Computer:

Monitor:

Dell Ultrasharp 25 monitor U2525H

 

Conection:

I have the HP display adaptor that came with the Spectre pluged into the 2nd USBC port from the back.

I have an HDMI cable pluged into this going to the DP in port on the monitor.

 

Software:

I have installed the HP driver and monitor software, and checked it is Windows 10 compatable.  I have run updated for HP, Dell, and Windows.  I have restarted.

 

I have checked I am not in to output plugs etc, and have swaped pligs to be sure.  The monitor is recognising an input into the DP plug as when i unplug it it says no plug.  But it is black.

 

power is on, there is a power light on the monitor.

 

I have a different extrenal monitor at home that works pluged in the same way, so the cable is not the issue.

 

I had an earlier external monitor at work, which did not work with the spectre.  I gave that to another team member as i was told it might not be windows 10 compatible, or support the connection throught USBC, so I have purcahsed this new monitor which i'm told would be compatable, and it is still not working.

 

I have read the manual, looked online, and its still not working.  I'm at a loss what to do next.  I hope you can help!

Hi hp,

 

I just change my os from win 10 to win 8.1 and i found that my multi finger gesture is not working in my mouse touchpad . I update my laptop and all things are uptodate also i re-start my system sever times but still problem can't solve and this gesture is very imp and usefull with out this i face my problems

     Hello, All:

 

    The screen backround for w10 is windows with white light shining, beautiful !

 

     My favorite screen background for pc  is LIGHT Green /Blue.  To do that one way is:

 

                                       start > setting > personality > background

 

     There are 24 Dark colors and a white color.

 

      Where to obtain LIGHT Green/Blue color for screen background !?

Here is a video of the mouse jumping around; the first 10 seconds is me moving the mouse in a circle and the next 10 seconds is when I am not touching anything.

 

This issue started to occur after a few months I got the laptop but it was not very often so it was too bothersome and sometimes a restart would fix the issue. But the problem became worse and worse and now it would not stop jumping around.

 

I have tried disabling the mouse, touchpad, and touchscreen but I could still see the pointer moving.  I also have done both windows reset where you save your data and then the one where you lose it but that didn't do anything. I also did a full factory reset but the problem still persists.

 

I also do not what that small cross means is when it jumps around just to let you know if that's anything important.

I have a ZBook Studio G3 laptop with a ZBook Dock with Thunderbolt 3 and a Z34C monitor connected via DisplayPort on the dock. I'm attempting to configure the Z34C using the HP Display Assistant, but it's not detecting the monitor. At the bottom it shows a "DDC/CI Communication" alert box. If I connect the Z34C directly to the laptop via HDMI everything functions as expected.

 

Any ideas??
