I am trying to use a design program but it is lagging. I contacted thier tech support and they respoded as follows:

 

Based on your computer specs I see that you are currently running a integrated graphics card instead of a dedicated grapics card. This could be the result of why the file is responding slowly. Please try to switch your graphics card into dedicated graphics from device manager and then try agian.

 

Is this possible to do on the Spectre x360?

 

If it is possible how do I go about doing it?

Every time my screen is on something dark, my brightness goes down (even though it stays at 100%). I'm getting annoyed by this since I've tried turning adaptive brightness off and it's not working.

 

What else is there to do?

Hello! I am having an issue when I have my notebook charging my performance drops dramatically.

I go from 50fps to 5fps. When I unplug, I bounce back up. I have tried updating the BIOS and checking power management options. Not sure of my next step.
15-p214dx is my model number.

Trying to play a DVD on new Hp computer. Cant seem to find a program to play it. Seems to be requesting me to buy a DVD app. I just paid over 700 for this computer and I have to buy a DVD Player App now? Help me out here!

The screen of the HP Pavilion stays black, but will output to an external, and the touchscreen digitizer still responds, but only shows on the external. 

 

lried hard reset. tried new cable, screen, etc...

Hi there.

 

My laptop recently crashed and had to have Windows 7 (64bit Home Premium) re-installed from scratch, and I've been re-installing all the products I had on it.

 

I have re-installed Cubase 8 but when I tried to launch it i got the following message: "DWM composition is not running. Please switch to an Aero theme."

 

Switching to an Aero theme made no difference, so I used the Aero troubleshooter and got this message: "Video card driver does not support Aero effects".

 

Just to be clear, I never had this problem before! I bought the laptop refurbished so obviously it had the appropriate software already installed at that point, and now I have lost it.

 

I have been searching online for a suitable driver, but they either have disclaimers along the lines of "we cannot be held responsible for any damage to your PC" (very reassuring), or my anti-virus says they are infected with malware.

 

Can anyone please show me where I can find a driver that will work with my Pavilion dv6? (model number: B1S87EA#ABU, product number: dv6-7053ea, serial number 2CE219152J)

I have HP Pavillon 11 X360 convertible PC. I upgraded my windows to 10. I didn't love windows 10 and later again i degraded to windows 8.1. My touchscreen was perfectly working upto windows 10 but after degrading to windows 8.1 my touchscreen doesn't works at all. There is no HID-Touchscreen too in device driver menu and it also says "No pen or touch input avilable for this dispaly". Please help me with this problem.

My HP Notebooks P4JI6EA#A2N has drivers on OS Windows 7 32 bit. Not able to download drivers from internet. windows showing message, windows could not find driver. i did almost each and every thing. installed almost every thing but still.
please... :-(
more many games not working. i searched many times and then found that drivers not competible (i think)

hi so this is my problem

suddenly my screen went black and then each time I reboot it, it goes to black but works fine on safe mode

I searched here and I tried a good device:

 

I actually did the first method and deactivated the graphic display driver through safe mode

and the normal mode worked again...but of course, the resolution is not good

I tried to update the driver on the internet but windows search for updates didn't find any and said that this version is the last version

so what do you suggest?

 

let me add that when the problem started it gave me a blue screen "with writing in it explaining the problem and I seem to remember that it said that I should unplug any new devices recently added and of course I had no new devices" at first few times before it proceeds to the black screen

also, let me add that my hp g62 is very old like 6 years old and it always overheats

When the screen is displaying a dark color, there is a faint yellow glow near the hinges. It gets brighter if the computer is on my lap, dimmer if I close the screen slightly, and fades a lot when I have the machine on a table. I have it on the table now, and I can only see the glow if I pay attention to it. I am concerned because my previous laptop's hinges failed after the warranty expired.

I am freaking out, yesterday my pavilion g6 was fine, today I had no cursor and the touchpad is apparently not working. I am the original technodolt and really need help. I've tried pressing every FN and f key, I have tried a hard rebooot, but no luck. My pavilion is an oldie but a goodie. Please help!

I accidentally flashed my Touchpad (Synaptics TM2960 920-002748-02) with SP65951.EXE for UNWANTED behaviour and got Dead! I dont need any Expertise Solution. As I know, this is a Firmware issue not the Drivers, I only need the Original Firmware file for the above mentioned model. Please help me providing the Original firmware file link ASAP. Thanks.

Hi!

 

 

My Chromebook screen becomes dark and keeps blinking. Every time I adjust the brightness in full level the light always turning off ( fully blackout) that needs to restart so that the light will on again.

 

 

Please help me for this issue.

I can't get videos to load on any browser I use.  IE, Edge or Chrome.  This problem has been on and off for a couple months now.  It seems to happens every few weeks after something updates.

I recently opened up my HP spectre to see that the screen had craked from the top down to the bottom. Now I would understand it cracking if some sort of pressure was applied or it was dropped, but I placed it in my backpack and the next time I opened it the crack was there. I have looked at other topics on this forum and it appears that this is a recurring issue with the spectre. I have also researched how much it costs to get it fixed and discovered it will cost around $300 which I frankly find ridiculious especially because this appears to be a defect with this computer. I want to know how I can resolve this issue without paying a ridiculious price.

Hello, while scrolling through the comments on a youtube video the other day a horizontal strip (roughly 2-3 inches high from one side to the other) appeared on the screen. It was black and appeared to have green writing on it, though it was so quick that it was hard to tell if it was writing. It only lasted for a second but it happened again just now.

 

My laptop is around 6 months old and is free of any viruses according to my antivirus software and I haven't dropped it/spilled anything on it. The only way it may have been damaged is from having it loose in a bag on journeys.

 

I was wondering if this is down to a software glitch or physical damage or if it's something more serous.

I bought a new hp envy x360 M6-AQ105DX from a best buy outlet, liked it very much during startup, but when I see the screen with black/dark background there is a kind of white light back lit in all around the edges of the screen. Is it a problem with the display or I just have to adjust the setting to rectify it. Please help...

I have an HP 430 G3 with Win 10 creators update.  I am trying to use it with the Microsoft Display adapter.

 

Everytime I try and connect to the display adapter I receive a message stating "error connecting".

 

Havee poked around a variety of forums and am not able to find why this is happening.

 

Any help / insight wold be greatly appreciated.
