i have hp core i3 2310M model......some days back my computer started giving the problem of non detection of camera whenever i open skype....previosly it was working fine........i dont know whats the problem...i searched it online but didnt succeed.....plz somebody help
I have a HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC (Product number: QG704EA#B1A) with an AMD radeon HD 6700M graphics card. Most of my games crash, im always given a graphical error, i experience freezes, lagging and general overheating. This only happens when playing games.
I have done every update Intel, radeon and hp offers and nothing works including bios updates. All my research tells me its just a bad compatibility with the graphics card. Can that really be true? Have i wasted over a thousand euro on just bad hardware??
My warrenty expired already, i had no idea this could happen with a laptop.

I have an old dv9000 that smoked and I recently purchased a used dv9720us that is busted up so that I can take all the parts and switch them over.
I figured all dv9700's have an HDMI port but this one does not. It has the space for one but it's sealed up. Is it possible for me to take the HDMI port from the dv9000 and install it into the dv9720us? I know I will most likely have to do some soldering if so but before I start the process of disassembling both machine's I want to make sure that it is even possible.

i bought my HP 15-d008tu Notebook (windows 8.1) about a month ago..bt recently i have noticed that my screen is flickering when the machine is not connected to the power cord,,however when it is connected to the power chord ...display has no trouble..the flickering is maximum when the computer is starting or shutting down...i am a novice...have absolutely no idea about laptops...so plzzz help...detailed guide will be appreciated .

On Christmas, I received an HP Pavilion Touchsmart as a christmas present. Now last month, I came home from work and I opened my laptop and the screen was shattered.( I was just on my computer 15 mins before I got home), Now I have never dropped my laptop ever. Its still brand new. There is no damage to the laptop outer casing. I spoke to an HP Technical Support agent ( which he was rude to me) , described what had happened, and he told me that manufactures warranty doesn't cover accidental damage. From the time of me coming home to opening my laptop, doesnt make sense how my screen was shattered. The agent told me that it would be $250 to fix the computer. Now i have used HP products all my life and not once have I had this much trouble. I love HP, but right now, there not too good in my eyes.

I have a zbook with a nvidia quadro 610m graphics. I cannot get the gpu to save settings or engage when playing games. It was working until I tried to give windows 8 a try.
I did a fresh install of windows 8. Then I installed the hp drivers cd that came with workstation. Everything says it completed successfully and I've rebooted multiple times.
When I open the nvidia control panel, none of the settings I change stick. E.g. tell every program to use the 610m. I click apply it looks like it was successful. However, if I open the nvidia control panel again, all changes are reverted. I restarted after hitting apply too. It doesnt matter what the changes are, they all revert.
I'm guessing I screwed up with the driver install or something but IDK.
The device manager says that the 610m is working properly and the driver is up do date. Any ideas on what to do?

The display brightens about 1 second after an application closes on a HP Envy Touchsmart 15-j051sa. Dual graphics Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M. Adaptive brightness is off and I'm on battry power. Any ideas?

I have a HP Pavilion and when putting in a cd all that happens is you hear the cd spinning but no screen prompts to tell you what to do, then the cd just quits. You see nothing on the screen to prompt you.
While watching netflix, about an hour in my screen will go blank and pause the movie. Once this starts it'll go blank about every 20 mins or so. It doesn't get too hot, power brick isn't too hot and i have all the updated drivers. Please help

But setup is aborted due to below error , Can you please help me resolving the issue. I need to install this & connect my laptop to Wirelss display for presentations

I have a Probook 6550B with windows7, Intel HD Graphics.
It switches irregularly to 'duplicate screen' mode when there is no external monitor connected. In fact, when i do attach an external monitor and set the intel HD graphics to 'internal screen' - it keeps that setting and the external monitor stays black... but as soon as i disconnect it, the laptop resets to 'duplicate screen mode' again (or whatever the English version of Windows7/the Intel driver calls it... with cloned screens.)
When i manualy select 'internal display', after a while the laptops bleeps - and switches to 'cloned screen with external monitor' again..(Fn-F4 or via the fastmenu on the right, no screen cloning or wide desktop; 1 internal monitor only.
i do receive an error message: that the screen resolution is not optimal for the external monitor...
I have not found any reason (software, heat, overload) for the laptop to spontaniously switch it's graphics settings. It happens while playing a game, but also when nothing (except for the OS) is running.
When i only connect a VGA cable, without monitor, the laptop still tries to switch to cloned screen...
The laptop has been send to HP - but it never got repaired... so the desparate owner (who switched to Mac, by the way) asked me to fix it ;-)
Boy, am i lucky...
I tried to disable the external VGA in the BIOS - no succes
I did update, replaced, reinstalled the driver Intel HD driver - no succes
I even reinstalled Windows7 - you guessed it. Even with a totaly clean install (reset), the problem occurs.
Since i haven't found anyone with the same problem, i guess it's a hardware error...

I just began having issues viewing video through Facebook and Youtube. I get an error message that reads "An error occurred, please try again later" over a black screen.
Haven't found similar messages for this notebook. Any suggestions?

Since an upgrade to windows 8.1, the graphics have split diagonal lines through boxes on the screen.
I have checked for driver updates, but apparently everything is up to date?
PC is a Pavilion 15 Notebook - still under warranty
Any ideas for a fix?
As well as that, the printer software is gone and the dvd player won't work.
Should I take this back to the store that sold it?
