Hi. I have a HP Slatebook14- I've recently started to have problems when using the device which I believe is due to an issue with the touch screen. Basically if the device is on for more than 30 minutes then the right side of the touchscreen seems to become fixed as if permant pressure is being applied. So the screen will continually swipe right. Or the settings bar will contsantly flicker on and off, or multiple internet windows will popiulate.
is there anything that I can do to resolve this
At the top and the bottom of the screen horizontal lines are flickering and intermittantly moves the screen in a vertical direction. I tried to resolve using hard reset method but no luck. it would be really helpful if someone can assist with their valuable solution. Thank you!

I just installed win7 64-bit and i can't use the touch pad properly (scroll), the mute button works but the LED doesn't, also when i increase/decrease the volume/screen brightness, the pop-up that show my volume (20-30-70 etc) or the brightness scale don't show up; but the keys work.
I don't know if it has something to do with SM Bus Controller, but im missing the driver (sorry, tried my best to find it but i failed).

How do I get video output from my new Spectre D2 - there is no indication if either of the USB C ports can output either HDMI or VGA via a convertor. I give lectures as part of my job so I need to be able to connect to projectors of various kinds
My HP Powerbook 4440s goes black when I plug into a projector. The projector says no signal. I tried a differnet computer and it connected right away to the projector. I have uninstalled and reinstalled (from intel website) the graphics card driver and rebooted and it was still going black. I have set the settings in the control panel and used windows + p to select duplicate. Everytime I plug the VGA in the screen goes black and when I unplug it my control panel and windows +p settings are back to computer only.
What stylus is comaptible with the 2016 HP Spectre x360 13-4116DX? I cannot find one listed in accessories for the computer, but the HP rep in Best Buy last night told me I would find one on the HP site. Can't find one... Thanks! Tamara4

I have struggled with this topic since the day I received my laptop. But last night, on TV I saw a commercial for HP's Spectre 360 and the whole commercial was about using an active stylus. I grew increasingly furious. I have been told (after buying the laptop from HP) that my model does not support using a stylus--although when I bought it I was told that it was compatible.
Is there any chance that a fix will ever be provided? I have the HP Spectre x360 - 13t-4200 CTO

I have noticed here on the board that the font size changing on it's own has been a problem for several years. I too am having the same trouble and have to manually change it several times a day. I am on facebook a lot and when I am trying to comment on a post or type my own post is when the problem seems to occur.
Has anyone find a solution to this problem?????
Hi I've HP ENVY Notebook - m7-n011dx for a year and a couple of months now , it was operating perfectly for the past year but recently it starts lagging after playing for a while.
I tried :
1- recovering the original windows.
2- installing custom windows.
3- updating the drivers and bios.
4- replacing the harddrive.
5- cleaning the air vents and applying new thermal grease to the processor and graphics card (although i'm not experiencing any heat issues)
6- swapping the memory slots.
but there were no difference still the same problem,
please help as i'm out of options.
My tablet mode has stopped working since the last Windows update. I tried resetting the laptop, however that did not work.
I have a little black box in the bottom right hand corner of my screen and it gets in the way when I want to touch something in the corner. But it only comes up on a few apps like Netflix and it comes up on the desktop. I really want to get rid of it. Do you know how?

Event Sequence:
1. I have external mouse connected (Logitech Anywhere MX mouse)
2. I was reading my notes in Microsoft Office OneNote
3. Not touching my mouse, mousepad or touchscreen
4. Suddenly my mouse pointer acts like I was rapidly clicking or tapping at the screen (theres is a touch indicator, a square)
5. Moving my mouse moves the pointer briefly but then it blinks back to the original position where there is a square touch indicator
6. Tried unplugging the mouse, nothing happen
7. Finally able to restart my laptop by fighting the glitch and hitting the restart icon
8. After restart the problem dissapear
This is the 2nd time this happened and I'm looking for a fix

I wanted to disable my in-built keyboard because 'windows help and support' kept popping up everytime I had to work. I followed the steps: Device Manager -> Keyboards -> HID PS2 Keyboard and, Uninstalled it instead of disabling it.
Consequences :
1. My in-built wasnt responding(which was fine for me)
2. My touch pad isn't working( this was obvious)
3. I have an external keyboard and mouse to support me but, now, my ports aren't ready to respond because of the missing drivers.
So, I have no way out.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate, which isn't being displayed in the drop down menu of hp's driver support(tried downloading the drivers from this site, too).
Please help !!
I Bought a HP Probook laptop. I am not feeling comfortable with the mousepad in Laptops, HP has to improve the Mousepad during the upcoming manufacturing units. I can rate 1 out of 5 for HP mousepad in laptops. And too they have to provide a solution for theexisting users.
Here is the example. Cursor is not on the last character. If I continue typing the curor will stay 1 or with time 2+ characters, always not on the end of word. Did anyone face this issue?

After re-installing Windows 10, as advised by HP, I was left with no onscreen cursor. The original reason for the re-install was because there were problems with the 100s of Eventviewer "Errors" .( I've bought a seperate mouse to be able get this far and, it's taking some getting used to after been "mouseless" for so many years)! There is a file in Windows the appear to relate to the cursor, etc however. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

Since last week I have some problems with my new HP laptop (5 weeks old). Every time I leave my laptop and it switches to sleep mode (or wathever mode its called), the screen stays black. I get responses from my keyboard lighting etc. But the screen stays black. I have to shut down my laptop by holding down the power button, when it restarts, it works again.
I also have to mention that my computer froze more than often the las couple of days, with only the internet on and my fan is making a lot of noice, with no heavy programms running.
Does somebody has any idea what the problem could be?
