I recently changed my hard drive and installed a new windows 10 pro. The problem is the display window leaves a gap to left and right side of the screen. Please help if it is possible.

HP Active Pen in Ash Silver
I bought the Spectre x360 about 8 months ago in ash silver and copper. At the time, I didn't see the need to have a stylus to use with it, but now after using it and figuring out what I do most often with it, a stylus would be helpful. I know the Active Pen is what is supposed to work with my laptop, but I would like it to be in the same color. The only color option available is the silver. Is it possible to purchase the stylus in the darker ash silver so it matches my laptop?

My mouse is going crazy
Well, whenever I open my laptop the mouse keeps going wild and opening and closing things on its own. It appears at the right corner. Its pretty annoying. Plz help

Touchscreen won't work, driver disappeared
My touchscreen stopped working all of a sudden. I updated my computer but the touchscreen still won't work. I checked the driver in the device manager under the "Human Interface Devices" option and there is no "HID compliant touch screen" driver. I checked in the settings to see if the computer still recognized itself as having a touchscreen, but it doesn't. Under "pen and touch options" it says "no pen or touch input is available for this display".
This happened after my computer fell asleep for about an hour while I cooked. My computer has recieved updates intermitently over the past few days. I had updated it today twice after the touchscreen stopped working suddenly. There have been no error messages of any kind. This is not the first time this has happened, usually the touchscreen just starts working again suddenly. But this is the first time I've reached out about it.
PS I'm not a tech savvy person at all.

Cyberlink Power 2 Go for my YouCam 7 has disappeared. It keeps saying no web detected, YouCam5 too.
The YouCams are not working. I have both version 5 that came with the laptop. Then updated it to YouCam 7. YouCam 5's icon has disappeared from the desktop, but YouCam 7 is still there, but it doesn't work. It says no web detected. How can they be fixed?

Turn off top touch panel
Over the keyboard there is a touch panel with sound settings and wi-fi turn on/turn off. Sound settings are stuck (so minus or plus is blinking) and everything hangs. Could I do something with that or just turn off this panel? How could I turn it off?

Bluetooth mouse issues when using an additional display connected via HDMI slot
Hi. I am becoming increasingly frustrated by not being able to use an additional screen becuase of issues with the mouse. it seems to work fine for a bit and then becomes jumpy and difficult to control.
these are the things is have tried so far:
1. different bluetooth mice: a) hp x3000 and; b) hp x5500 - no difference - yes i have tried reconnecting and changing the batteries and repositioning the dongles, mouse positions - yes they both work on other devices.
2. hdmi to vga adapaters: 2 different ones - no difference Also tried HDMI to HDMI with Sony TV - no difference
3. different monitors / tv: hp LE2202x monitor / Sony Bravia TV - no difference
4. rebooting / restarting: no difference
5. trying to follow some of the links on this website for information: I get this message- 'Error 404: There is no content available'

my computer screen looks possesed and moves around by itself making it impossible to use
I just recently got my computer in August. I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is because its never been dropped or had anything spilt on it. The problem is hard to explain but often at random times my computer screen, whatever is pulled up will start bouncing around or moving by itsself, zooming in and out and little dots will show up that look like there is pressure on the screen. it happens sometimes in the middle of writing a paper or sometimes just right when i turn the computer on wheather its plugged into the charger or not, wheather im using the touch screen or mouse and wheather im connected to wifi or not. when this happens i cant move the mouse or click anything i usually just restart the computer. while this is happening, almost always a page pops up from the Hp support assistant but im not sure what to do.I brought ot to best buy, , the store where it was purchased, i showed them videos of what was happening they said theyve never seen that before. but they said id have to pay almost four hundred dollars to fix it and they didnt know what was wrong with the computer. They told me to update all the software and i did thet yet nothing has changed. Any advise woud be helpful. Thankyou.

I can't switch graphics in my notebook.
Hello! I don't know right now how to do this. First, I'm sorry for my language, but how you can know guys i'm from Poland, but let's start. Me and my friend were trying to switch graphics to get better performance in games, but the computer still works in intel graphics and don't thinks about AMD R5 M430. We were downloading newest version of drivers for AMD, nothing... changing power to high performance from saving energy and regular, I looked in the BIOS and there weren't any option about GPU... I was in HP page and I downloaded official drivers to graphics card, I don't know what I can do now. Please someone can help me?

Probook 6540b doesn't play DVD's after Windows 10 upgrade
After upgrading to Winddows 10 from Windows 7, I can't play DVD's. Windows Media Player doesn't see the disk, and VLC can browse the folders on a DVD but can't play the DVD.
Device Manager shows 3 unkown devices. Trying to update them fails.

PSA: The 2017 Spectre x360 15 4K display might be fake. Pre-order at your own risk.
The display in the 2016 model of the HP Spectre x360 15 4K turned out not to be as advertised, and it is possible that they are using the same display in the new model. The 2016 HP Spectre x360 15 display used the RG/BW Pentile matrix to more or less "cheat" the ability to advertise as 4K UHD 3840x2160, without actually providing the full detail of the resolution.

The new one could be using a completely different display, but given HP's track record with pentile I would say it is better to wait for reviews in order to confirm that.

HP Envy
I recent purchased an HP ENVY Notebook 17t-u000 CTO (2017 model)
I have had 2 previous laptops in the 17t series before this one. All of them has BluRay drives.
So I purchased the 2017 model assumign it would too, but it appears it is only a DVD drive.
I am sure that in the previous models, the Device Manager in Windows showed the drive had a "BD" in its name.
Now it just says DVD.
I am just wnating to confirm if it or not.

This is my laptop details. Please confirm if it was suppose to be BluRay, because I purchased item from an Authorized Reseller, who made changes to this laptop orginal hardware specs. For example, HP had the laptoplisted as 256GB SSD and 16GB of DDR4 RAM, but the seller put in a 512GB SSD and 32GB of RAM for just a little more.
Also if this doesnt have a BluRay Drive, then where can I get one for this model? Thanks

long press of arrow keys prompt a perpetual (irreversible) uppercase keyboard
Hi All,
I'm new to this forum, I'm a novice and I'm frustrated so please excuse any 'please repeat' or 'walk me through' requests.
I have an HP pavillion x2 with 2 problems:
1. if i long press the arrow keys, it sets my keyboard to perpetual unchangeable -unless I restart- uppercase. And from thereon if i access the internet, instead of openning a new tab -for any search- it will open a new window. this leaves me with multiple windows instead of multiple tabs. this can only be undone if i restart.
2. If i shut off or 'sleep' and access later, a small light on (I think the wifi) key flashes red. I will press the start button (on the outside), long press, which will then shut off the laptop (red light turns momentarily white and the off completely) and then i would have to press the start button again , the light on the key (i think wifi key) would now flash white and the laptop would start. (displaying tha the laptop was not shut of correctly before)
Any advise what to do. No warranty as i bought second hand)

Spectre x360 screen cracked!
Hello, upon opening my laptop today I saw my screen had cracked nastily around the bottom left hinge, the crack has spread around the left sides of the screen, it might crack further if I continue to use the it. I have had to disable to touchscreen as the damage prevents it from working.
I kept my laptop in the case provided every single day, and it received no knocks. I simply opened it and saw the damage. I have seen others on your forums with the same issue. What are my options? HP says my warrenty has run out but this really seems to be a design defect, and my laptop is still being covered by European 2 year guarentee.

Disable tablet mode in Envy x360 laptop?
I want to disable tablet mode so the keyboard remains active when I open the screen 360 degrees (I want to use the computer and its on-board keyboard with an external monitor.)
I have been to Settings/tablet mode. I don't see a general toggle to turn it off. I have set it to always open in desktop mode, and to ask me before switching to tablet. I always tell it no, but it turns off the keyboard anyway.
I know the machine CAN do what I want -- if I open the screen to 360 over and over, once in a while the keyboard stays active for me. Seems entirely random, though. Any insight?

HP Spectre x360 HDMI Monitor Issue
Hello,
I just opened my HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl0xx and i was able to plug in a monitor via HDMI and it worked fine. Then I updated the BOIS as per the alert and update I got through the HP Support Assistant, and now the monitor will no longer work. I know it is working as it is fine with other computers, but I can not get it to work with my Spectre now.
