Keyboard entries p (skip); cursor flies off to othespots in paraph. [Mispelling is not mine.}
Ten days old. S(k)ips letters, swings cursor to previous te (xt). I am not a speed typist. Sometimes need hit letter key 3 times. C(u)riosly, experienced similar problem with previ ous HP laptop when purchased 3 y(ear)s ago. I have already insta(lle) d other apps that worked ok on HP laptop, Windows 10. T(hey) perform ok.
Settings for keybrd ok, factoryset.

Black Screen
My kids play online games on this laptop and after about an hour the screen goes black(it is back lit). If the laptop gets put to sleep, after a few hours the screen will work again. Te laptop is about five or six years old. Just want to know if this is a problem with the mother board or an overheating problem and if it is worth repairing. Any help is appreciated.

My new HP laptop won't stream videos online.
Two weeks ago I bought a HP '15-ba077sa 15.6' laptop from PC World and while the DVD player works and plays movies fine, when I go online to stream videos, such as a TV show nothing works. It will come up with the player and just keep buffering while not actually loading anything. I've tried it on IE and Chrome and Firefox and they all keep doing the same. Anything you'd be able to help me with or suggest I do?

Vertical white line down the display
Hi guys, this is my first post on one of these forums.
I have 2 vertical white lines that go all the way down the display on the laptop. Had the laptop just over 12 months therefore is out of warranty. How can I fix this issue? Will HP be able to replace or repair this?
Also is there an email address to contact HP customer support as I couldnt find one on the website.

Hp 450 g1 problem with dual graphics drivers
I got this laptop with Windows 8 pro installed. It has dual graphics amd hd8500 - 8700m. Intel 4600. I have done a fresh install of Windows 10. It seems that the Amd doesnt work. Only the Intel is being used. Tried reinstalling but same problem. Tried in Windows 7 but same problem. Many people have this problem and there is no proper solution. Please help me.

Graphics problem in Envy laptop
I recently did several updates from HP. Shortly after I notice when I hover over a desktop icon the text line that appears is partially blacked out. I was hovering over the Firefox icon.
And this is an example from a drop down menu in my picture editing program.
I can click on the top drop down and the black lines dissapear until I scroll on the drop down with the cursor. I'm trying to find out if this is bad video and I need to sent the computer in for warranty. I am considering reloading the computer. I often do this with my laptops once a year or so. But first I would like an opinion on what this might be. This only affects drop down and pop up text as far as I can tell, so it still could be software related, I hope.
This is my device manager, almost useless.

Unable to extend display
Weird problem...
I'm running Win 7 - 64 bit
Machine is an HP Folio 9470m
Docked in a 2013 slimline docking station
If I use the dual display port adaptors on the docking station the machine does not recognize the second monitor as second but sees it at a primar and duplicates the display. In no configuration does it recognize that there is even a second monitor attached but my display is duplicated.
If I take the second DP plug out of the dock and plug it into the DP port on the side of the laptop suddenly the machine recognizes the second monitor and extends the display with no interaction.
1. I have reinstalled the graphics driver on the machine.
2. I have updated the firmware on the docking station.
3. I have a similar machine for my work and when I plug it into the same dock it works perfectly (uses the two DP plugs in the dock and extends automatically).
4. Every bit of firmware on the laptop is up to date; BIOS included.
5. Every Windows patch necessary has been applied.
I have tired everything short of rebuilding the OS which I am confident will work due to #3 above.
Originally this laptop was built on one of the older docking stations with one DP port. My working theory is that there is a registry setting which is only seeing the dock as the older version and therefore not allowing it to recognize that there is a second display.
Other than this quirk the machine works perfectly.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Laptop does not work , and now it will not turn on . When inserting a battery or charger cpu fan starts 3 seconds and turns off...
until I unplugged . There is no indication on the computer , I tried to do everything what it could be ?

My Screen Brightness is getting automatically reduced to zero even after repeatedly disabling the power saver to adjust screen brigtness option and there are 3 white dots appeared in the screen.Its Hardly been 5 months ..since i purchased this new Laptop and also shift + C for writing capital C is also not working.But C keypad single handedly is working.
Please help me with these issues.Waiting for a reply..

HP Probook 650 G1: 4K + HD on external monitors
Hello,
Before byuing a 4k monitor for my laptop, I would like to get sure my integrated graphics can handle the task of running both a 4k monitor as well as a HD monitor. This setup is for office purposes only - no gaming intended.
My laptop:
- HP Probook 650 G1, product number H5G80EA#ABN
- CPU: Intel Core i5 4200M with Intel HD Graphics 4600.
- Docking station with DisplayPort, DVI-D (dual) and VGA.
Desired setup for external monitors:
- 32" monitor with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 via DisplayPort, and
- 24" monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 via DVI-D (dual)
- (laptop screen will not be in use - lid will be closed)
Would my Probook 650 be able to handle this?

Ultra-wide (3440 x 1440) external monitor on EliteBook 8770w
Hi,
I own an EliteBook 8770w with docking station A7E32AA.
I'd like to connect a ultra-widescreen external monitor (3440 x 1440). I was not able to find information whether such monitor can be connected to this laptop (via DisplayPort or DVI) using full resolution.
Graphics chip AMD FirePro M4000 supports 4k resolution according to the specs.
Does anyone have any experience with a simular setup?
