Hi,
I am using HP ENVY TouchSmart m6-k125dx Sleekbook (ENERGY STAR) since 2014 but recently the tocuhscreen stopped working after an update (Windows 10).
I reverted the changes but no use. Restored back to factory default setup (recovery option) but in vain.
Tried all the drivers available on support for the laptop model but nothing worked.
I am sure the touch screen is not damaged. When looked into device drivers, it does not show HID complaint touch screen.
System setting display "No touch screen available for this laptop"
Please help to restore the touch screen. Touchsmart without touchscreen is painful.
Any kind of assistance will be appreciated.
Thanks.
I bought this laptop now 4 months and after 1 month began to work difficult, I reinstalled Windows 4 times and keeps going slower. NFS Carbon works in 5 FPS 1 minute form 10 to 10 minutes and many other games do this too. Sorry for my bad english.
Apart from the whole laptop suddenly become slow and sluggish, whenever I try to use this on lifting the lid the screen comes on and immediately goes blank, this happens up to six times, the only way I could get this to work was to take the power lead out, now this does not work either, it does also go off in the middle using this, and of course if the power gets low whilst using the laptop, I have to switch power on and the screen goes blank again, I notice that this HP laptop is a Lenova, and if I had been told this when buying it, I would have preferred not to have done. Sneaky of HP not to state this, I bought this direct from HP and not from a shop.
I trust a suitable reply will be forthcoming shortly

Hey all,
I have been experiencing some issues with my HP Envy 17 3002ea recently. After a certain period of time, although this can differ, the screen will either go blank with static vertical lines or go black and will not recover unless the computer is restarted. This issue occurs regardless of workload.
I can still hear the internal components such as the hdd and fans as well as the LEDs remaining on when this issue occurs. All tests that I ran on the RAM showed no issues and the battery is perfect, the system also runs fine when plugged-in. I don't believe that the issue is with the screen, as when I connect the laptop to a monitor via HDMI or DVI there is no picture displayed.
All Intel and AMD drivers are up-to-date and the BIOS boots up just fine when the computer is turned off and back on. I am lead to believe that it could be a heating issue, despite temperatures being reasonable during monitoring, I understand that this is an older laptop and it could benefit from a new application of thermal compound and possibly copper shims. It could also be a faulty GPU, any guidance and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Apologies if this problem has been posted before but I have genuinely searched and searched and can't find anyone with this same problem. I have attached a photo showing the current state of my display. It have large black lines across it which continue to grow. Initially the screen had a couple of black areas (few pixels) but over time they have grown so that it is difficult to use the laptop. Now the strange thing - I connected up an external monitor to check whether or not it was the graphics card and the display on the monitor was perfect. So I assumed that it was the LCD display. I purchased a new screen and fitted it today expecting the problem to be gone but no ! same black lines in the same place.
Has anybody any ideas at all ? or do I just chuck the laptop - which would be a shame and I don't really want the expense of a new one.

Hello! I have an issue with amd switchable graphics on my laptop. When I run the game(gta 5) amd discrete graphics card(Radeon R7 M260) is not using. The game runs with integated graphics adapter(Radeon HD 8610G) so it is not smooth.
P.S.: sorry for my bad English. I'm looking forward for your reply.
Has done since I first tried it.

I dropped my laptop a few years ago, and the screen is now displaying something similar to the link below:
This laptop has a VGA port, but no HDMI port. The laptop seems to be turning on fine. I simply can't see the screen.
It turns out that the monitor I have will not display the computer. It states that there is no cable until I connect the VGA to the laptop and then the monitor turns off and the button turns orange.
Any ideas as to what I am doing incorrectly? I've tried hitting F4 with and without hitting the right arrow three times, and it doesn't change anything.
Is it possible to use an adapter to display the VGA on HDMI? Are the “injuries” internal and far more serious than the LCD screen issue? Are the laptop and monitor incompatible?
Any ideas as to what I am able to do without replacing the screen? I don't want to spend a large amount of money on something I likely won't use if I am able to retrieve the information I need to from the laptop.
Thank you in advance!

hi all,
the screen on my notebook cuts out randomly, unless you wedge your finger between the screen and body of the laptop next to the left hand hinge, so obviously a loose connection. the support site is useless, i just want to book it in for repair under warranty (still 7 months to go). any help would be great
cheers
