Hello,
I have a HP Notebook 2000, with Windows 8.1. At some point, the hdmi output to monitor stopped sending an audio signal. The video signal is fine.
It is labled in Device Manager: 1-STD HDMI TV (AMD High Definition Audio)
The monitor and hdmi cable work fine with other computers.
I have disabled/enabled the HDMI device, and also updated drivers (Windows says my drivers are up to date).
Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I changed the op system on a pc that was given to me, to windows 7, 64 bit. Screen resolution is very poor, tried to DL varias Nvidia drivers to no avail. I even changed the inverter and the screen itself, also no change. Should I just go back to the old op system???????. or just sit back farther
As soon as i turn on my DV7-3057 laptop it has a white screen. I checked the the screen cable to make sure that the connection was good and wire are good and hooked up a HDMI cable to see if it would display that way, but it did not. Im out of ideas.
Hi, I have an HP Pavilion P series Laptop. I want to change my Dedicated video memory as I am unable to play several games such as GTA4. My laptop is showing "Total Available Graphic Memory : 1792 MB" but "Dedicated Video Memory : 0 MB". Pls help I have a 4 GB RAM and I read on the net that with a 4 GB RAM i can easily increase my Dedicated Video Memory to about 512 MB.
So I just bought and installed a new replacement screen for my laptop, everything works just fine except for my webcam. Everytime I go on skype it says it cannot find a webcam. I pulled of the plastic covering to check to see if the webcam is connected and it seems to be. Anything you guys could tell me that I should be looking for. How in the world can I fix this? Thanks

Hi,
I am using a g6-1004tx model.
This problem has been persistent for quite sometime now.
After I boot up my laptop, there's a yellow solid screen which appears before the main starup page
comes on.
I have updated all the drivers, but the yellow screen is still appearing.
Kindly look into this.

i recently bought my hp pavilion n217sx and i noticed that it has a NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M graphics card (dedicated) as it said but when i go to the control panel, I only saw intel hd graphics.? maybe my laptop is fake.. or maybe my driver is the problem??

I just update graphic driver AMD Radeon HD 7470 from AMD official website, but after i restart my Notebook get stuck at startup logo.
Ok before you say it the skpe or anything else please note I have tried my webcam with only it running and the lag is HORRID please advise me what to do regarding this..also if I can't fix it (GOD Help me) is there a external I can buy that is compatable with windows 8.1

I just bought this laptop (specs below), but for some purposes, the resolution isnt high enough for me. (1280 x 800 ) Can these things power an external monitor with a higher resolution? I apologise if that's kind of a newbie question. Any advice/explanations appreciated. TIA

I have the following computer:
HP Envy 15 Notebook PC (15-1050NR)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 Series (Driver Version: 8.712.0.0)
It has the latest driver from HP (circa 2010).
Since we can't use the AMD updates for this card, and HP hasn't updated, I am unable to play games like Titan Fall or Planetary Annihilation, even though I meet the hardware requirements.
Above laptop was originally running Windows Vista. Youcam software works ok, but when running skype, Skype software does not find the internal video camera.
Have gone to Options/video, but no camera listed.
Bios upgrade done.
Intel video drivers upgraded.
Running latest version of Skype.
Plugged in an external 'Skype compatable' video camera. Still no camera listed under tools/options/video
Upgraded operating system to Windows 7 Home Premium, and issue remains.
How do I resolve this issue please.
Note. Skype does not detect either an internal or external video camera. Unable to select internal or external video camera under the options tab.
I put a new battery in my HP Pavilion laptop, running Vista. Now the text/font size is huge. How do I get back to regular size? I tried pressing control-shift and - but nothing changed.
