I have a HP special edition 15-p058na laptop and it works ok but the problem is that the screen will go black randomly. When it's plugged into the power or not and sometimes when it's been powered on for a long time and sometimes when I've just switched it on. I've noticed recently it's been flickering a little when i'm sing it. If I press the power button and power it down and on again it will work again for a while.
Any one got ideas what this could be?
I was trying to get this HP POS laptop to start sending the video to HDMI and I hit the wrong thing, HDMI to WiDi, so no w all I have is a black s reen..... How do I get out of this mode????

Probing the hardware and BIOS seems to show a much higher resolution than the drivers apparently allow. The maximum resolution from the driver appears to be 1366x768@60Hz. This is an Intel I5 dual core processor with integrated graphics. Are there newer drivers available that will give me better resolution?

The background on my windows has changed to this green color (from normal white).
It happened suddenly while I was on the laptop. All text boxes are filled with this same green - for instance the login box if filled with green. Attached is a picture of my Google home page. You can see what I mean.
I found the windows display settings and reset the background of windows to white, pressed apply/ok and it flickered momentarily trying to go white then went back to green.
Ran Malwarebytes and AVG and found nothing.
Did system restore back to March and no change.
Can anyone help me?
I currently have HP ENVY 17-j057cl Leap Motion SE Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR). I have tried a everything in forums. When go to the Device Manager. The touchscreen isn't there at all to include under Dispaly, Human Interface Drivers, etc. When I try to find the driver I don't get anywhere nor when I utilize the HP Support Assistance. Please provide how I can get it working again.

I have a HP DV6-6165tx laptop.It has a amd radeon HD6770m graphic processor.The laptop is working fine,but I can't update the graphic driver.I have tried both the official Amd site and HP Support site.My graphic proceesor is detected,but when I run the installer simply the installation fails(from both sites).i am basically using a 2011 driver,so it would be nice if you could help me out on this.

I have a hp pavilion g series and last night when I opened it it started in safe mode automatically. I restarted the pc and it opened in normal mode. Today apparently after an update around 3 AM, I couldn't open it in normal mode. It would go to the Windows icon and then it went black with the power button still on and the vent working. So I try to open it on safe mode and I do, I do a system restore to before the update and still nothing. I can't open it on normal mode. I do this a couple of times and still nothing. So I try to save as much information as I can and I forget about it. At night I tried opening it again and it works like magic! So I don't know what's wrong with it. I just don't want it to happen again so what can I do to prevent this? Please let me know, any help is appreciated!!!

Recently, I had problems with overheating on my probook model HP4520s. After inspection the issue was resolved by replacing processor fan. Probably unimportant the old battery was also replaced. So far, the probook was working perfectly without bugs.
Today, the display start blinking and after few moment turn white. After turning of and on computer work correctly for cca. 5 min and then the problem showed again this time turn black.
After testing I have concluded: sometimes the display block at certain color (white, blue) , sometimes the dimmer turn on the extreme small amount of brightenes, and somethimes display don't show nothing.
Do you think this is the problem with display or graphic card or something else(don't have another display to test)?
If it is graphis can I replace it?

Just received my brand new HP Envy 15T-K200 laptop and I've got a few concerns where I thought I'd ask here before returning it to HP for a refund.
This particular model has The Intel HD4600 Graphics
1. The Display is very grainy. It looks like a screen door where all images look pixelated.
2. Windows icons, fonts, and GUI interface buttons are fuzzy and blurry.
3. HP Applications are crashing, and the Recovery Media creator wouldn't create the recovery discs
4. The Product Code shown on my order - and on the shipper shows a different Product code than what is printed on my laptop.
My order and shipper show Product Code K2T41AV. The laptop battery compartment Sticker shows a different Product Code of lesser value (I think it was K2T35 or similar). Did I get the incorrect laptop shipped? Both Product codes say the Laptop is a K200 per HP's site, but the different product codes.
Focusing on the deal breaker for me - the Display.
I checked the display properties and nothing seems out of order.
Resolution is up to maximum. I did try changing it to a lesser value, but it just made the display more fuzzy and blurry.
It appears to be the screen itself rather than a video issue, since the screen appears to be a matte finish, like a year 1999 flat panel monitor - with similar resolution.
Has anyone else ordered this unit and had the similar experience?
Did you find it to be a driver issue, or was it hardware?

If I play any videos including online using the Internet Explorer or Google Chrome as well as any videos stored or downloaded on my laptop in Multimedia player the audio is fine but the screen for video is green.
My laptop was a Christmas gift so I have had it for a few months.
Ii install a new windows 8.1 x64 and when i update amd vga radeon hd 7400m
it`s give me error that Displayed driver stopped responding and has recovered ,
so i can`t do any thing on my Lap i try HP drivers , AMD drivers and let the windows update it too but the same problem and some time get the Blue screan ,
i now work with the intl only , i spend two weeks try to solve it , What i do to let AMD update well??!

Lync Video not working, same issue with some other models of HP laptops. Camera works in Silverlight.
Have already tried to "disable hardware graphics accelerations" as many sites suggest, inlcuding Microsoft.

This is a work laptop. Has 8Gb physical RAM, but only 3G available to the system. How can I adjust the settings to claim some back from the onboard video?
I don't see anything in the BIOS settings to do this.

i just purchase the HP 450 G2 i install all the drivers but couldnt find my AMD Graphic card working so i need help to make it working. amd catalyst control center installed but doesnt configure the driver device manager shows both amd & intel cards with no errors.

I have taken pictures with my laptop and YOUCAM but I find it very hard. I now want to take a video, so I will have to turn my laptop around which means the keyboard will be away from me and then adjust the screen so I make sure I'm getting everything in the video as I talk along with it. I want to know why can't I keep the screen facing me as it is now and walk around filming my video. If I did it will start recording me, is there a fix for this........HELP. Thank you JodyMN
