Regarding screen resolution adjustment
I have HP g series laptop. Serial no is 5CD134021K. and product id is QG468PA#ACJ. I cannot adjust screen resoltion f2 and f3 key is not working. Please also provide me the recovery of my orignal data..as HP do not provide any recovery disc.

Display panel upgrade
Got a hardware question.
I purchased a HP Pavilion 15 - HP Pavilion 15-p051sq (ENERGY STAR) (J7U16EA) - laptop last year and it has a very good hardware configuration
Intel® Core™ i5-4210U, 1,7 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores CPU with integrated video Intel HD 4400 ,
8 GB SDRAM DDR3L, 1600 MHz (1 x 8 GB),
HDD: 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA,
LED illuminated HD BrightView 15,6" display at 1366 x 768 max resolution,
NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M (2 GB dedicated DDR3).
As you might have already noticed, my issue is the lousy resolution this HP laptop panel has : LED illuminated HD BrightView 15,6" display at 1366 x 768 max.
Can anyone suggest a replacement panel with a higher resolution ?
The power consumption is not an issue here, since the laptop only stays at home on AC power.
Or, can anyone suggest how to contact HP by phone or recommend a contact at HP support I can call to get directions towards fixing this ?

hp pavilion dv7 7027cl display removal
I am trying to remove the display and I got the keyboard removal portion of the task and the keyboard seems to be very hard to dislodge from the notebook. It feels like I could break it quite easily.
My question is: should the keyboard be that hard to dislodge?

blackcreen but works with external monitor
Hi, I need help with my moms notebook its HP not sure about the model but it's definitely one of those old ones.
so she was restarting her NB probabbly by taking the power cable off. Now the notebook wont load just blackscreen so I tried few usual stuff like taking the battery and power cable off and press power button for a minute and it didnt help so i decided to connect external monitor and both of them turned on even the notebook screen. however as soon i turn on her notebook without extra monitor there is blackscreen again.

Switchable graphics for DM4-1042tx on Windows 8.1
Hi,
I recently upgrading my OS to Windows 8.1. After both drivers (Intel & AMD) installed by windows update i always got bootloop. i never get this problem when i was still using windows 7. i already tried download & install the most recent driver from Intel & AMD, but i'm still getting the same problem.
Is there any driver provided by HP so i can switch which graphic adapter that i want to use ?

HP ENVY 15-k008ne display driver
I have HP ENVY 15-k008ne with no orignal recovery or drivers CD, so I downloaded from the HP website all the drivers and setup it but Intel HD Graphics Family in device manager shows yellow mark with this note "
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)
If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."
I tried to redownload it and setup but the problem did not solved... can you tell me what shoud i do next

I'm in love with my HP Envy ultrabook 6. I waited over a year to get a chance to buy it by searching almost daily the machine and purchase on the internet. Downloaded manuals, photos, videos and maintenance of all that I could be useful in the future. It's a fantastic machine, what more could top adiquirir, still doing upgrades later. Screen 15.6 "16GB ram, 32GB + 120GB SSD, dedicated video card 2GB, just over 1.7kg, really a dream notebook !!
However, I face a problem with the opening of my screen. Something that has been getting worse over time and now just prevents me from using the machine.
Disassembled the display bezel and shifted the plastic hinge cover, exposes the hinge mounting structure. This is attached to the screen through a "sloshing" attached to the inside of the brushed aluminum cover (home screen). This "flat iron" has the threads receiving the screws, which secure the hinge to the screen allowing the opening of the lid. After fully fall, to examine the parts, it seemed that the "flat iron" was simply glued to the aluminum cover. As the other side is still fixed, without unmounting it (even by preventing occur the same problem), I had no way to confirm whether to be welded or simply pasted.
In the end, I need the help of friends to solve the problem. There are no broken or damaged parts. Just need to know if the set is glued or welded. And, in case it is stuck, if you have access to the material used in the factory, maybe even solve for min repair. Thanks for the support.

dvd player external does not work
Two weeks ago I bought a HP Stream 11" with no CD/DVD drive; when connecting an external CD/DVD drive via USB does not work and appear a window that says a file is missing; I am kindly asking for your help regarding what has to be done in order to make it work. Please note that the External DVD/CD drive worrks perfect on others Laptops I own

MUTE BUTTON LIGHT IS NOT WORKING!!!
I purchased a HP Pavilion 14 notebook series laptop(not touch screen). I have had it for 3 months, and now the mute button light won't work(after i had refreshed my pc). The mute button itself works, but not the light. How can I fix this? I run Windows 8.1 64-bit if that is of any use. Thanks!

Intel High Definition (HD) Graphics Driver update failed - (2015 version!)
I'm very disturbed that the issue I am having with my brand new HP Envy laptop is one that has been the subject of ongoing discussions in the HP forums. Why hasn't this been figured out and resolved? Why isn't HP chiming in instead of letting forum participants come up with all sorts of "fixes" (and I use the term loosely based on subsequentresponses).
HP - I would expect it's time for you to provide a fix for this ongoing issue. I anxiously await your reply.
BTW: the detachable keyboard I got out of the box is intermittently working - for that at least I am getting repair from HP, but this has been a disappointing purchase for me especially since my ancient desktop pavilion continues to hum along beautifully. Wish I cold have converted it for travel needs, but here I am, in the forums, discussing problems from a brand new purchase. Not good HP!!!!

black screen
On facebook and other sites I am unable to see videos. For example theon facebook video is there but when I click play the screen goes black. There is audio but can't see the video. On other screnes say like ESPN all I get is black screen no option to play. If I right click on it and choose settings no options to show. What's the problem and how do I fix it. All updates are current. I recently had a hdd crash and had to reinstall everything don't kow if that has anything to do ith it.

spectre touch ultra book - graphics issue with AutoCAD and Adobe

Just received my new Spectre touch ultra book and having loaded a trial version of AutoCAD LT 2015 the display of text items is all out of scale. I'm having the same issue with Adobe and the explorer window. I've tried changing the screen resolution but this doesn't work.
Are you able to advise if there is a driver update to overcome this problem?

Grey screen when booting up, then no graphics
When I turn my laptop on I am greeted by a grey screen, it then turns a pinky colour but there is no text or graphics on view - I then try and type in my password as I am guessing it is at login screen - vertical lines appear for each character I type, then the pink disappears and all I can see is vertical stripe.
If I press the windows button, it toggles between the pink screen and stripe screen.
No desktop is on display at any time.
Help! The laptop is under 3 months old

Flickering monitor
Hello, I have a 15-r138nl laptop with windows 8.1, and I noticed that when i open something with a dark backgroun, the monitor starts to flickering...
For example, I work on photoshop, and everytime it seems like the luminosity change by itself. That happen even when I simply open the start screen.
It's pretty annoying, but I can't solve the problem, I've updated the bios, but nothing changed.
This don't happen when the laptot is in charge.
Please help me, I would not want to send the laptot in assistance, it's already the fourth pc that I change!
