Can someone please tell me what setting my laptop needs to be on so when I close the lid it it still displays on my external monitor. It shuts off as soon as I close it. I want to store it a better spot but I need to close the lid. HELP!!

touchscreen problem
Hi, I have a problem with touchscreen: sometimes it seems that there is someone that press in the screen and i can do anything, i can't move the mouse cursor, I can't use the touchscreen. The problem lasts 15, 20 minutes. I did 2 videos if you want to see the problem. I tried to update to windows 10 and to update the drivers.

No sound when I connect HDMI
Hi,
I am wondering why there is no sound output when I connect the laptop to my TV via HDMI. Usually, in other laptops, the sound output will get trasnferred to the TV automatically.

Folio 9470m Native Resolution Gone After Windows 10 Update
Hello everyone, this is my first post on the HP forums! I am having a problem with my screen resolution on my Folio 9470m since upgrading to Windows 10. The native resolution of this laptops monitor is 1600x900 which I had set perfectly fine in Windows 7. Since upgrading to Windows 10 the highest resolution I can select is 1366x768. I have tried updated drivers from Intel as well as from HP but none work. My question is, does anyone know how I can set my resolution in Windows 10 to its native 1600x900? Thanks!

Radeon 8670 current driver doesn't allow colour management
Hi, this is my first post on the forum. The problem I am facing is fairly simple: after I updated the Radeon 8670M driver for my computer in August I immediately found that the colour management system was not working any more. Impossible to use an ICC profile, impossible to calibrate a monitor (I tried X-Rite and the built-in Windows tool, both failed), any functionality dealing with colour management had simply disappeared from my machine and been replaced by an error message - aaargh!!!
At the time I found that all the problems disappeared as soon as I rolled back the Radeon driver to the previous (ie. July 2015) driver, and instructed Windows 10 not to try upgrading this driver any more. Obviously the problem was caused by a major bug in the new driver, but a simple tunraround was to just keep using the previous driver. So far so good.
But now things have just gotten worse. Due to a problem with a software, I tried finding the current Radeon driver, which turned out to still be the dreaded August version, resulting in the same mess as before. When I tried rolling back this driver again to the working July version, I had the very bad surprises that (1) the "Roll back driver" in the control panel is now greyed as if there was no previous version, and moreover (2) it is not even possible to find the June version on the HP web site - or anywhere else for that matter.
So: How/where do I get the Radeon 8670M driver dated July 6, 2015, so I can use my computer for my work in photography again? I can't believe it is not possible.
And of course I have a second question: how come that no new version of the driver has been released since August to fix such an obvious flaw? I do hope someone will take the time to solve the problem and issue a fully working driver soon.

Pavilion 14-204sf has an AMD video adapter but driver update is for an nVidia
Hi, in my attempts to find a solution for my problem with the current graphics driver for my Pavilion 14-n204sf, I located on HP's web site the list of proposed drivers in which the graphics driver is for a nVidia whereas the graphics adapter in the machine is an AMD Radeon 8670M as stated in the data sheet and reported in the control panel of the machine. What is the reason of this discrepancy? Do both adapters use the same driver, or is it just a mistake - and in this case, where is the Radeon driver?

Black Screen and Caps Lock flashing
To whom it may concern,
Good evening!
I was working on Word and I assume the combination of some letters I had to use changed something on the pc. I could not type properly any more, as the pc was receiving requests as if I was using coding for what I wanted to do. I could not stop this, so I decided to switch off the pc. When I turned it on, the screen would appear black and the caps lock flashing.
May I ask why this happened and how I can solve it?

Baterry Charging
Hello,
My laptop is fairly new and when I plug in the charger (or take it out) it blinks once.
I know this doesn't sound like a huge problem but I'm wondering if this will grow to be a huge problem and I was wondering if there is any way to fix this.
So clearly the problem is this:
I plug in the charger. Computer notes that it is now charging. Screen blinks (completely goes black then returns).
or
I unplug the charger. Computer notes that it is now uncharging. Screen blinks (completely goes black then returns.)

touch screen inactive
The touch screen on my photosmart 7510 is not illuminating and is not responsive to touch. Also the manual off / on switch is locked in the on position and cannot be turned off. I recently switched to windows 10 , but the printer was still working until just recently

When will Spectre X360 be out with a new model?
I have decided to postpone my purchase of a Spectre X360. I liked it until I read some of the user experiences here and on Amazon. Having owned an HP before and having the MB go out shortly after the warranty, I tend to believe posters complaints of failed MB's and cracked screens, especially on a new model found both here and on Amazon. I happily by products from Amazon with 10% or less 1 star ratings ("poor"), but the Spectre has earned a scary 23% "poor" ond only 58% 5 star ratings...
Bestbuy shows the Spectre X350 as a clearance item and it is almost one year old. Any guess when a new model model may be released that may correct the high MB failure rate and cracked screen problem?

notebook pc radeon VGA card
Hi... I am using a hp 1000 1103tx notebook pc and now I can't enable my radeon vga. (As I think). It only shows intel hd graphics famiky and just 1664 MB. But in the device manager it shows there is a radeon graphic adapter and it works.
Recently I faced a new problem. (I think it also because of this.) When I tried to sleep my pc it struck and have switched off it using the power button to restart.
How can I resolve this? Thankz.

Screen brightness change is not linear when pressing button
Hello,
when i press brightness buttons there is a point where it increases a lot (usually pressing button it increases a little bit every time). Ex: i press the button and gains 10%, push again another 10% more, and if i push again it gains 30%! like pressing more times! it's annoying because if i want a mid-way gain i cannot, or not enough bright or too much. I hope have been clear.

Unable to Install Intel HD Graphics Driver
Hello,
By mistake, I installed the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter to replace the Intel HD Graphics on my laptop. Now I just want to reinstall the Intel HD Graphics 4000 graphics driver. For some reason, I keep getting the error message "the setup program failed to install one or more device drivers". What is the cause of this problem??? I tried rebooting, rebooting to safe mode, disabling/uninstalling the VGA driver, but had no success.
It seems that the driver I'm supposed to install is the win64_153336 - using the Intel Update Utility also gives me this result. It just refuses to install. I had this issue before, then I got around it by installing an older driver, sp56808. Now even this is not working.
My laptop is a HP dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC and my OS is Win 7 Ultimate x64.
